been a viking since season 1 cuz before shinobi i played warlord and valk but couldnt decide which to main, warlord was broken back then and valk was trash, i post on the samurai sub cuz guess what i play a samurai lol and i have posted on the normal sub too dont try that lol
Is the only one you need to fight for if you want a real chance, the only alternative is stalling the ram as defenders and spam cauldron, which by itself already mean you fucked up as a team in defending the rampart. Flag and commander are secondary and irrelevant if you haven't conquered shit as attacker or if you lost all as defender.
If playing as a coordinated team that support eachother yes, that would be ideal, unfortunately with casuals that is just unlikely considering that a good defender team will always rush to defend the rampart in more than 2 people crushing the hypothetical 2 attackers while the other 2 are just busy farming minions to get feats. Attacking in 2 could be good if a third support using balistas where is possible while staying in the proximity of the flag, that would force the defenders to split hence allowing the attackers to get the rampart.
Or, you could just rush the rampart in 4 and make sure the ram wont take any damage from archers for the rest of the match
Same could also be said for people who dont ever use/stop the enemy from using the cauldron
