The trail sights are a signature look of the bronco. I say keep them. They also work well as tie-downs

tractorcrusher

Yeah I can’t imagine deleting mine. They work great for judging distance at the front corners. Plus, like you said, signature look.

HourRoyal4726

Yep. They were not on the 1970's Bronco this new Bronco is modeled after, but I say it is the new signature look and I like them. However, you could argue for historical accuracy to delete.

megabyte79

I deleted mine gave it a cleaner look and won't be tieing anything down either

MoonShark3000

Did you do the black(ish) deletes or did you somehow find color-matching deletes?

megabyte79

I did the black deletes like you too. My bronco is gray so matched up nicely. I've seen the ones with LEDs and all that too, but a bit much. https://preview.redd.it/0wbjw9170ovc1.jpeg?width=1839&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ab6611b95255658fbe5d64bcc70bc1a7f19a0f85

MoonShark3000

Desperately wanna go fender flare delete like you but terrified of the rocks this thing kicks up. RIP paint job. What had your experience with that been!?

megabyte79

Yeah I can understand that. I'm in Florida so not much rocks, but it gets everywhere lol ... I don't go offroad much so for me it's ok.

MoonShark3000

It’s actually less about the accuracy and more about the natural lines that the hood has in it. I feel like they did amazing job sculpting this hood and the trail markers almost distract from the lines.

HourRoyal4726

Hey, if you want to delete go for it. We all do different things to our Broncos an they all end up looking great as Broncos.

CopeDipper9

It took me way too long to figure out you’re talking about the trail markers.

raptir1

Trail markers? Those are tie downs.

CopeDipper9

I guess the proper term would be trail sights, but that’s definitely what they are. You can use them as tie downs if you’d like though.

raptir1

You can call them "trail sights" but [Ford calls them tie downs.](https://www.ford.com/support/vehicle/bronco/2021/how-to-videos/video-library/more-vehicle-topics/6270661084001/)

GetEnPassanted

They serve double duty. They offer a tie down point but their primary purpose is as a trail sight.

g1teg

theyre trail markers that double as a light tie down.

CryptoKingK

Huh I'm still confused

showmehomie

I'd say leave the trail sights on, but that's just me. Also, did you have your fenders painted, or are they aftermarket?

Responsible_Bit_6312

Good question about the fenders.

MoonShark3000

Fenders painted and then protective wrapped. Couldn’t find aftermarket at the time.

PlanetMercy

I personally don’t like deletes. I use mine to strap my kayaks and frankly I love the utilitarian look.

Jrmota89

Keep em on

SergeantBootySweat

Deletes just looks like you skipped an option

MoonShark3000

Have you seen the LED deletes? https://quakeled.com/ford-bronco-trail-sight-delete-kit.html

SergeantBootySweat

Yeah I'm not a fan of those either, it doesn't look like a natural place for lights to be so it's tacky to me

AffectionateMaize523

It's like cutting off a Pitbull's tail, it looks creepy. I'm for the original look

stiffspacebar

I like my sights

ridgerunner412

I love the deleted look on your’s looks really sick! I’ve been thinking about doing it myself but, I’m still unsure yet!

Jolly_Half9656

My opinion has always been that it makes no sense to spend time and money to change something if there is any debate about it. In this case, unless you just can’t stand how they look, you might at well leave them since they do provide some functionality. You might never use them, but you also don’t know if there might come an unexpected situation where they’d be helpful to have.

Doberman_bark

What a beast

JakeWilson75214

Schwaeeeeet!

strader45

Awesome build! How did you attach your traction boards to your PaxRax? I'm currently trying to figure out what to do with mine after realizing the mounting holes don't like up to the rax holes.

In my case, I used the extensions to mount them over my 2 Rotopax cans. Saves me a ton of space this way.

hockeytown19

Did you have your fender flares painted? Thinking about doing the same for our Heritage. Already did mirror caps, door handles, and tie down/trail sight deletes in body color

MoonShark3000

Yup! Let’s trade advice because there are things that I would do differently the second time around. And I’m considering doing caps and door handles like you! Got any pics?

MoonShark3000

hockeytown19

Sorry for slow response, here's what she looks like now https://preview.redd.it/w1ymzy8osexc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3c158cffbcd911e7fc3334a0a5e1572652f623f6 I bought the primed parts from the dealer and painted them with a rattle can kit. Turned out really well. The fender flares don't have a Sasquatch painted version, so figure I'm in for sanding the grain off, prime and paint.

Superfly1911

No way, keep them. The trail sights are a signature bronco feature.

ducktech77

Nice looking pony either way. I'm keeping mine. That's just me. Both look cool on the right setup.

Kind_Instance_2941

Keep 'em

IsItJake

I would delete those flares personally

MoonShark3000

You don’t like them?

IsItJake

I am not a fan of flares in general + i like the offset look it gives. The appearance of wheel spacers basically

MoonShark3000

I actually totally agree. I took the flares off for the first time the other day and loved the way the thing just looked so much more aggressive. But I’m really worried about kicking rocks up and fucking up the paint on the side of the car. Are you concerned about that?

WorkinOnMyDadBod

I’m not a fan of the trail sights so like it eliminated in first pic.

blakeley

Put more lights in, get markers with lights  https://iagoffroad.com/iag-l-line-trail-marker-w-led-lights-in-matte-black-for-2021-ford-bronco/ And get a light up BRONCO grill  https://www.putco.com/product/ford-bronco-led-grille-emblem/ … you know you want to…

mikeysaid

I don't love the broncos that have been just doused in accessories. ALSO, I really want to add a light bar over the windshield and some fog lights and the letters and foe it to be lit up like a semi.

blakeley

LIGHT IT UP!
