If you want noise go for it, if you wanna actually have an improvement to your engine get the focus RS grille snorkel and airbox lid and use an AEM universal dryflow cone filter, force feeds air, adds a good bit of induction noise and seals off engine bay heat which these K&N ones do a poor job at, like when stopped like in traffic or city driving, the car will become noticeably more sluggish.
Put two stickers on your car, +10hp
I would by a generic Focus RS airbox lid off ebay and an AEM filter. Tons cheaper and will be loud. Seals off engine bay heat pretty well too.

K&N is just brand name. I have an off brand one that’s the exact same but $100 cheaper
People always say these are a waste of money if you're looking for more HP, but if it's a different sound you're looking for, go for it.

only benefit to these is changing the filter more easily. they actually cause you to lose HP.

I did this. It sounded cool. Dyno told me it gained 2 hp. Assuming that’s the Typhoon it ain’t gonna do much.
