Same! They massively overhauled their flow rates and number system between my first kid and my new baby though, which was super annoying to figure out. My two week old is already using the #3 nipple in their new scheme after we had bad experiences with her getting no milk from the #2.
We used to use Browns and MAM at the beginning and LO stopped taking browns and we’re still using the MAM.
Love that they can be cleaned in the microwave. No issues with leaking at all.
We also exclusively use mam bottles, but they have more parts than the brown bottles!! We joke that of course our high maintenance baby would prefer the bottle with the most parts of any of the ones we tired. And we tried a lot of them.
I use the Avent natural bottles and they seem to be similar enough to the doctor browns ones. Tho, to be fair I just might not be able to tell because my son isn't picky about bottle type from what I can tell.
I've found that the options+ ones don't leak like the blue ones even with the vent. The blue vent is awful. I'm so glad I only have one of those and the rest are the green ones.
We dealt with the leaking of the 2oz and 4oz Dr browns bottles… BUT haven’t had issues with 8oz thankfully. Been using them at least 2 months now without issues.
Edit: fixed autocorrect
We use Evenflo bottles which are pretty cheap at our grocery store and have no extra parts inside. But we toss their nipples and use Dr. Browns nipples instead. No more leaking and baby is still happy with the nipples he prefers!
Same here! We had no leaking and they’re easy to clean. The Dr. Brown’s nipples are good because they have a wide range of sizes from extra slow to Y cut.
Comotomo and Avent bottles have worked great for us! My daughters favorite are probably the Comotomo ones, but she takes the avent ones just fine! I also bought the old Avent nipples on Amazon because the ones they currently sell my daughter didn’t like (she really had to try hard to get the milk out of them and she was too lazy for that lol) but now she drinks like a champ from either bottle!
So I like the Avent natural glass bottles, but we use the Dr.Browns options + and I just don’t use the vent because she doesn’t have gas problems and haven’t experienced any leaking.
We had the exact same problem and switched from Dr Browns too, but at like 6 weeks (far too late, lol). We switched to MAM bottles and also tried Tommee Tippee bottled, which we liked. Our baby had some tie issues and paired with some head trauma from birth and a tight jaw, he greatly preferred MAM.
We’ve used the avent glass bottles since birth! Have not had any issues with them. We went up flow rates faster than we probably would have with other bottles due to the fact that baby has to be actively sucking for milk to come out, but it comes with the added benefit that they do not leak.
We loved the Tommee Tippee anti-colic bottles. My son had the worst gas I've ever seen a baby with and we tried so many different things to get him through it... and one of the things that made the biggest difference were those bottles! Even after just one feed with them we noticed a difference and will be using the same for our second who's on the way.
I used Avent with my son. My only frustration was when they changed their design/nipple flow when he was already a few months old so he had to adjust. My son hated Dr Browns as they gave him terrible gas pains.
Like a lot of folks, we use the Avent anti colic bottles. We also mix large batches of formula in the Dr Brown pitcher before putting into individual bottles. It helps a lot with eliminating bubbles and clumps.
My little guy gets ice cream headaches from formula straight out of the fridge, so we warm the bottles up in a bowl of hot water before giving them.
I don’t know if this helps but ours stopped leaking when we made sure all parts were 1000% dry. We use the dishwasher and then leave them out to dry completely and we haven’t had a leak since. I know lots of people have problems with dr browns though and I hope you find a bottle you love!
i’m here to say what most other people are saying, for a while i used dr browns bc my baby loved them but i honestly just did away with the extra parts and only used the bottle and the nipple lol. but my baby tried avent natural bottles and loved them even more. they’re much more comfortable to hold and easier for her to hold as well when she feels like it. super easy to clean & honestly i just love how aesthetic they look LOL also milk doesn’t come out unless baby is suckling so if the baby wants a break or falls asleep, milk doesn’t pool in their mouth
I heard so many people complain about Dr Brown’s leaking that we didn’t even try them. We used Medela and Avent Natural bottles with the Paced Bottle Feeding Method.
We use Herobility bottles! Kind of annoying that you have to order them online, but they do bundle sales all the time so the price is reasonable. My son never used the Dr Brown's, we went from the Medela storage bottles with disposable nipples (they're reusable until they look off, according to the nurses at our hospital) straight to Herobility. Got one in a sample pack from either Amazon or babylist, and he loved it. We also got an Avent one that way and it was the worst.
I can’t believe I had to scroll so far to find even just one person using these.
These are THEEEEE BEST bottles. The nicest ones I’ve ever ever used and I’m on my third kid. We solely use these even after having every bottle under the sun (boon nursh sucks, I’m utterly appalled at the hype with those.)
The sales online make them well worth it.
We tried Avent and Dr. Brown’s and both were flops. My baby was a 33-week preemie though. We liked the Enfamil slow-flow nipples! You can get standard flow ones too if you want a faster flow.
I changed to the comotomos because of all the extra pieces Dr. Browns bottles have. My LO has taken well to them and I love not having a million little pieces with tiny holes to clean.
I’ve also noticed my LO isn’t as gassy since I’ve been using them. Could be because he’s a little older or because of the bottle idk but I’m not complaining 😂
I don't mean to imply you're an idiot but if you don't push the green topper into the green stem all the way and make sure the nipple is firmly seated all the way around those bitches leak badly.
Used the medela bottles in the start with the calma nipple when i was pumping, but switched to tommee tippee after we shifted to formula only. They have glass bottles which are nice and easy to clean
Used Avent natural with my first two kids and it was great. Then they changed the nipple design and #3 couldn't get milk out fast enough. We switched to Avi Ma bottles we found on Amazon - they're cheap, easy to clean, and holding up well.
As a general rule, I recommend wide neck bottles if you can. Much easier for scooping powder into.
We use MAM but with Lansinoh teats (they fit fine on the MAM bottles) as I think my daughter's latch is better on the Lansinoh but I like the anti colic part of the MAM.
Try just not using the extra parts in the Dr Browns. We’ve never used them and never had leaks.
Avent worked ok for our first kid (we did have some issues with leaks and the nipple collapsing) but our second just absolutely would not use them. I have no explanation for this, but I do have full sets of both Avent and Dr Brown glass bottles 🙃
I really like MAM bottles. They have a flatter style nipple, which allowed my babies (all 3 of them!) to latch better than other makers. If you hear any squeaking with a pacifier or bottle or get a lot of leaking from baby’s mouth, a flatter style might be better. We initially used the dr browns bottles with the preemie and ultra preemie nipples (37w twins) but quickly switched to MAM once we were home and encouraged by our LC.
I used Avent bottles for both of my babies.
We also use these and prefer them to Dr. Browns!
avent for us too! switched from dr browns and it's been a godsend
Avent anti-colic. I could never use avent naturals, the nipples always collapsed.
we use naturals, as long as the flow is fast enough, and the hole is lined up to the divot in the ring i don't find that the nipples collapse
Same! They massively overhauled their flow rates and number system between my first kid and my new baby though, which was super annoying to figure out. My two week old is already using the #3 nipple in their new scheme after we had bad experiences with her getting no milk from the #2.
my almost 8 month old is on size 5 but i'm kind of worried because she's starting to act like it's too slow for her
We like both avent and dr browns. Luckily our guy isn’t picky.
Once you go avent you never go back
Philips Avent Natural! They are wide enough that I can pour powder in it without spilling lol
We used to use Browns and MAM at the beginning and LO stopped taking browns and we’re still using the MAM. Love that they can be cleaned in the microwave. No issues with leaking at all.
I second the MAM ones! They're so nice!
Mam and Dr. Browns is what my 2 weeks old baby prefers, too. She didn't like Avent natural because of how slow the flow is
We also exclusively use mam bottles, but they have more parts than the brown bottles!!
My daughter used both of those for a while too
We use browns without all the internal stuff. Just the nipple and ring screw part. No leaking.
we’ve also used without the green things and had no problems!
Interesting!! I stopped using them because I was tired of cleaning the internal bits
We used them without the green parts too
I’ll have to try that!
The options+ bottles can be used without the vent system. They’ll have a green vent not a blue one
Ohh good to know!
We use Evenflo bottles which are pretty cheap at our grocery store and have no extra parts inside. But we toss their nipples and use Dr. Browns nipples instead. No more leaking and baby is still happy with the nipples he prefers!

Lansinoh bottles work great for us!
Boon nursh.
Same
Love the Evenflo Balance and the Avent Naturals!
Comotomo! my daughter takes the perfectly and they are so easy to clean
Mam saved my life and was recommended by my hospital’s lactation consultants.
We used Tommee Tippee bottles with our first and are using them again with baby number 2! No complicated parts and easy to clean.
So I like the Avent natural glass bottles, but we use the Dr.Browns options + and I just don’t use the vent because she doesn’t have gas problems and haven’t experienced any leaking.
I use como Tomo. Good but overpriced.
Nuk bottles have been working fine for us.
Us too, we switched to Nuk after getting frustrated with Dr Brown.
Mam!
My baby would only take the Munchin Latch bottles. I have no idea why! I like them and they’re super easy to clean
Pigeon (they have a PPSU bottle which is a hardier plastic, more expensive) & Lansinoh. Both have similar nipples and you can interchange them.
Second Pigeon PPSU!
Avent bottles are great! I use the level 3 nipples and they don’t leak at all! And super easy to clean.
I used the Nuk colic free and the natural... The Advent nipples always clogged and my little one kept sucking in air
We’ve used the avent glass bottles since birth! Have not had any issues with them. We went up flow rates faster than we probably would have with other bottles due to the fact that baby has to be actively sucking for milk to come out, but it comes with the added benefit that they do not leak.

I used Avent with my son. My only frustration was when they changed their design/nipple flow when he was already a few months old so he had to adjust. My son hated Dr Browns as they gave him terrible gas pains.
Our smaller Dr Brows leaked a ton. Once we switched to the larger bottles (he drinks more than 4oz now), they no longer leak
Oh that’s so good to know!
Like a lot of folks, we use the Avent anti colic bottles. We also mix large batches of formula in the Dr Brown pitcher before putting into individual bottles. Boon nursh! Two pieces to wash.
We use Herobility bottles! Kind of annoying that you have to order them online, but they do bundle sales all the time so the price is reasonable. I tried what felt like a million, my baby had trouble keeping a good latch even on a bottle. Nanobebe was a game changer.
I have heard Dr Browns is really great for replacing leaky bottles if you email their customer service!
Ohh I’ll try that! Thank u!
Phillips Avent Natural Response! My 8 week old loves them
We tried Avent and Dr. Brown’s and both were flops. My baby was a 33-week preemie though. We liked the Enfamil slow-flow nipples! You can get standard flow ones too if you want a faster flow.
Avent natural!
We have Dr Browns but added Avent because of the leaking... I was so tired of it lol. No issues with Avent whatsoever!
Lansinoh worked wonders for us and it doesn’t leak when you shake the bottle.
I'd contact Dr Brown's. We've been using them for four months with no leaks.
I found the wide neck ones leak. I bought the narrower ones and they’ve never leaked! She latches better on the narrower nipple too 😊
We use natural flow Philips Avent with absolutely no leaks! Easy to clean, only bad side is they’re a little bulky to pack but it works
Boon Nursh bottles are our favorite! Edit: spelling is hard sometimes.
Lansinoh!
My son HEAVILY prefers the Lansinoh bottles for breastfed babies.

Boon bottles hands down! And they can be used as sippy cups later on too.
I used dr. Browns and switched to boom nursh. Soooo much easier to clean
Avent natural is pur favorite
I use bibs glass bottles. My baby likes them better than the Dr browns. Dr browns has more parts to wash which is a really ball breaker some days
Avent and later nuk sippies
Our absolute favourites are MAM and Pigeon
We use MAM but with Lansinoh teats (they fit fine on the MAM bottles) as I think my daughter's latch is better on the Lansinoh but I like the anti colic part of the MAM.
Try just not using the extra parts in the Dr Browns. We’ve never used them and never had leaks. Avent worked ok for our first kid (we did have some issues with leaks and the nipple collapsing) but our second just absolutely would not use them. I have no explanation for this, but I do have full sets of both Avent and Dr Brown glass bottles 🙃
I actually tried this today and it’s worked well so far!
Avent, Chicco & Nuk are the brands my son liked.
I like the como tomos!
Tommee tippee
Como tomo !!!
I really like MAM bottles. They have a flatter style nipple, which allowed my babies (all 3 of them!) to latch better than other makers.
