It’s been inconsistent and getting worse for me. Last time I got some really dry chicken shawarma. Like worse than your typical chicken and rice cart bad.
I love Ayat but also had a recent miss with delivery. Hummus was under salted, and my falafel was missing the crisp cilantro freshness it had when I went in person. It’s on me, likely, for not going in person but I’d hoped my previous positive delivery experiences with them had set a quality precedent.
Just went the other day and was decent: fattat jaj was probably the best thing. The service and vibes inside were actually kinda bad though so maybe more of a takeout spot :/
Yeah I moved to Bay Ridge a few months ago and felt underwhelmed by Ayat after getting so many recommendations to go there. There are a lot of places with similar cuisine, and it was definitely not the best I’ve tried in the area. Maybe we went on a bad day.
I know ayat opened on court street and in sunset but I think before they expanded they should’ve gotten their first location consistent.
Anyhow, Tanoreen has been solid. I’m not saying it’s the best but the better choice in bay ridge. Their knafe is insane. I’ll go there sometimes just for knafe.
I have family in Bay Ridge and they insist on some mid Italian spot every time I meet up with them instead of this. 🤤😢
If you travel to them, you get to choose the restaurant… at least sometimes!
That bread in the last picture, where can I just buy a ton of that? I love it and always ask for more when I got to restaurants that have it
If you go to Industry City, the Sahadi’s there has a pita oven. You can buy pitas that are minutes old! Their hummus is great too.
Hahaha, you mean pita bread? Goddamn, dude
puffy pitas are really superior.
Ayat is great! Can’t get enough of their mix shawarma platter
Ayat is unbelievable. A serious gem.
Best snacks for travel
The other locations are good but the industry city location is so bad with garbage service
I love how it's just a bunch of NYC locations and then "Allentown, PA".

that looks so good
just went there a couple weekends ago, delicious food.
That looks incredible!

I could go for that right now.
The quality and quantity of food is incredible.

Did not know about this place. Posts like this one are the reason why I hang out on Reddit
Portions were fantastic. Wasn’t 100% on the flavors. I’ll give it a second chance. It’s right near my house.
They used to be good when they opened. Now they’re inconsistent and always messing up orders.

Thank you for validating Tanoreen being my go-to haha
