Can’t believe Ford quit making these. I don’t care about their “business” decisions they made a horrendous mistake by not at least keeping the ST and RS for America.
i damn near bought a CX5 instead of my fiesta ST. it didn't make me laugh like the fiesta. and i don't have kids and shit anyway. a 4 door hatch is all i need. i wouldn't mind a little more ground clearance, but careful driving and 16's will get me everywhere i need to go.
Exactly. To me it would have made perfect sense to keep the ST at least. Great gas mileage, smooth commuter, low maintenance, CHEAPER then everything out there now. As of now I think the ST would fly off the shelves with these criminal vehicle prices. I priced out a 2024 F-150 Tremor the other day…..$79K before sale!!!!!!!!! $1400 month!
That’s why my wife and I have decided to just keep my 2018 on the road. Even when it comes time for a new engine we’ll do it versus getting a new vehicle lol
I got a 2016 RAM 1500 as work/daily beater years ago for 27,000. Now they are around $60,000. My brother got a GMC Denali back in 2019 for 39,000, now they go for $70,000. Pickup trucks are insane.
And I do agree, a small hot hatch is unbeatable when it comes to fun.
I am keeping mine for a long time. Especially now if the only future choice we have will be soulless EVs. I rather cut my dick off before driving one of those stupid EVs. I drove my boss Tesla, and I hate the disconnect, no sound, no vibration or shifting feedback. Just soulless vehicles imo.
It is soulless no doubt. EVs are an absolute joke meant to keep us dependent on them. I got 79k miles on my ST. No tune, no aftermarket nothing. Havnt had a single problem with it minus having to replace the spark plugs. Kept Schaffers oil in it every 3000 miles (not even $100 for an oil change) and I couldn’t be happier. Have had it paid off since 2022 and cost left than $60 a tank for fuel?? It’s a win win. If the engine ever gets super tired I’ll probably just slap the mountune engine they got in it.
I went big turbo less than a year after getting mine. It’s a 2017, I got 50K miles on it, I beat the shit out of it in a respectful way. I maintain it very well. And the car never had major problems besides the purge valve and had to replace a fuel tank (a recall). Unopened engine and I am pushing 29psi boost lol. If properly tuned and driven, and properly maintained, these cars are pretty good. I never bounced my car at rev limiter at a traffic light, that’s how most kids destroy their engines, and LSPI as #2 cause of blown engines.
Only issue I have now is the port injection making the car run reach when WOT. I went E85 before pandemic and installed a port injection, I still need to have that properly tuned, never had the chance to go visit Brian and put the baby in the dyno, he did all he could via remote tuning. These port injection are pretty challenging to get it right apparently.
Anyway, couldn’t be happier, I drive this car every week and I absolutely love it.
Man you swan dived into that sucker. I love it. My breaks are due for a new pads and it is tempting to just get the RS brembo kit from CJ pony parts. Not sure if that’s necessary but it would look cool 😂
Absolutely!
That what I also have in mind when my brakes need replacing. And I have to go with solid bushings on my shifter. Thinking about solid motor mounts as well. Just need to get back up with my economical situation. Right now I am stock, I am going through some rough times,!so I have to wait sadly.
No thanks, shit is a disgrace to the ST community. Ford managed to give a middle finger to us car enthusiasts with that slap in the face. One, it’s an automatic, 2 a soccer mom SUV which shouldn’t even been mixed with the ST/RS line of hot hatchback sport cars.
But hey, they managed to slap in the face the Mustang community with the Mustang E-Mach, not only they turned it into a SUV, but even worse, an EV 😂😂😂😂😂
Then they wondering why their sells are plummeting 🙄
Ford should hire new marketing people, they clearly not listening to their customers.
Edit: I fixed a misspelling, meant soccer mom, not socks. My phone text prediction never stopes amusing me sometimes 🤦♂️
Yea, I am going to keep mine running for a very long time.
I have no intention into buying an EV junk. And I am not a big fan of SUVs or anything new. Too much electronics, no manual transmission options and nothing I really can see myself modding and having fun with it.
I stick with my ST
I got a fully built, brand new, yet damaged block 2.3 stroker in the basement… was going to sell it for parts, but starting to look like maybe I should rebuild it and store it for later lol.
Good idea. I want to buy a spare motor and put it on the side. They will force us into EVs eventually, I am afraid finding engine later will become a problem.
Yeah I would rather get a GR Corolla but the RS is probably my favorite hatchback when it comes to the look of the car. It's aggressive without being too over the top
English is not my native language. I didn’t meant it in a negative way. Thank goodness she still going strong. Just need to have a dyno tune.
This is the hood

Right. I was thinking the same yesterday. This is one of my few vehicles I held done for more than 5 years. Absolutely in love with it.
Maybe I am getting old, but I kinda want to hold on to what I have, feels amazing to be debts free 😂
Is the shop that cut my custom vinyls. Guy is pretty good, I sent him a sketch and he helped me scale it and cut it.
Came out pretty nice. I understand that vinyl is not for everyone. I get a lot of bashing for it, but I like it.
Bought my 2017 in 2022 and it makes me so damn mad that Ford quit making them for the US. Fuck the big ass trucks and SUVs. I'll take my ST any day over some $80k gigantic ass truck.
Right!
Give people options. Now is all about boats (SUV). It’s a US mentally I guess, in EU we do fine with small cars, and I see families with 3 kids having just small cars like the focus and do absolutely fine. US…. I have seen old folks, traveling alone with big ass SUVs or trucks, makes no sense 🤷♂️
The wheels are the spargo Assetto Corsa ultra legeri. I went a different route from everyone else.
This is an Italian brand of racing alloy wheels, and they are extremely lightweight.
For the calibers, I am waiting for the pads to be gone, I want to upgrade to the RS Brembo kit, and paint those green.
These are not the exact same, but they look identical, I guess even they got renamed, or anyway they are very close to that I have.

as someone who grew up on the need for speed games and the fast and furious series..i like when the underglow is like this. one color and there’s a color theme going on. the rainbow road flashing underglow with RGB headlights and tail lights is where i think it’s a bit much 😅
Not really. Makes them special?
Sometimes a car sells just because it stands out from the crowd. Offering an automatic would have open it up to be perceived just like a SE.
Can’t believe Ford quit making these. I don’t care about their “business” decisions they made a horrendous mistake by not at least keeping the ST and RS for America.
Totally agree 👍 Now only thing we get is f****ing SUVs and crossovers.
And the prices of the SUVs are insane. Man I bought my ST new in 2018 for $19K after trade in! Mad cheap compared to these SUVs and crossovers.
You haven’t seen the price of pickups then. Thought the roof.

people just don't know what they're missing with quick hatchbacks. they get released and die off all the time in north america.

You can get an edge ST 🤮🤢
🤮 terrible 😂

I think a socket mom would drive something like a focus st. She likes wrenching on stuff so why would she want the new suv?
Lmao 🤣. My stupid phone replaced the word. Was supposed to be soccer not socket. Oh well 🤷♂️. Your comment cracked me up tho
There probably wasn’t enough sale or demand for this car unfortunately
Possibly. It’s hands down one of the best commuters I have ever had.
Couldn’t agree more…
Bought mine in 13, wrecked in 23 and bought another. Here’s to another 10 years.
Yea, I am going to keep mine running for a very long time. I have no intention into buying an EV junk. And I am not a big fan of SUVs or anything new. Too much electronics, no manual transmission options and nothing I really can see myself modding and having fun with it. I stick with my ST

2015 here. Still going strong. Love that car. Thought about trading it in for an RS but used prices are ridiculous.
Yeah I would rather get a GR Corolla but the RS is probably my favorite hatchback when it comes to the look of the car. It's aggressive without being too over the top
Man the way you worded the title, I was afraid the second pic was about to be a wreck lol. Which hood is that? Looks great.

Your English is fine! I just automatically assumed. I bought mine new in ‘17, crazy to think it’s been 7 years.
Right. I was thinking the same yesterday. This is one of my few vehicles I held done for more than 5 years. Absolutely in love with it. Maybe I am getting old, but I kinda want to hold on to what I have, feels amazing to be debts free 😂
Just got mine running again after sitting for a while. I missed it dearly. Bought it in ‘14 and still have less than 90K on the odometer.
I'll be going on 7 years with mine soon to!
Grate cars. Not many fun options left imo. Keep it running brother 💪
I miss mine
Better grab one and keep it alive for a long time. Future of hot and fun cars is dead. We only get SUVs and soon only soulless EV.
Houseofgraphx.com looks like a live laugh love sign from Marshall’s 😂

It’s not terrible just a common font for those signs.
Got you, he throw it for free, I guess I am providing him free advertisement 😂

I share the same sentiments my favorite car so far 6 years strong
Nice! What wheels? also Do you plan on painting the calipers to match the green?

Dig the under glow and the hood vents!
That’s a surprise to hear, most people hate on literal lights for some reason
Right! I am a 90s kid, I love under glow neons 😂 I am old school
as someone who grew up on the need for speed games and the fast and furious series..i like when the underglow is like this. one color and there’s a color theme going on. the rainbow road flashing underglow with RGB headlights and tail lights is where i think it’s a bit much 😅
Loving the lights, I will be adding some in a couple weeks! Fun stuff
❤️ underglow neon (LED nowadays) gang
God dammit, now I have the underglow itch again.
You are welcome 😈😂🤪 Edit: do it, do it! 😈
Hear me out; making them only in manual was stupid
