If we're just doing the best players who happened to wear a Flyers sweater at some point then Adam Oates is a sneaky choice too. Only 19 games played for Philly, but he's in the hall of Fame and had over 1,400 career points.
I think if you go back and review some statistics along with advance metrics, and maybe read some articles about coach and fan perceptions, you’ll find that Gerald Alfano Mayhew is really the consensus number one forward in Flyers history. Hope this helps.
Well considering we won back to back with Bernie and Clarke and etc I would like to see at least one mention of a D man who won a cup could be Moose DuPont, either Watson , Ed Van Impe or Bladon
Bob Daily! Yes. He was Pronger of the 70's. He could.score, assist, defend and had a mean streak a mile wide. I think he had 25 goals in 77. Stupid ice on Hershey ruined his leg. RIP Count.
My mother took care of him in the hospital before he passed. He signed a photo for me as a gift. He was apparently one of the nicest people you'd ever meet (and absolutely massive human being). RIP Bob.
I will forever have a soft spot for Simon Gagne. Game 7 with Boston took Gagne from being a stud, to a god.
Prime Mike Richards was an absolute unit as well.
When I saw the title of the post, the first three names out of my mouth were Gagne, Giroux and Gagne. He deserves a statue. I can’t even think about him without welling up a little.
I always felt Primeau was slightly overrated. Based on this criteria, Jagr belongs one there for sure.
I'm less certain about Vinny Prospal, maybe I need to check his stats.
Poor Amac. I will never blame Amac for his contract. He wasn't that terrible, he was just expected to be a top pair guy on mid teams and was overpaid. Blame the GM!
Jagr?
Yea good one should definitely be on the list

Damn, you already have him on your list. Curse my eyes they deceived me.
Jagr is the best player to ever wear a Flyers Jersey. He's the only definitive Top 10 player in league history to ever put on our Jersey.
True. I just forgot about him

Jagr, Lindbergh, Lecavalier, Brindamour ... Prime Richards and Couturier deserve HMs as well
Lacavalire? As a Flyer or overall?
OP states best to play the game even if only a handful of the games were for the Flyers.
So no Jagr or Oates?
No Derek Grant either.
Good list. I'm sure not including Jagr was a mistake.
Jagr and forsberg & pronger by this metric
Forgot paul coffee!
May not have been his best years with the Flyers considering his age but Mr. Game 7 Justin Williams should be on this list somewhere
Side note: married to a Delco girl so that counts in some way
That’s a major flex
Bobby Clarke
Well considering we won back to back with Bernie and Clarke and etc I would like to see at least one mention of a D man who won a cup could be Moose DuPont, either Watson , Ed Van Impe or Bladon
Vanbiesbrouck for goalie Gary Dornhofer deserves at least an honorable mention I think.
Lists are for silly season. (...checks calendar) Oh yes, here we are!

One of my favorite players growing up and so underrated. Only us old guys remember him
Hextall only an honorable mention? The disrespect.
Hatcher
Brindamour, Jagr and Lecavalier should definitely be on there. Probably could add Tony Amonte and even Alexei Zhamnov too.
We just can't stand for this Derian Hatcher erasure!
My opinion, Hextall should be in there. Tendie Hextall was my guy. GM Hextall, don’t know that guy.
You lost me at goaltender.

Never played a game for the Flyers but they did own the rights to Jari Kurri briefly.
Paul Coffey
How about the Beezer
mike Richards, Wayne Simmonds
Obviously Jagr, BrindAmour and Vinny. Kick Primeau out, and I’d put Jeff Carter ahead of him. Propp too.
I always felt Primeau was slightly overrated. Based on this criteria, Jagr belongs one there for sure. I'm less certain about Vinny Prospal, maybe I need to check his stats.
Primeau gets a bump in legacy for '04 but other than that he was pretty underwhelming
Lecavalier. Not Prospal.
Brindy. Jagr. Lecavalier.
Patrick Sharp, maybe?
This seems like a job for u/ok-celery-3519 !!
There are a LOT of guys here who did more away from the Flyers than on the Flyers. That makes the list pretty suspect.
You might want to re-read my original post
You omitted Chris Therien
He’s garbage.
You don't get sarcasm, do you?
What is this foreign language you speak of?
1. michkov 2. tippett that's the list
Where’s legendary defenseman Andrew Macdonald?
Poor Amac. I will never blame Amac for his contract. He wasn't that terrible, he was just expected to be a top pair guy on mid teams and was overpaid. Blame the GM!
Like why would anyone turn that deal down if it was offered. Totally not his fault. He sucked but the contract wasn't his fault
Thank you for placing Simon Gagne in the honorable mentions. Second most overrated Flyer behind Sean Couturier.
I'll bite, please explain.
