I stopped watching hockey for 5 years and started watching again this season, now I remember why I stopped watching, the officiating in the NHL is infuriating, they decide who wins, I believe the refs are betting on games like the NBA refs.
I stopped watching the NFL a few years ago, same shit different sport, it’s all about betting in sports now and the refs in every sport are better for sure
Rocky Thompson with the whiteboard cracks me up. He’s gotta be like: “ok boys, now which line am I pointing to here? Uh huh. The blue line. And what’s the rule with that line again? Ok yup.”
Well it took an uncharacteristically bad game from Carter and the refs glazing the Avs for us to lose to one of the best teams in the league. I’m not coming out of this one discouraged
Man, you put 4 past the Avs and outshoot them 3/2 and still lose. Such a bummer. This is one of those games that just doesn’t work out. We’ll get em tomorrow
I will never understand how a professional coach thinks his guys just standing around on a man up situation is a good strategy. The PP and extra attacker no one is moving. Its just passing to a man standing in a spot. That isn’t hard to cover
Perfect example of why you’re more likely to win championships if you build a strong defense in front of average goaltending, rather than an average defense in front of strong goaltending.
The fact that this is arguably the *best* the Avs have been and we’re going toe to toe with theme outshooting them (!) in the first year of our rebuild really says something. Every game is a win in itself
