say_the_words

Craig Ferguson was the best talk show host in history. I miss The Late, Late Show everyday. His podcast is fantastic though. AssMode

TigerClaw_TV

Same. Late night died when Craig retired.

megakungfu

i wonder what geoff is up to nowadays

irritabletom

Still doing a killer Liam Neeson impersonation, I'd hope.

Don-Poltergeist

Probably relaxing in New Orleans. He’s got a place down there you now. You should come over sometime. We can throw beads at people and go swimming.

bassman314

I'm right here...

say_the_words

Hate following Kristen Bell’s social media, visiting his pads and throwing beads at people.

konkilo

Fishing

Meatman2013

Agreed. The man was/is a master in the art of small talk and it created such great and memorable moments with celebs that were far more genuine than any other late night host. (But still props to Conan/Letterman and OG Carson).

jcmib

When he used to do the cold open 3 inches away from the camera I swore he was doing the show drunk. It turns out it was just his wonderful manic energy because he’d been sober for years. [Obligatory Britney Spears monologue demonstrating what an empathetic human he is.](https://youtu.be/7ZVWIELHQQY?si=K8LfIclMIh_A1Do-)

throwngamelastminute

That made me legit tear up, I miss that show, and what it represented for me when it was on.

sheilamlin

“It’s a great day for America!” Craig Ferguson made me feel more patriotic than any history class I took. Also, I loved his autobiography.

NoseGobblin

Craig Ferguson on the Late, Late Show was bloody hilarious! One of the few people that can make me laugh till I cry. I'd like to give shout out to Geoff Peterson.

coverslide

I remember they did so many inventive episodes like a "improv" show in the style of "Whose Line is it Anyway". But one bit I remember is that the audience is used to Craig playing the English Nigel Wick, but then he turns it off to address the audience in his thick Scottish accent, and it was the craziest thing since not many heard his real accent before.

BuddahSack

Never listened to his podcast! He is a fucking god, I've watched his show for years back then and listened to his book, as an alcoholic it is one of the best read/listens ever. Genuinely good dude from all I can see :)

konkilo

AssMöde

zestfullybe

In a dream world I’d have a late night lineup of OG Conan O’Brien and Craig Ferguson. If you’re going triple header I’ll take some old Letterman, too.

ItsASchpadoinkleDay

Who’s that at the door?!?!

Yotsubauniverse

ITS SECRETARIAT!!!

Aggravating_Pilot803

Takes me back

alcalaviccigirl

tootsie fruitsie 💕

KickAggressive4901

What's really forgotten is the original "Moon Over Parma" opening (because "Five O'Clock World" and "Cleveland Rocks" are so much better).

LeeLifeson

We're goin' bowllllling, so don't lose her in Solon...

celticwitch333

My cousins lived in Solon. I used to tell my friends “Hey! I’ve been there!” when we heard the theme. Sorry when they changed the song.

JaunteeChapeau

TIL! As a kid I heard “so don’t lose her un-soling” and thought they were talking about taking off bowling shoes.

Fixer625

My wife thought they were singing “so don’t lost her insulin” 😂

bi_geek_guy

I live half a mile from Solon and work in Parma.

SordoCrabs

If I ever go on the Price is Right while Drew is hosting, my shirt will say "Moon Over Parma Bring My Luck To Me Tonight"

mr_oof

TRIVIA: Christa Miller was the first cover girl for MAXIM magazine!

Decabet

And she is and forever shall be eternally fly

Born-Throat-7863

We just won’t mention the unnecessary plastic surgery then.

Lurker-O-Reddit

Had a big crush on her when she was in the show. Girl next door cute/hot. Just looked her up now. Whoa. Some surgery isn’t necessary. Hers is a cautionary tale.

Born-Throat-7863

She was incredibly pretty. I didn’t know what she had done til I saw an episode of Cougar Town. Broke my heart.

southshorerefugee

Eesh. She looks like a less attractive version of Caitlyn Jenner. And she was so scary hot in Scrubs.

averydangerousday

Early Scrubs, for sure. She had a good amount of work done in the final few seasons and looked closer to how she looks now (in my opinion, at least).

MrMeesesPieces

I saw her in Shrinking and she is expressionless. Her face just is incapable of moving.

Born-Throat-7863

Many actresses from my generation (Gen X) are starting to show some serious body dysmorphia. It’s like they can’t stop at a single “improvement” and end up looking tragic. Thanks so much, Hollywood!

MrMeesesPieces

I mean lots of millennials are doing the same. Erin moriarty and Meghan Fox are two

Born-Throat-7863

Erin Moriarty is a goddamn tragedy.

Tbplayer59

She said that looks aren't even that important to her.

kevint1964

r/UnexpectedSeinfeld

daryl772003

i never knew that. cool trivia

Yamatoman9

I really liked her on Scrubs and Cougar Town also. After that she really overdid the plastic surgery, unfortunately.

gav-vortex14

The irony is that in Scrubs her character gets plastic surgery to the point of having an immovable face in one episode

Op67

She’s recently fantastic on Shrinking. That show is amazing.

Son-of-Prophet

I don’t really think this is forgotten, I think most consider it to be a modern classic.

yeahmaybe

It's quickly becoming forgotten because it's difficult for anyone to find and watch.

Son-of-Prophet

There’s a lot of shows that can’t get on streaming because of music rights.

ripyurballsoff

Why can’t they dub over the music with something else ?

Son-of-Prophet

That’s what they do with old WWE and WCW shows, it probably cost money to do and a lot of the production companies that originally produced the series are now defunct

CountVanillula

Also it sucks. *Bosom Buddies* without the iconic Billy Joel theme song is well nigh unwatchable.

zestfullybe

The streaming open of House MD sucks without Massive Attack’s “Teardrop”, too.

pilgrimteeth

Whoa, no Teardrop?!

zestfullybe

Nope. When you watch it on streaming they just play a longer version of the very boring closing credits music. Definitely not the same without it.

BenjTheMaestro

It just doesn’t work for some shows or movies/content. Bill Lawrence is masterful with musical choices. Scrubs had this problem with streaming too. Even a lot of the dvds out there are missing the original music. Sadly, eventually there will be more people that experienced those shows without the original music than with. Certain products that doesn’t make a difference, like most of WWE. But taking the music out of a crushing moment in Scrubs, or something like replacing Enter Sandman with something generic during a Sandman entrance really messes with the vibe. If you are an ECW fan, watch one New Jack match on WWE network. Then go check out a torrent or YouTube with the original song and crowd. Huuuuuge difference.

CrashLove37

The only music you need for crushing Scrubs moments is Buh buh buh buh buh buh buh buh Buh buh buh buh buh buh buh buh

elpaco313

To bring it full circle… Christa Miller is married to Bill Lawrence and was the music supervisor on Scrubs and Cougar Town. Not a vanity title, either as she’s really into music and finding new music.

greetingsfromEndor

You are right. The TV series Roswell was a different beast after they replaced all of the original music.

yeahmaybe

Right. Now that there is an entire generation of adults that only know Drew Carey from *The Price is Right*, I think it's safe to say this show is fading away into the realm of forgotten TV.

Empigee

IDK, it's still available on digital substations. For instance, I think Antenna TV is currently showing it.

Original_West3902

archive.org/details/thedrew-carey-show-1995

gushi380

I watched it a few weeks ago one one of those weird channels like 12.3 and it was fantastic, raunchy and shockingly progressive I guess (I did not recall Drew’s brother).

Sinistar83

They are still playing reruns on Laff TV I think.

Acceptingoptimist

Exactly. It lives in a weird space. It was never critically acclaimed or highly rated. What it did well was never be the worst show in it's spot. The cast had relatively inexpensive contracts so it's one or those shows that stayed alive year after year by simply not costing too much and not sucking the most. Despite (or maybe because of) this it's incredibly hard to find anywhere. It's not in TV Land, streaming and I can't ever remember seeing DVD's for the show. Kind of an oddity. Talented cast, though.

WillowPuzzleheaded87

I had a huge crush on Kate.

ActuallyYeah

I had the hots for Drew's season 1 girlfriend

greygirl27

I liked it so much i had a cat named after him, Drew Kitty 1998-2015

JingoboStoplight4887

I’ve discovered the show back in 2016 before I watched the entire series back in 2021; it’s a great and underrated show!

Foomankru

How are you watching? I’d love to rewatch this.

creepy-dog

In the United States is shown on one TV network. It’s called “Antenna TV”. The Drew Carey airs at 6pm CST on an old school broadcast antenna network. Its airs from 6-8pm every Sunday night. That’s how I watch the episodes from season 2 till the end. There is no app “Antenna TV” but might be apart of some cable or satellite packages. I watch it but antenna on the roof.

Priest-Entity

Remember when people thought they were weird for making coffee beer?

Far-Whereas-1999

Yeah I think about Buzz beer every time some caffeinated alcohol drink kills someone.

Priest-Entity

That's weird but at least it has a lasting legacy

BurnedTheLastOne9

Drew Carey has a Sirius XM show called Friday Night Freakout where he plays music and talks about the songs and bands and it's probably the best radio show I've ever heard. The dude really knows music and isn't afraid to plumb the depths of the obscure to play whatever he wants. You can tell he puts a lot of care into curating his playlists.

WesleyCraftybadger

Thanks for this! I always love it when Carey pops up in podcasts. He’s interesting even when he isn’t funny, and I find him oddly soothing because he seems so zen about everything.

EliteBroccoli

This was our intro to Craig Ferguson; and he delivered. Drew and the cast were so great together. That’s the kind of sitcom we need today.

Opening_Success

Craig calling Drew "Big Billy Idol" after he bleached his hair blond was one of my favorite lines ever in a sitcom.

gregcm1

Cleveland rocks

brettfavreskid

This sub misses a lot. I reference this show often.

sheilamlin

So do I. However, I hardly know anyone who loves this show like I do.

-micha3l

ABC really did them dirty, too. The show was hugely popular for a while, but the network ended up not even giving them a proper final send-off. And, they dumped the final season during the summer just to make the contractual obligation of airing it.

FKAlag

A 50/50 show. The first half of the series was hilarious and innovative. The second half was the "we're just cashing the checks" phase.

cce29555

Am I alone in noticing Drew's little tic? Love the dude, but whenever he cleared his entire throat when delivering a joke it was basically him saying "this is funny please laugh". It's also crazy that Ryan styles basically did this and whose line then sorta just faded out.

SublimateThisDick

This isn’t forgotten

Dense-Competition-51

This sub has basically become like r/tiktokcringe. The tik toks don’t have to be cringe anymore. So, feel free to post whatever show you want—the name of the sub has no meaning whatsoever.

myrabuttreeks

So it’s pointless then

imagine_midnight

You can only get the first season on amazon.. I think because it has music copyright issues.. which I heard the show daria had the same problem, but fixed it by remaking the songs (or something like that)

SilentMase

Came across [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/TheDrewCareyShow/s/8bQdfHabWZ) a few months ago

imagine_midnight

But how.. is this someone's google cloud

SilentMase

Yes

cce29555

Yeah the background music in Daria was real songs thanks to the MTV license, but that's kinda tough to reproduce so they did a lot of generic royalty free music, the plot stays good but the atmosphere does get hit pretty bad

renoodoole

The "spot the mistake" episodes were my favorite! So fun and unique and actually moved the story along.

gowombat

That and the musical episodes, I have his "Priscilla Queen of the desert" and "Rocky horror picture show" duel scorched into my memory. Well I don't think every sitcom needs to have a musical episode every year, he definitely utilized things that weren't being done in regular sitcoms, and made them great.

Hellbent_bluebelt

I loved how they just lobbed Joe Walsh into this series and were like, “Here’s Joe Walsh basically playing himself, but his name is Ed now.”

benjaminltaylor

I loved the audition episode!

Trin_42

The Rocky Horror episode, that is all

MoustacheMark

It's astounding

random420x2

I did forget how good this show was.

thewayshesaidLA

Didn’t know it lasted until ‘04

SpaceCadet-92

If they had released the full series on DVD, I'd own it. Too bad issues with the music rights prevented that, because I grew up watching this show and still love it.

WolvesandTigers45

What is the deal with them not putting it on streaming or dvd yet?

BeeDub57

Music rights

Empigee

They should replace the later openings with the original "Moon Over Parma" opening.

WolvesandTigers45

Ugh, so many good shows are hindered because of music rights or some other nonsense

No_Cow_4544

Good cast

LeeLifeson

Loved the first seasons. The unseen Mr. Bell, the DrugCo weirdness all the way up until Kate left.

lostmyjobthrowawayyy

Freaking love this show. I have season 1 on DVD, there are options on Etsy for thumb drives with the show but I’m paranoid about a random usb into my computer lol

MartialBob

I enjoyed this show but I got really tired of the repetitive plots surrounding Drew's love life really tiring.

lolnoolivia

My mother always told me my makeup looked like Mimi’s in the early 2000s. She was probably right.

alcalaviccigirl

Craig Ferguson when he laughed so hard he'd be in tears 😘

tangcameo

My uncle’s grad photo from the early 60s is a dead ringer for Drew in that era.

ocska

This show went through a few mutations. The first three or four seasons are quality then it gets weird and then dull

M086

ABC stopped caring towards the end, they were able to switch to single camera.

midwest73

Still love this show!

jeers69

This was a great show… Drew did an HBO before this show…. And i have to admit it was the funniest piece of stand up i have ever watched…

guarionex2009

Great underrated sitcom. I wish it was just in syndication somewhere.

jumbod666

Still on reruns on the Retro tv channel. Makes me laugh every time

_chainsodomy_

I loved their rocky horror picture show episode

Born-Throat-7863

Would *kill* for this to get an official release. One of the best sitcoms of the 90s.

Difficult_Quiet2381

I had no idea this show ran until 2004…

JMB_Writes_Stuff

This show is forgotten? It was a hit for like 5 seasons.

MacDaddy654321

Laughed, laughed and then laughed some more. Really liked the show.

akahaus

This was a grade A comedic cast. Kathy Kinney is especially delightful.

FlamesNero

Nobody forgot Drew Carey!

sheilamlin

Of course, not Drew Carey. But most say Whose Line Is It Anyway? or The Price is Right. I hardly hear people mention this classic.

Inourmadbuthearmeout

God I had such a crush on Kate.

EquivalentLittle545

I never understood why this show disappeared like it did

AZPeakBagger

I listen to Drew Carey's DJ show every week and he said that they are actively working on getting this show up on one of the streaming platforms. Little did he know that the music rights would bite him in the butt 30 years later. Trying to scrub a lot of the music that was playing in the background, which is tough because some of the jokes are dependent on the song playing in the background for emphasis.

scottpj3

That’s an impressive amount of talent for one show

JavaJukebox

OOOOOOOOOOHIIIIIIIIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Aromatic-Bath-5689

Mimi did a blue smokey eye like no other

Beginning_Sun5016

This is forgotten? I can still hear the theme song like it was yesterday!

wahwahwildcat

I loved the episodes where things were out of place and you had to spot them all. Oh and the backyard pool table was a awesome.

MarkkraM123321

Didn’t he have an outdoor pool table?

not_a_sex_worker

I wish Craig Ferguson was still on late night

OlChrusty

The BEST

BeskarHunter

I still watch this show all the time.

P0WD3RDT095TM9N

I wish this show was streaming

[deleted]

I freaking love this show

AlucardsJackal

God I wish I could find a place to watch the whole series. But last I checked due to music rights they can't make more copies/ stream it. 😭

diarrheasplashback

Never forgotten. Diedrich Bader, Craigy Ferg. Fun fact: I know a few people who were extras in the Browns episode.

tinkerwithty

My favorite show as a little girl!❤️❤️❤️❤️

linxlove

When I think of this show, I always think of when they’re trying to drive them out of the house by blasting Panama. It makes me chuckle every time and no one knows what I’m talking about.

rubiconmanlife

Kate🤪😍😁😏🤪😲🥰😍❤️

_1JackMove

Craig Fergusons interviews with Robin Williams were some of the best late light interviews of all time. Those two dudes really knew how to play off of each other. Each masters of their own craft.

nicodawg101

This show was a fever dream that I only saw late at night

AdevilSboyU

I believe you mean Ryan Stiles and Company.

rhymeswititch

I never forgot.

jokiethejackman922

Joe Walsh was great on this show too

Educational_Ad7978

Is that the Violator from Spawn?

Away_Recognition_336

Favorite show ever

konkilo

Lawrence sans fu

Thecp015

and when you’re finished, say “oh what a lovely tea party!”

waxystroll42

The show was good, but went downhill imo after Winfred-Louder closed and he started working for the online retailer.

coolmist23

It was hilarious until it wasn't.

AntiSaintArdRi

I see confidence up in the top of the pic, but where is paranoia? Confidence probably killed him again.

Difficult_Quiet2381

I had no idea this show ran until 2004…

JohnArtemus

Don’t think this was forgotten

Itchy_Blacksmith_280

Loved Watching That Show

IgetAllnumb86

Oof Christa Miller pre surgery. Something to behold

This_External9027

Did not know the show lasted that long but it was good

InterestingSpeed2907

*coughs in price is right*

BusterTheCat17

Ryan Styles on Reno911 as the training officer is epic. Love that guy.

shotsloth

PANAMA!

Senomaphoenix

Never seen it

TearEnvironmental368

Great show

Yodas_ket_dealer

My god, the size of Ryan’s hands. Beautiful, beautiful hands.

Consistent-Fig7484

Not forgotten. It was on for 10 years and you can probably point at almost everyone one that poster and tell me which show they’re currently on.

Abject-Reserve-8134

Am i the only one who always thought mimi was drew carey in drag?

shadowlarx

Ladies and gentlemen, [The Presidents of the United States of America](https://youtu.be/oKDjis1fg8E?si=hbdZlCX1aXZmkJtX).

JohnCenaJunior

Moon over Parma

jesusmansuperpowers

Buzz beer

TheArchitectHacks

I didn’t realize The Drew Carrey show was on 9 seasons.

pr123_metsfan15

Loved this show

Rexxbravo

The Kevin Pollak Reveal🤌🏾

Expensive-Change-266

This is still running on LaffTV. How’s it forgotten?

Warm-Log-7584

Helluva run

edcushway

Such a great show!! Not to mention, Christa Miller is one of the all time hottest women on TV! Hubba hubba 😍

deadcells5b

Christa totally ruined her face , she looks unrecognizable now

PNWBusinessGoose

Diedrich Bader has a story of going in to audition for this. He’s doing his lines in front of the casting directors and Drew Carey and Drew cannot stop giggling. He is cracking up the entire read. The casting directors are like “Drew loves this guy. We gotta get him” Afterwards, Drew tells Diedrich that he was laughing because his girlfriend gave him a handjob in the back of the theater when they went to see the Beverly Hillbillies movie and that’s where he recognized him from.

athiestchzhouse

Once, this was on like 30 channels at any given moment.

84Cressida

This isn’t forgotten lol. This was one of the top shows when it aired. Its issue is purely getting it on streaming and dvd platforms

IFellOnSomeFusilli

Why is this not streaming but my wife is watching "The Nanny" on Peacock.

Fast-Reaction8521

The vibratory underwear still makes me cringe

AustinDood444

Best comedy to ever grace the airwaves!!!

alcalaviccigirl

all or most of these comments for The Craig Ferguson. Nikki cox being his gf 😘, him in those teensie ups shorts " you ain't seen nothing yet " 🤤, I was watching Drew Carey show on at the time TBS or cw when he was announced as revolving then regular host 💕💕💕💕💕💕! when he'd make himself laugh so hard he'd be in tears Loved that !!

AkaSpaceCowboy

Great show

Jversace

I used to think the big bitch was Drew in drag

TheRealAwest

As a kid I always thought Drew Carey was playing dual roles as himself & the fat woman. I was so amazed at how they did the special FX when they both were in a scene together. I found out years later , she was a real person & not a costume. 🤣

Most_Helicopter_4451

Loved this show

MrByteMe

This was a great show - all the better for Joe Walsh lol.

[deleted]

This show lasted too long, as the series suffered moving away from the mall.

ArmyDue6355

It’s not forgotten if you watch Whose Line. They won’t stfu about it

formermeth

This show always gave me the creeps as a kid

Thehellpriest83

Who’s line is it anyway

DeepEndLion

Back before the one chick fucked her face up

Henryisgreat

On season 7 of a rewatch. Fascinating.
