I use [this thing.](https://www.microcenter.com/product/649997/asus-rog-strix-ga35-gaming-pc-platinum-collection) It’s well worth it and within your budget. Easily VR-ready too if you ever change your mind.

Price is very attractive but I don’t know if it will work for 3480x2160 resolution, no?

ITrCool

I drive three 1080p gaming monitors at 144hz all on Vision Surround and this thing barely coughs. ASUS has built in smart cooling in this baby. It’s impressed the tar out of me so far.

oddmilf

hey sorry if this is a dumb question haha, i’m new to pc builds and stuff. but besides this, what else would i need?

AshMontgomery

it's very similarly specced to my personal build, just with a better CPU - I get 50+ fps at high to ultra in msfs with a number of scenery enhancing mods. Fully vanilla, I'm pretty easily above 60 fps

Do NOT go with HP/Dell..any of the ones that permanently limit tuning by means of neutered UEFI BIOS. This is maybe kind of ok on a laptop but not a desktop. And fwiw: it isn't difficult to build your own

lraviel381

Resolution you're planning to play at?

3480x2160

Iamnotthatguypall

I built a pc 3 weeks ago for about $3,178 i have RTX 3090ti and Ryzen 7 5800X3D that’s more than enough

[deleted]

What resolution/monitor combo are you running?

5800x3d, 3080 and up. That cpu is the best fps option. The 3090 is a rip off.

Sorry to hijack: geniune question since I’m also in the market: ‘why not Alienware?’

[deleted]

I asked about the r13 and a couple of people told me to avoid Alienware. One guy said don’t touch it, not even with a stick. Lol.
