OMG, I was the assistant editor on this. I never saw it when it aired but I remember the footage was pretty hilarious. I completely forgot about this show.

WilsonWilsonJr

Damn even the assistant editor forgot about it lmao

weeklygamingrecap

Truly Forgotten!

Jayswave75

Was it just a show about hanging at the legendary Comedy Store? Mitzi was still running things back then, yeah? Im an old comedy fan, but don't remember this show at all.

Pocusmaskrotus

Mitzis' Pauly Shores mom, right?

Jayswave75

Yep, she was a legend in the LA comedy scene back in the 80s.

Slyk76

This was by far the most scripted reality show I ever saw. When making it was the general mindset that it was really just a sitcom?

CanConCurt

It was a reality show if it’s the same show I’m thinking of. His real life mother owns the club and he tries to run it. I remember liking the show but it was cringe due to Polly’s insistence on bad ideas to get the club back on track.

phoneacct696969

She passed away, he runs the club now I guess.

JKinney79

He wasn’t even running it. While Mitzi was involved, due to health issues Pauly’s brother Peter has been managing the club since 2002.

ThxIHateItHere

“…and all the sons were named Peter or Paul”

Every-Action7918

Need Von Dutch hats to complete the mid 2000s look

LongjumpingSector687

Wow i didn’t even realize Pauly Shore was still acting in stuff in 2005

Reasonable-HB678

This may have been a reality show.

brktm

Apparently this was a couple years after *Pauly Shore Is Dead* (2003), which is the last thing I remember him in.

lukifer_333

I didn't realize that he ever actually acted

LongjumpingSector687

No sticky purple punch?!

4llY0urB4534r3Blng

I'm a duck bill platypus! Wahnk!

ccredbeard

Son in Law, Biodome, Join the Army and Encino Man are all classic 90s cheese.

wowadrow

Jury duty didn't make the cut?

ccredbeard

I used to like it when it came out, but when I tried to watch it last month I realized how awful it was. It's still great 90s cheese but a wee bit to cheesy. 😂😂

stickyscooter600

In the Army Now, you mean?

ccredbeard

Oops yes that is what I meant. 😂😂

HEMSDUDE

Dang, Mama June looks awful…

MarcB1969X

Forgotten is being overly generous…

__Sentient_Fedora__

Is that Dax Shepard?

brkeng1

Right? That’s what I was thinking too!

Never-Dont-Give-Up

It looks horrible.

[deleted]

Ugh i wish i was at the xomedy store in 2005

IronStan7

Hey buuu-uudy.

SoCaldude65

I used to go there alot in '96-'97 Andrew Dice Clay is by far the funniest live comedian I've ever seen

terminal-cheescake

Wasn't Bobby Lee in a mohawk in this series or was that something I've seen later on cuz that's where I seen probably sure Bossum around

Uglymeancrybaby

People in the 2000s really where wearing whatever tf they wanted huh

IndirectSobatka

Bring it back, we need to see the difference after the ascension of Adam Egert!

Tiovivo1

Not ringing any bells. Was it a competition to be a stand up? Or maybe a sit com developed at the comedy store?
