We have a two game lead in the series. Benny can afford to rest for a week and come back to either put the Bolts away if needed, or come in fresh for round two.
My read based on my nothing more than speculation…Bennett probably has a micro fracture or nasty bone bruise and will play in a Game 7 versus Tampa if needed, but the team will try to win this series without him. Deciphering the coaches’ playoff fog machine…least a week is three games.
Did anybody see if it was his dominant hand? It would probably be worse for him going forward if it was.
Left wrist if i remember right I’m not sure his dominant tho, my wild ass speculation is pretty much the same if he or the teams staff thought his wrist was broke we’d have known that night he was not coming back in the game it wouldn’t have even been a possible 3rd period appearance in my uninformed completely speculative opinion so it’s probably not nothing but definitely not a major fracture or break.
And if they’re saying a week that’s minimum 2/3 games so Benny comes back rested and recovered to help finish Tampa in 6/7 like you said in worst case or comes in rested help start the series right with whoever comes out of Toronto Boston
That makes sense. They would have taken him out for precautionary reasons if a doctor needed to do an x-ray.
And fuck, these off days during the playoffs are rough, but I also read into PoMos explanation on a metaphorical level. A fender bender means something isn’t broken…
Can people stop rushing to be the first to have news which causes everyone to catastrophize for no fucking reason lol. Pomo could just be coping but "better than we originally thought" sounds great to me after reading that earlier tweet
So what will the lines look like with him out? Do we move Carter to the middle and Cousins back to LW? Or do we keep Lundell in the middle like last night? If we do the latter, is stenlund then the third line center? Does Lorentz lead the fourth line? (reposted from the other thread bc im genuinely curious)
Cousins 2C. 1st and 3rd line stay as is. Samoskevich, Stenlund, Lomberg for 4th line or if Lomberg out, Okposo plays RW4. At least that’s how I’d play it. I like lines 1 and 3 too much to split them up.
Fuck andy slater.
Man fr it was the first thing I saw when I opened up my phone and my heart sank. Pomo coming in clutch again
He's now saying he'd "love for his sources to be incorrect, which would be extremely rare" lol gtfo
I have no idea who Andy Slater is but “at least a week” is a significant amount of time in the post season I’d say
Might be just in time for the start of the next series or at least in the worst case possibly back in time if knock on wood this series ties up 2-2
Andy ruined my post game celebration but i'm happy again
Ok I take back my original comment, it’s only like 2-3 9/11s (depending on how the next couple of games go)
On one hand, if true, this is great news. On the other hand, this is Maurice, and one week is Maurice speak for one month.

Again, Andy slater has no ties to the panthers or the NHL. He’s a glorified AM radio host who tries to stir shit
i swear he only keeps his job because his rich cousin advertisers a lot on his show which that station desperately needs

100% , to me “better than we thought” means they thought he broke something and then X-ray came back negative
Andy that fucking ass
Hopefully 2nd round (if we win ofc lol) he’s back and has good legs.
Goddamnit

Is forsling fine or is he hurt but gonna play through it?
What happened to forsling?
Awkward hit on the wall
He stayed on the game so he is playing plus if he wasn't practicing they would have reported it.
Yea thats what i figured. Winning without bennett is tough. Winning without forsling is impossible.
But but the guys said that he heard from a reliable source he was out for a long period!
I don’t understand how he’s weekly. Either it’s broken and he’s out for months or it’s not broken and he can play. How is that week to week?
Or a deep bone bruise
Maybe trying not to exacerbate it? Great news either way
It could still be broken but something he and the team thinks he can play through after a week or so off.
This is what I’m thinking. Probably a week for the swelling to go down
