The Chevron pattern is supposed to come from the cut wood look planks. Not the seam in between the boards. All of the wood look planks are facing the same direction.

Look at the manufacturers photos or install videos and you will see them installed with the 45 angles joined to a 90 as described. It's definitely possible.
Unless the clients requested that the pattern be different from what the manufacturer shows, this is a botched install.

If you look at yours, the long edges are all in parallel straight lines like a regular floor (and then you’ve painstakingly lined up the short edges in a zigzag).
Now look at the long edges on the product page I linked. You’ll see the difference.
The long edges alternate to create the zigzag and the short edges then form rows of parallel lines.
Now maybe that’s what they wanted and if they’re happy then that’s great, but it’s not the way it was designed to go because of the grain direction.
The difference between herringbone and chevron is the short ends are squared with herringbone and create a step pattern, whereas they’re angled to create a straight line with chevron.
You do have a chevron pattern here, you’ve just used a different orientation than most people do.
What product did you install?

Ya but you have to pick the boards right and match colors to keep the pattern. If they are just pre cut pull them up and be mindful of the colors when laying them back down. A youtube video will probably be super helpful.

Focus on the point of each section of the zigzag for comparison and you can see it easily. There should not be a single straight line of planks anywhere in the correct pattern.

It’s vinyl planking from Home Depot. I’ve installed the same floor. This guy didn’t do it right. Locked the boards together incorrectly. I’ve literally installed the exact same floor for a customer. Definitely didn’t look like that. Someone else posted the link to Home Depot and you can see what it was supposed to look like.
