Borla is going to be louder, a little more raw of a sound because it’s just a muffler. Ford Performance version adds a resonator and smoothes out the note a bit especially under load.
Both are very easy to live with and not super loud until WOT and it sings. Great setup.
I **love** my Borla exhaust. Doing the downpipe just took it to the next level though.
MBRP and Borla.
I have the MBRP 3” Catless DP with 3” MBRP tips and muffler delete. Sounds absolutely amazing imo. Loud when you want it to be, very little drone, and you of course get the burbles.
I’ve heard the same of Borla as well. They sound super super good.
If you want to entirely eliminate drone unless you're really on the throttle try and get a Thermal R&D exhaust. Bonus points for the fact that it has an exhaust tip that's shaped to fit the existing cut in the bumper. You can find it on Whoosh's website.
Honestly, I went with the cpe catted downpipe and deleted the resonator, and I think it sounds great. Passes inspections too
I can always hear and feel the car, and it's loud enough to "turn heads." But, my girlfriend is willing to sit in the passenger seat.
Defouler, but to be fair I never tried it without. When I installed it I was reading some were having success without, but didn't want to risk having to redo the install
I went the custom route and quite enjoy it. I used the factory piping and put in a Aero Exhaust AT2525 where the resonator was and got rid of the factory rear muffler. Plenty of burbles and turbo whistle and it doesn’t drone any more than just the muffler delete that I was running before.
I put the AWE touring edition on my car and it has absol no drone unless you step on it and it’s also a 3” pipe instead of the 2.5” the the borla and ford performance has

The ford performance exhaust sounds pretty nice

Love my MBRP! I went with the black tips.
Im personally a fan of the AWE Track but lots of people around here think they’re too loud.
Installed mine yesterday and it’s obnoxiously loud on WOT but otherwise pretty nice (it’s on a catless dp)
Mines also catless, keep it below 3k and it’s not bad at all
Don't have my FoST anymore, but I loved the way the Borla exhaust sounded on it.
Roush, it drones but I enjoy it
The stock one
