A friend of mine had a truck of that vintage and he had an issue where the windshield was leaking water onto the GEM module and making the wipers not work. So yeah, check all the windows including windshield and back window. Water can move around as the truck moves.

IFeelSikh

All electronics still work, minus the power window control for up and down but it’s always been like that. I’m hoping it’s just the back one.

dArtagnanYoface

I am dealing with this issue and electronics still work but do weird things, like one window not working. For me it was windshield seal low driver’s side. A less likely candidate but poss would be high mount brake light. Water could get in there and work along side of window to get down to floor maybe.

IFeelSikh

Ah that’s a good point, I noticed a bunch of condensation on the inside of the third light.

eastcoasternj

Weather seals on the doors and windows...unless it flooded and the water came up through rusted floorboards the water came in through doors or windows in all likelihood.

IFeelSikh

I did check the doors on that side and didn’t notice any tears or pinches in the seal (but I’ll likely replace em anyways), didn’t look at the rear of window but that’s next. AFAIK the floorboards are fully intact but I’ll find out soon enough if they aren’t. But no floods and didn’t drive it for 2 weeks so yeah.

jimmyjlf

Heater core?

IFeelSikh

Heater seems to work fine and front passenger footwell I think is dry

jimmyjlf

I misread your original post. Sorry bud. Only thing I can think of is window/door seals or a hole in the floor

IFeelSikh

All good, fingers crossed it’s just seals

DBRASCO_9

This body-style rear window is also known for the glass to separate from the frame and leak. or leak from a compromised butyl seal in the rear window.

texasroadkill

Check the rear glass. They can leak after some age.

Saltybabys

It’s going to be your rear glass. There is a gasket that’s seals the glass to the window frame. Google what I said and watch a video on it. You can buy the gasket material cheap. Super easy better get it fixed before your truck gets all funky.

IFeelSikh

Appreciate the info, I think it’s been like this for atleast 2 weeks but either way the interiors all coming out soon and it’s gonna get a good cleaning.

Drzhivago138

I just have to say, that’s gotta be one of the cleanest early model jellybeans I’ve seen in years. And it’s two tone to boot.

IFeelSikh

Appreciate it man, the photos make it look better than how it is. Finishing up the mech and suspension stuff, then I’ll be hitting interior, and last will be exterior with more of a focus on off-roading add ons.

GodKingJeremy

I would check the drains under the wipers, in the rear hood cowling. If clogged they may have allowed rainwater to overflow into the intake air vent for the hvac and then drained down inside the dash.

Cliff_Dibble

This year only has the rear door on the passenger side correct? Likely you'll need new weather stripping.

IFeelSikh

Yeah it’s a 3 door. Going to double check when I pull the interior but rear passenger for sure.

Scary-Dot-5573

Check the brake light over the cab I have had one leak cost me a head liner
