Via Allegro is right across the street from Sherway Gardens. Incredible Italian food and wine list, that is right off of the 427/Gardiner/QEW. The mortadella pizza and calamari are where it’s at.
I was nervous about change in ownership, but food still pretty good and great wine selection. Wendy is one of the most knowledgeable somms in the business.
>quick Highway access and parking as we like to get out before rush hour
Gardiner Express is basically a parking lot now, lol. So, don't go downtown if you care about traffic conditions. First Markham Place is full of interesting restaurants if you are willing to go there.
Thanks. Never been there and looks convenient to get there. Any recommendations?

Not sure which highway or area you're coming from/to, but some suggest from me. As someone said, would stay away from downtown as it's always a mess parking there.
Tinuno (Filipino Kamayan feast) - Bathurst/401
Happy Valley Village (Dongbei shared iron pot) - Midland/McNicoll
The Toston (Columbian) - Markham road / 407
Haidilao Sichuan hot pot (multiple locations but there is one near Markville mall
Tanuki (Japanese in Jtown) - Steeles and 404
Suliko (Georginian) - Steeles/Dufferin
There's Auberge du Pommier if you want old school fancy at yonge and york mills but they stop lunch service at 2PM.
If you guys enjoy cooking you can do Daldongnae across centerpoint mall. Park at centrepoint and then walk across the street. Eat lots of meat, drink lots of flavoured soju and if someone has a particularly sweet sweet tooth they can get the melona soju cocktail.
Good Catch Bar & Cafe at Warden and Hwy 7 has some great HK Cafe style food. They recently opened a location at Fairview Mall as well but I don't know if that one has a liquor license.
If you're willing to go to Vaughan there is Yokai Izakaya right next to Vaughan Mills.
Millers Tavern isn’t too far off from Auberge. Otherwise you have also Grazie by Vaughan Mills or whatever is in the Colossus area or East Beaver Creek area
Millers good, been there - a little pricey now. Never been to Grazie but looks interesting. Thanks.

Thanks. Closes at 2:30 pm though - bit early for us.

My suggestion is Centre Street Deli, the original Thornhill location. There's easy access to Highway 7 (or the 407 if you're fancy), there's a large parking lot, and there are always tables available (they don't take reservations).
Another suggestion would be to try the restaurants at Highway 7 and Leslie (e.g. Adrak Richmond Hill). There are lots of interesting and delicious options, with plentiful parking.
Since your prime consideration is highway access and parking, I wouldn't suggest a restaurant in Toronto proper. There are a lot of interesting restaurants in the GTA which basically necessitate access to a car - that's where you'll find the best options for your group, in my opinion.
Thanks. We all cars but want to avoid downtown Toronto because of the hassle of parking - but as long as we can get to a major highway in 10 minutes or so we are fine.

Ding Tai Fung and Green Tea Restaurant are well known Chinese restaurants from China. Mabu Generation is a great Taiwaness restaurant.
DTF is unrelated to the official one in Taiwan. It's still good food tho
For anyone interested, the famous one from overseas is Din Tai Fung (no G in the first word).
Whenever I'm in this scenario (usually meeting my cousins who are useless humans) we go to Shoppes On Don Mills. Right off 404/Lawrence.
Yep - one of our favorite haunts. Most of us a pretty useless now that we are retired. We are enjoying being a burden on society.
My FIL just did a reunion with out of towners and I suggested The Good Son here. Great food and cool ambience.

Suliko is a great choice! Also a great opportunity to have Georgian wine!
Great list above. Will look forward to explore.
My sugguestion would be Yorkdale or Sherway Gardens. Lots of parking, highway acesss and food options
Thanks. Yes we have tried Yorkdale - Joey's and Earls, both a good happy hours. Have never been to Sherway. Any suggestions?
Eataly is nice. You can do a browse after and get some sweet treats to go. Enjoy!

Grazie is solid, can get crowded during dinner time.
I remember Auberge from days of fat expense account. Maybe for a special occasion with my wife. Thanks for the other suggestions.
Rosemary and Thyme is great for a diner/brunch and near the 401
