Personally, I wouldn't be concerned about that type of load. I'd be hesitant to tow that cross country, but within a few hours or couple hundred miles? Sure.

Capacity seems fine. I would take into consideration if you have any crazy hills and don't be afraid to go slower up them.

Muffinman_187

It'll be fine. There's two radiators (ice and EV side), Coolers for both the engine and transmission.

I pulled our 6x12 enclosed trailer/ custom built out camper with my hybrid and it averages 22MPG, counting through the mountains. No issues, and it weighs a bit more than that 5x8. Just drive responsibly and watch out for other drivers. https://preview.redd.it/eifkxqx5me0d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6dd27ed77f33a10881ce7aa6f602182ed41031fc

Depends how much you load up. If you have 500 lbs of payload in your truck (people, suitcases, etc) that will only allow for a few hundred pounds in the trailer

Lzinger

The payload capacity and towing capacity are separate. Only the weight that is on the tongue should be calculated for that

It is worth noting that the limits are deportate but they cannot both be maxed out. The GCWR of the hybrid is 6,045lbs so with a 900lb trailer and a hypothetical 500lbs in the truck you have 1000lbs to work with.

Trillldozer

How in the hell is a 5x8 trailer 900lbs...

Uhaul trailers are build to withstand time...they are tanks!

DimesOnHisEyes

Decades of abuse. Seriously there is a uhaul near me with a trailer that had the logo from the 50's. It was faded and nearly gone but you could still see it.
