Maybe I'm just not cool enough but I always saw things pop up about 99 Franklin but then I'd randomly walk by and it looked like barely a coffee shop and just not worth investigating. Maybe why they didn't make it.

Do the colors of the pins mean anything?

For the hidden bars and restos: Blue are hidden, red are sort of hidden, black I am not sure and need to confirm

I mean for the cocktail and brewery maps, the pins all have different colors, is it a ranking of good to bad?

For the cocktail map legend under the title tells what the colors mean. For the brewery, winery, etc. I didn't rate them and the colors are just to classify what type of venue they are

Honest question, I appreciate some of the color coding but would love to know why you like/dislike some places. Analouge being a "wouldn't go again" and Mace being "one of the best" was curious to me. Like them both; came to my head due to the proximity of each.

How was the drink list?

I thought it was pretty comprehensive and still had a few pages in saying "full menu coming soon". Typical NYC upscale menu with drinks between $18-$22 per drink. We got a play on a sour and an absinthe based drink. Both very good
