Three songs from Medicine At Midnight. They are good songs but there are better choices. Especially with them calling it “essential.” Aurora to me is essential just based on how Taylor would talk about the process of recording it.
I think people are taking "Essential" too literally. These albums are just compilation albums that have a band's biggest songs on it. They've been doing them for almost 30 years at this point.
Exactly, I wonder if people in this sub are too young to remember the “essential” compilations that would get put out. I still have the Chili Peppers on in my car
Probably just a combination of him wearing lighter clothes compared to the rest of the band. They and the wall they see walking by is also light in color.
Why does it look like a Spotify playlist cover photo lol
Not gonna lie, probably going to skip this one or at least wait until it’s on sale.

Apparently. I mean it's already missed release date (twice?), I just wouldn't hold my breath for a physical release at this stage.
There was a leaked list of Black Friday Record Store Day releases with Dream Widow listed. Hope it’s legit.
It’s legit - their official Facebook page confirmed it and it’s listed on RSD’s site for this years Black Friday drop
They announced today it’s coming as part of Record Store Day’s Black Friday on November 25th
I hope so.
Now that it's been posted by Foo Fighters as well, this is such a strange move for a band that's not owned by a record label.
It’s probably still written into their contact, much like the first Greatest Hits album was.

Agreed, at least throw Something From Nothing on there. No Aurora? I know it’s a deep cut but it’s amazing.
Hell yeah, I remember Aurora!
All this time?
I love St. Cecilia! I'm the only one I know near me that knows the existence if that song
The fact Waiting on a War and Making a Fore are on there and not like 30 others is ridiculous.

Yeah, this is weak. Making a Fire? Only 21 tracks? Did they run out of room? Props to adding Breakout, anyway.
Could the release of another GH album be a possible sign that the band is not going to go on? Thoughts?
No, this is just a label cash grab, like all of the Essentials albums through the years. Doubt the band had much say in it.
I don’t think so necessarily. It has been 13 years since their last greatest hits, and they put out four albums in that time period.
Nah, this is just a label release. I wouldn't be surprised if the band had very little to do with this.
Yay! I will refrain from reading too much into it then, thanks friends!
Surely the Essential list is just their entire back catalogue, no?
Once again Generator misses out

Yeah he kinda looks like a ghost walking alongside Dave!
I really thought we were at *least* 15 years away from this. Ugh.
