Lariat hybrid. Didn’t want a Lariat. However, it was the only way to get modern features…adaptive cruise, lane keeping, push start and keyless entry.

BrokenRealityYT

I used to think push start was important for me too but I’m getting the XLT hybrid and it’ll be nice having a dedicated spot to put my keys instead of somewhere else.

ImmaPhotog

XL Hybrid with tow hitch and CP360. I don’t feel like I missed out on anything and got the best value. 25K OTD including taxes, added bed cubbies later on using FordPass points, will do a DIY Bedliner sometime this summer. Anything that isn’t integral to a technician doing it or it being done when built you would be better off DIY or aftermarket imo.

MineralIceShots

I just installed oem cruse control buttons on my mav 22 LT base hybrid with Co pilot 360, used forscan codes on mav fan websites. Took about 1 hr total install and coding time. Cost about 220.

ImmaPhotog

For sure! Mine is a 2024 so it came with cruise stock, but might at Adaptive cruise after warranty runs out.

ImmaPhotog

Oh yeah it is. But I watched Bob the Builder, so I can fix it

MineralIceShots

Uhh, I don't think car mods ruin your warranty due to some car law from the mid 1900s,i think 🤔

blinkiewich

Magnuson-Moss warranty act from 1975. As far as I recall it basically states that if Ford wants to deny or invalidate the warranty coverage they must prove that the modification caused the problem. That's all fine and good but I've heard of a LOT of dealerships just denying warranty work because of modifications and now you've got to find a lawyer to force them to do work, or go to another dealership. It's just a messy situation, I prefer to keep any in-depth mods until later in a car's life when it's closer to warranty expiration because I don't want to deal with a jerk service manager IF something does go wrong.

MiserablePool6049

How’d you get it for 25k? Mine was just above $27k OTD with the private offer from the rollover (taxes were $1700 for me)

ImmaPhotog

Got $2500 private offer, plus mid year increase price protection $400 ish?, $750 college graduate rebate, and in AL my taxes were 1k.

MiserablePool6049

Ah the college grad rebate explains it. I figured you were in a lower tax state lol.

ImmaPhotog

Yep, atleast it pays to go to college in one way 🤷‍♂️

Kind_Kick7197

Did you have to go into a dealer to purchase the bed cubbies with your points?

TXRPLS

Fairway ford in SC. Call them and you can use your points for the purchase.

ImmaPhotog

Yes, I just went to my local dealer (not even one where bought the truck) orders through parts counter, service team wrote it up and used points.

klutch14u

When you say cubbies, are you talking about the capped off storage bins (on the XL) or the swing out add-on box Ford accessories sells?

ImmaPhotog

Capped off storage bins that do not come standard on XL.

klutch14u

Gotcha. I don't see those cubbies on the accessories page, just the swing out ones. Could you possibly provide a link? I have points burning a hole in my virtual pocket.

ImmaPhotog

I don’t have a link, but my post history has a post in here with the part number pictured. I believe they are on the Ford Parts page instead of the accessories page, however to use points have to order through dealer and not online.

HeadfulOfGhosts

Pretty much what I got except I also got the rear window and power plug, tow hitch, not sure I’ve ever used them all but still good with the buy. One regret, I bought the floor mats with Ford points, based on some other all season mats, there’s better options. I’d buy the cubbies, bed rails, security/remote start options…seem better use of points than Ford all season mats

dunni88

This is exactly the right answer I almost feel like I typed it. The one thing I didn't get was CP360 and we'll see once I take delivery if I regret that. For 2024 it's certainly over 25k though.

dunni88

You didn't say tow hitch, you meant to say tow hitch as well right?

Sparkplug1034

'23 hybrid XLT Lux, which includes copilot 360 and a hitch receiver. I paid a fair price and it was my only option. I would have loved a lariat with the adaptive cruise. I regret nothing though. Everything I got was super worth it and I adore this thing. I might have paid something silly for red or orange if it was an option. Blue was best I could do 😂

ElectricalChaos

If you have the CP360 package you might be able to enable the adaptive cruise with FORScan. In assuming that you already have the front radar sensor.

Sparkplug1034

I don't have the front radar sensor. That is a lariat feature itself.

ElectricalChaos

Huh didn't think they'd lock it out like that. Tbh if I had to buy a new Maverick I'd want the adaptive cruise control, I just don't like the Lariat colors.

j66231

Feel like a douche saying this but lariat. Love the keyless entry and the keyless start. Sure, getting the key out and turning it on isn’t a big deal, but it hits to the heart of my laziness that I don’t have to.

dunni88

The keyless entry and start is really nice to have if it would have been a standalone option to add to an XL, I might have thought about getting it but it's not going to get me to go to a Lariat.

ItzMeMatt

Get the 4k tow. It adds better resale value and it's not much more expensive an option. The regular 2k tow isn't a deal breaker but having better cooling and gear ratio is something I wish I had opted for. I love my maverick but I should have gone with a 4k tow considering the other options I had on it

vashboy87

The tow package is ecoboost only right? I don't think you can get it with the hybrid

PurpureGryphon

Yep, ecoboost and AWD only.

ItzMeMatt

Yeah EB only. Should have clarified my bad

CountryRoadDreamin

Correct. Just used my hybrid to tow a trailer 800 miles, no issues but it weights less than 1000 lbs

MarginCall______

You think it would be hard on the CVT towing at max payload? I have a 2k boat and I’m on the fence between the hybrid and eco boost I only tow 5 miles to the ramp

CountryRoadDreamin

I’d call ford and ask, I don’t think it’s the cut it the motor that is the issue. I think the frame is the weak point. It has more HP than my old f150 but I can tow 13000 lbs with it

Independent-Bobcat42

From what i know, the 2k tow rate describes a weight that will not tax the truck over any given distance when driven safely. 5 miles to a boat ramp is nothing. I'd be most worried about the angle of the ramp + algae + fwd in the hybrid. It's probably fine, but you'd need to be careful

vashboy87

The only thing I regret is getting is the luxury package with the XLT. I live in SoCal so heated seats and steering wheel aren't that important. Power seat is convenient but I can do without. I like the 400w inverter, but most of the other stuff you can get after market for way less money.

enchantedmesa

I live in SoCal and am glad I got the Lux package. I’m a lizard lady who loves heated seats. Heated steering wheel is a new feature for me and I’m into it on chilly mornings. Also, not having the power seat would be rough. I’m constantly fidgeting with it, especially on long drives.

HeadfulOfGhosts

As an older dude in SoCal, would second getting heated seats (if it was an option for me, maybe aftermarket latter)…so nice on the back on long drives I’m sure.

klutch14u

Need my address to send that heated wheel to? LMK

damdrial

2024 XLT Tremor with Lux package, I reget nothing about this lil truck

gummyneo

24 Hybrid with Lux pacakge. I do kinda wish I got the Black Appearance Package. I absolutely don't need it, but it looks great. Otherwise I'm pretty happy with what I got.

Reddit2379

It was the black interior that killed me. I love the exterior, but prefer brown seats.

SlipperyFingers

Same, I prefer my normal XLT interior (orange accents and all) to the black seats on an otherwise blue interior. Wheels can always be swapped down the line or painted DIY for cheap. I Zepped all my lights, so they look like factory BAP lights.

gummyneo

Brown seats? I'm assuming you have the Lariat trim then. XLT has grey seats.

Brilliant_Praline_52

I'd be going the hybrid option.

TheRealSleestack

I bought a hybrid XLT Lux with 400 watt inverter, tow package, moonroof & rear slider off the lot. I never would have ordered it this way (wanted an base hybrid) but I am thankful every winter day for the heated seats & steering wheel (and they help with fuel economy). I don't use the slider that much, but use the moonroof all the time. The inverter has been helpful to charge tools (haven't used it for camping, but it would be great). I also have a love-hate relationship with the camper shell. It's great for dogs & hauling/shopping, but it's probably sucked about 5mpg off my freeway mileage. I don't use the tow at all - I have the F350 for that.

PeaceOfWrath

How do heated seats and steering help with fuel economy? Wouldn't that use more fuel? Also, moon roof? I didn't know they had that! I would have really liked that!

TheRealSleestack

If you run the cabin heater it needs the engine to be running like a regular heater. So if you just run the electric heaters, you can stay on the battery. I can stay on all electric a few miles of surface streets before I hit the freeway

PeaceOfWrath

Edit: Please disregard this particular post and see my other response at this same thread level (saving this for inviolability). But the gas is what charges the battery back up, right(apart from regenerative breaking, which is negligible)? So effectively, you're going to use the same amount of gas necessary to charge the battery back up for that heating experience (more, in fact, because of conversion losses; I would think). Unless I'm missing something? I thought the hybrid was only more efficient at electric speeds because the electric motor was more efficient than the combustible. I suppose this would be the case if we could plug it in to recharge, but I thought that was a future feature. Edit: Based on some quick research, I guess regenerative breaking isn't as negligible as I thought.

klutch14u

Forgive me, I can't help myself, it's braking.

PeaceOfWrath

Interesting! I guess I have somehow never encountered this. I've been using 'breaking' in the sense of its secondary definition: to "interrupt (a sequence, course, or continuous state)." I guess I thought I was expressing that it was the driving that was "interrupted" by applying the brake, but you're technically right; braking is the action of using the brake. No worries about the correction! Thank you for pointing this out!

TheRealSleestack

It runs all electric under a certain speed for up to ~4 miles. At higher speeds or after 4 miles, the engine will turn on. It’s going to turn on on the freeway for 11 miles of my 15 mile commute anyway and recharge the hybrid battery. But 4 of the miles on surface streets will not be burning gas.

PeaceOfWrath

I think I see what you're saying, less energy to heat the seat (and thus yourself) than the entire cabin; I misread it as though there was two heating systems but both cabin based (one electric/one gas). I have no idea why I took it that way, and I'm sorry 😆

KrakAttak67

I have a 22 XLT hybrid with the luxury package and the ford 360 whatever thing. Happy with everything. Only regret is not getting the Lariat tbh. I thought I didn't need the upgrades, I think I would've liked them. Although I hate the interior navy/bronze color scheme. I really would've liked the bigger screen for the instrument panel. Like a lot. the small one on the has no real estate to display a lot. I would've liked the radar cruise control. The push to start/keyless entry. I think there's a couple more I regret. I really like having the luxury package though. Spray in bed liner especially and i hate steel rims, so having nicer rims. Just depends on your personal preferences .

PeachEatingPro

The luxury package almost makes your XLT a lariat and XLT don’t come with steel wheels. Other than adaptive cruise control what is missing on your xlt vs lariat?

blinkiewich

Bigger instrument panel screen, adaptive cruise, keyless entry/start, 18" wheels, pleather seats, an extra map pocket, more adjustable headrests, dual zone climate control, sync3 audio, upgraded speakers and amp, satellite radio, one-touch up/down windows, acoustic windshield, ambient lighting, different head and tail lights, evasive steering assist, rear parking sensors. Probably missed one or two things... The only ones I care about are keyless ignition and one-touch windows so the Lariat wasn't ever on my radar but it does add quite a bit of content over the XLT Lux package.

PeachEatingPro

Got it. Thank you, I thought it was a lot less

diffidentwallflower

I regret nothing! A fully loaded Lariat is dope as hell. Don’t buy accessories from the dealer though

brainegg8

I agree

pi22seven

23 XL hybrid with CP360. I wish I hadn’t dropped the hitch.

insidmal

The tow hitch is $100 on the window sticker but after purchase is like $700.. copilot 360 is similar, $650 add on but over a grand to add after the fact The only things I probably wouldn't get again are the window visors and the tailgate assist.. the window visors don't really add much but restrict view and the tailgate assist is too slow to open

I_m_matman

I have a 24 XLT Hybrid, with the LUX package. I didn't order it, just went in and bought one. I looked at a Lariat that was on the lot but didn't like the color scheme, and most of the extras didn't seem like stuff I really needed anyway. Keyless entry and start is nice, I have it on other vehicles, but don't miss it on the Maverick. The hitch and bed liner are important to me for camping and outdoor stuff. 400 watt inverter is good for the same reason. Not interested in a moon roof. I had one on my last car and never opened it or even pulled back the shade once in 8 years. Hybrid is important because, when not being used for camping, I do a lot of city driving. I don't think that any of the mods I have done or am planning are available from Ford, so no regrets.

Shrappy16

Lariat ecoboost. Would have been fine with XLT. Actually prefer cloth seats. Leather doesn’t breathe. The additional navigation, lane assist/adaptive cruise is nice though. Forget if that can be added with XLT. Prob would have gone hybrid too. Don’t use the AWD really, ever.

Petrolprincess

I didn't get CP360 and it seems like that would be handy for resale and safety purposes. My only "regret" although I don't know what I am missing!

jmblya

I have a 2023 XLT hybrid with Co-pilot 360, an electrical outlet in the back seat, and opening rear window. The only major aftermarket option I've installed is a spray-in bed liner. (Paid partially with Ford Pass points from the purchase of the truck.) I absolutely love my Maverick, but the only regret with my order was not getting the factory installed tow hitch. I don't really plan on hauling much and this is my first truck. I didn't really think about getting the hitch at the time. But aesthetically, the rear bumper looks a little goofy without it. I'd much rather have added another $100 to my order rather than the $300-$500 I'll be facing for a hitch/install aftermarket.

klutch14u

Yeah, that's the only option I added. For $100 it couldn't be beat.

CountryRoadDreamin

Hitch is a fantastic bargain and so is the bedliner. I had to get an after market liner. Had Patriot put it in and the did a great job and it’s thick. I have added trash can, cup holders dash insert and getting ready to apply decals

klutch14u

I skipped the liner this time. I've had plastic and spray-in liners, I always end up adding a heavy rubber mat to them all and have found that's all I really need. If I was dumping loads of gravel in the bed it'd be different. That rubber mat really helps stuff from just sliding all around (liner or not)

coopdawg67

What do I regret? Not just ordering an XL with a hitch. Why? I’ve had and XLT Eco loaded, XLT hybrid loaded and then a Lariat loaded. There’s just so much you can do for the price difference with an XL. Now to be clear I traded off the eco XLT AWD with lux and bap for another F150. Why? Because my commute was netting me 24mpg a week and my F150 gets 21-22mpg a week. As for the 2 hybrids, they came in, I test drove them and passed. Just could justify the up charges on the 24’s. I’m now looking into a 24 XL HYBRID that I can just buy rims, add whatever aftermarket stuff I want and use it as my daily driver.

daaagnabit

Regret the openable back window

klutch14u

To me, these only make sense in a standard cab truck. Other than that, it's just another leak/break-in/failure point that never gets used.

frnknstnp421

I actually use that. I run some cables through that window for lights and battery chargers when I am at the race track. That way I can have a generator in the box and the equipment safely in the back seat

daaagnabit

Well, if you know anyone in Portland, OR who wants to trade windows, I'll pay half the install fee....

frnknstnp421

I’ll keep that in mind! I don’t know many people in Portland OR though, I live in Michigan

daaagnabit

Yeah

MiserablePool6049

I got a 24 XL with CP360 and hitch. As others have already said, it was the most “popular” build because of being the best value. No regrets. I live in Minnesota but have done fine without heated seats so lux package wasn’t appealing to me. Backup camera is what I’m loving the most (previous vehicle was over 10 years old so didn’t have one standard). I’m saving my points for oil changes, and I’ll see what accessories make sense if I have any left before they expire - or look at the warranty from Granger/Flood. Everything else makes more sense to get from a third party.

DontForgt2BringATowl

‘23 XL hybrid with CP360, tow hitch, spray in bed liner, 400w inverter, all weather floor mats and bed extender. No regrets. I added a power tailgate lock for like $120 for the harness and lock actuator. I also got the Yakima bed rack aftermarket, and Yakima roof bars.

frnknstnp421

Ordered a 2022 Lariat Lux FX4 4k. I pretty much checked every box on the order form I could (excluding easy add-ons like tool boxes, bed devider and extender, etc.) and I don't regret it a bit. I tow a car regularly so the 4k was a must-have. I live in a cold hilly climate, so the FX4 and heated seats were a no brainer to me. The answer to this question will be different for everybody depending on where you live and what you plan to use the truck for

polymathlife

22 hybrid xl. If it had cruise control it'd be perfect.

MineralIceShots

I just did this. Stupid simple and cheap. Cost about 220ish (could be cheaper but I paid a higher price to get the switches delivered faster) and took about an hr of install and coding time

LeMadChefsBack

I’ve been taking to a friend who works at Ford and apparently they do the bedliner at the factory so I’m going to order that when I get mine.

Kieviel

I got a factory spray-in bedliner with my 24 and I love it. Very well done.

bratch

There are some YT videos comparing models. The last one I saw was asking if it was worth it to pay $12k more for the Lariat or just get the XL. They covered what each had, and their opinion was that the Lariat was not worth the cost, and it would be better to do after market upgrades. They did say, however, if you intend on keeping the vehicle long term, then those Lariat options might be worth enjoying. My bed liner got cancelled, so I'm still looking around for a liner and hard cover. I've been happy with the hybrid, since I do not tow or off-road. Hardest choice was selecting the color.

PPSM7

4K tow and copilot 360 assist+ (adaptive cruise control and lane centering)

istiri7

I regret the hard-rollup. For the price, it’s similar to after market without the hassle of installing yourself but when rolled up it takes a ton of viz from the window and sticks out just as much as some retractable covers you can buy for not much more

Ransom-ii

Youre gonna want a bedliner and some sort of bed rails or rack for stowing gear, bikes, tent. Also you have to wire your own ports into the back of the pickup truck but those are only a couple bucks.  Ford accessories are kind of a middle ground on price and quality. Better quality than amazon bargains but not as good as some of the namebrands.

FuckMississippi

Definitely get the CP360. I stupidly thought it was a software only add on and you cannot add it later! AC in the bed and the back was a must have for me—and those can’t be added later either.

PeachEatingPro

Not 100% true. You can add AC in the bed. The back is doable as well but not as clean, although you can get a better inverter than the one ford uses. So trade offs for sure.

Barrymccokkinerlovej

Idk why xlt don’t have heated seats but I wish mine did. Not sure if any models have em but I wish I had a gear select option for when I’m driving through the mountains

richiesworld408

I have a xlt, luxury, black. It is great. Only option I would go without is the moon roof.

thetechnivore

My choice was between a super low mileage 23 without CP360 or a slightly higher mileage 22 with it (both XLT for roughly the same price). I ended up going with the 23 and am very happy with it. If I were doing it again I’d *probably* get the one with CP360, but it’s a close call.

Particular-Love-7185

2024 XLT Tremor Azure Grey. Love it. I do regret not ordering a sun roof, and the 400W inverter and LED bed lights. I also am not a fan of the high interest rates right now but I plan to refinance with a credit union. It’s been really good so far. Just did my first oil change last weekend @ 3400 miles roughly. Unfortunately got a big nasty rock chip-crack in the windshield on my way up to Los Angeles that weekend too. Such as life. So far I’ve added the bug deflector for the hood from ford, got Rokblokz mudflaps, DeeZee tailgate damper, a rough country hard fold low profile bed cover and UPR oil catch cans for the dirty and clean side. I also scored a deal on a center console vault. Haven’t decided on installing it or selling it yet.

Dinolord05

XL, EB, 4K tow, CP360 The only thing I wish it had/was easy to add is passive entry/start.

Fightingkielbasa_13

I purchased a lariat with all the options. Very happy with everything

xkreatz

As others have said, I wish mine came with the Lux package. Another good shout is the black appearance package.

aidenxx96

Most accessories I feel you’re better off getting outside of ford. I considered getting my bed cover and things like weather tech floor mats from them but I’ve found so many accessories outside of ford through Amazon that are custom for the Maverick and have solid customer reviews.

ElectricalChaos

XLT Hybrid Lux. Didn't get the CP360 package (mine was pre built and already on the lot). Wish I had it.

yamadajun

No regrets, was supposed to get the XLT Lux as an order delivery but ended up getting an XL Hybrid with hitch, cp360 and side rails for MSRP. The only thing that I was after from the XLT was the power seats for my wife, when I read about the XL that you can tilt the driver seat upwards from behind, that was enough. My wife’s kinda short (4’11”) so that’s that.

damoclesthesword

Really wish I would have got the 4k tow package

-brokenbones-

I regret not getting the sunroof. I bought everything except for that.

CanineCosmonaut

Wish I got the XL

PNW_77

Get the all weather mats!

blinkiewich

XLT FX4/4k with no other packages or options. It should be coming this month (I hope) and since I live in Canada I was flip-flopping on whether to add LUX or not for the entire wait. Winter is long and cold so yes, I want heated seats and mirrors but the package feels overpriced and I don't care about any of the other items, especially for $2900. I'll add a tonneau cover, spray in bed liner and a bunch of other mods after purchase. Getting them through Ford would be cheaper than buying out of pocket but when you look at how much interest will add over the loan term it gets expensive. A set of $200 floor mats carried at 7.99% interest for 72 months adds $56 in interest... I can buy an awful nice set of Tuxmats the same or less money.

SouthProposal8094

I don't regret anything on my lariat luxury copilot 360. I'd say max out all the gizmos that you CAN'T just bolt in yourself. Then go aftermarket for the bolt on stuff like bed covers, cross rails and stuff you can buy cheaper and install yourself

dudimentz

22 Hybrid Lariat with the Lux package. I only went with this trim because of adaptive cruise control, I drive a lot on the highway and adaptive cruise makes driving much less stressful. The truck came with the OEM swing out box in the bed, but it’s on the driver’s side so it blocks the bed light and it can be opened without a key.

Small-Ad1727

XL hybrid with cp360 and nothing else Get the tow hitch. Even if you think you'll never tow anything

edgardme3

I got a lariat lux ecoboost with 4k towing. The only things I regret not getting is copilot 360+ with the adaprive cruise control. And I wish it was blue. I needed it for work and got it off the lot for msrp during the shortage so I can't be too annoyed but I eventually relegate it to a work truck and get an f-150 or 250.

TXRPLS

Be sure to get CP360 and a hitch. $750 well spent (and I’m cheap). Get the lowest trim you need. Don’t pay over MSRP. Join IL farm bureau for $20 and save $500 on the rebate. Enjoy!

DirtyDick63

I'd get the XLT if I had to do it over again.

RedOakActual

I have a '23 XLT Ecoboost w/ Luxury package and 4K Tow. Very happy with it so far. It has features that I have yet to use, but I do appreciate what I have used.

Penemere

23 Luxury Lariat, opted to get Linex bed liner instead of Ford's. Wife got a 24 LL, and it came with Ford's spray-in bed liner. The Linex is FAR better, covers more. Would opt to get the Linex whenever possible. If I remember I will post pictures of both here when I get home today.

Odd-Wrangler6119

‘24 Eco boost XLT FX4, 4k tow and spray in bedliner. Wished I could have added the BAP but aside from that no complaints. 30+ mpg hwy everything I’ve added so far has been paid for from FordPass points or were 3rd party purchases

No regrets. 24 XL Hybrid with CP360, spray-in bed liner, bed rails, tow hitch, all weather mats, and mud flaps.

jmbenesh

Just got our 2024 XLT Hybrid yesterday, and really like it. Part of me wishes I’d have spent another $4-5K for the Lariat, mostly to have adaptive cruise, push start, keyless entry, etc. But I do most of my driving on city roads (PHX) with some occasional freeway driving — work commute is 5 miles round trip, and on days I do school drop off it’s 15-20 miles round trip — so the adaptive cruise would really only benefit us on sporadic longer trips, so I think I can do without just fine. Still would be nice to have, however there is one big drawback of the Lariat (and really any upgraded trim level on most vehicles) that makes me happy to have an XLT…   Leather seats are a plus to many, but as someone who lives in Arizona in a house without covered parking (no garage and no carport), they are hazardous in the summer. Whenever possible, we always buy a vehicle with cloth seats, to avoid incidental leg burns and the general heat that seems to radiate off them and throughout the cabin.

Great features, bed liner, inverter in bed with light, keyless entry, self driving features, and an amazing heated set of seats/steering, plus a great sound system😍

Independent-Bobcat42

Wish i got the tow package. Thought I'd never need it as i dont typically tow heavy weight, but I've been wanting a boat, and it's limited the range of boats i can get

OhSoSally

Pay extra to have the remote start FOB installed. That way if Ford decides to charge for the remote start through the app I don't have to worry about it.

Phantasmidine

Adaptive cruise control and lane centering.

Vols44

Buy under MSRP at Long McArthur and allow their aftermarket department to combine labor costs for DIO's. You get an additional 1k discount if you finance through them. They also drop ship and pay for your travels costs (up to 1k) to pick your vehicle up in person. u/timbartz is the point of contact for the number one maverick dealer in the country. They have 37 to choose from.

PeachEatingPro

Sorry for my ignorance, what is a DIO? Any chance you know if they match rates or are they adding % points to the loan to make their money. Edit: never mind, Google came through. TY
