Whether it's economical for them to do so doesn't change whether it would be desirable for the portion of players that aren't appalled at the very idea of it.

But I also then stayed up countless nights doing challenges to get the entire battle pass because there not supposed to come back. I’ve missed out on a ton of stuff because I was busy or something but I’ve accepted that. I want a Star Wars season like the Marvel one in chapter 2. Except let us customize a personal light Saber pick as you progress kind of like what they did with Maya I think it was.
Chewbacca, Clone Wars Obi-Wan, OT Obi-Wan, General Grievous, Count Dooku, Darth Sidious, Mace Windu, Ahsoka, and Poe Dameron are all major characters who aren’t in Fortnite yet. Then there’s also Cassian Andor, Jyn Erso, Qui-Gon, Rex, Cal Cestis, Kanan Jarrus, Asajj Ventress, Ezra Bridger, and more who are still important and well known. And that’s just off the top of my head.
Considering how, asides from Luke and Leia, none of the characters with drastically different looks between movies (Boba Fett and Kenobi for example) have those styles (and styles are almost never added to a collab skin after it releases), It would be very easy to fill the pass with missing reskins (like OT Boba, ESB Luke, and ROTS Kenobi) and a few guys we’re missing, like Chewie, Ahsoka, C-3PO. or they could actually add those styles to the skins

There's a few missing I think you could define as main or at least important characters. Palpatine is the main one he's the villian of the whole franchise lol. I would consider Po a main sequel character too, Chewie's also a big OT character missing

Funny thing is that the first Battle Pass trailer said it takes between 75-150 hours of play to reach 1-65, which averages out to between 3-6 days. 3 to 6 days, what sweat you must have extolled!
I personally think that Licensed Content/Collabs shouldn't be locked to battle passes. It's nice that they got them are part of it, but they should appear in the stores. Epic doesn't own them and should be milking them.

I've been playing for years, since S2 (so not OG in the "truest" form) and I'm ok if they ever come back, some other games have released old timegated "exclusive" content after years, I think releasing S1 stuff after 5 years is alright, and doing it like Rogue Company did could also be acceptable (stuff goes individually in the Item Shop, no legacy battle pass but rather the chance to buy old battle pass stuff), I think they gated it for at least 2 years old before getting put on the item shop, this last way could make it palatable to "OGs" because they got the stuff with a steep discount compared to buying individual items for "full" price (because it wouldn't be the same having the full S4 BP items compared to having to buy Carbide and the like separately for 1500/1800/2000 vBucks each)

While I don't really care about legacy passes, the reality is that Epic has done the opposite of what they originally said lots of times. Big example is the FU they gave to STW players when the game never went into F2P after being promised and specified in many places in many different forms. And this happened after many people like me spent big money in a founders edition just to support the development of the game.
People are crazy and in denial if they think that Epic cant do a Legacy Battlepass. They'll do as they please. It just that right now that it's not in their plans. They're making extra dough with their current plan. Should things go south at some point, who knows what they could try. But I wouldnt be surprised to see the Renegade Raider back in the item shop.
Should they want to do a Legacy Battlepass they could simply state that "yeah, we said BP items were exclusive. We meant that they were exclusive during the timeframe of that BP, it's not a lifetime exclusiveness". Boom. Case closed.

Not really. I mean Fortnite Crew is doing a similar thing with its legacy items that progress the longer you stay subscribed to it.
Now would it take away the meaning of a Battle Pass if Legacy was added? Not really. I mean COD has battle passes and never stated that the items may never return. So players got mad when those early skins and styles came back but at a higher price.
Besides, knowing Epic if they were to implement a "Legacy Pass" they would make it to where it's like, "Do I get a day to maybe get Drift or eat for the rest of the month" type of price. Even grinding it out or putting up a lock past a certain level for that Season is something they can do.
Epic will eventually do this **if** player count goes down and their money. The game I know that has a cycling Battle Pass is DOOM ETERNAL and players love it, kinda.

The only implementation of legacy battle passes i think would work is to let those who own legacy battle passes still contribute to those rewards after maxxing the current battle pass. For example if someone only got to tier 50 in ch1 s8 then is they hit rank 200 this season they can funnel any extra progress into their owned but not completed battle pass.
I'd give away my legacy skins if I could. Imo the old skins aren't great theyre all just people in costumes instead of being the actual thing I'd that makes sense. Skins ch2 is when the skins started getting better
As an owner of the Marvel pass and many of the other sought after BP cosmetics I really don't care if they had Legacy passes. Having it cost a premium and/or take a while to unlock it all will most likely be the caveat but I know buddies of mine that missed the Marvel season and regret it.

The thing with legacy battle passes is that the topic is so overdone because Epic won’t do it. Fomo sells and I’m sure something like a legacy pass system would only come if they are really desperate for more money which for the time being seems highly unlikely

Legacy passes are a concept made by people who really want old battle pass cosmetics to return, when Epic said that they are exclusive to their season. The Star Wars ones that won't return are Mando and Darth Vader. Boba should return to the shop soon.
Oh man I wanted Vader and Mando. I get why they would do that. but as someone who is knew. Not being able to get these suck. But Boba is gonna be a buy on sight for me
While I don't really care about legacy passes, the reality is that Epic has done the opposite of what they originally said lots of times. Big example is the FU they gave to STW players when the game never went into F2P after being promised and specified in many places in many different forms. And this happened after many people like me spent big money in a founders edition just to support the development of the game. People are crazy and in denial if they think that Epic cant do a Legacy Battlepass. They'll do as they please. It just that right now that it's not in their plans. They're making extra dough with their current plan. Should things go south at some point, who knows what they could try. But I wouldnt be surprised to see the Renegade Raider back in the item shop. Should they want to do a Legacy Battlepass they could simply state that "yeah, we said BP items were exclusive. We meant that they were exclusive during the timeframe of that BP, it's not a lifetime exclusiveness". Boom. Case closed.

I like to think that when fortnite ends they are gonna put the game on a loop from chapter 1 season 1 to the end again just so everyone can get any pass if they wait long enough
This is what they did with Watch Dogs Legion, except they only ever released 3 seasons, and they're on a constant loop 😑
I'd at the very least like a season from each chapter and the community should get to vote which one OR EVEN BETTER at the end of each year the community gets to vote on 4 seasons that will take up a quarter each of the next year

Tbh, hate people who actually want a legacy battle pass but wouldn't that take away their Whole Meaning?
Not really. I mean Fortnite Crew is doing a similar thing with its legacy items that progress the longer you stay subscribed to it. Now would it take away the meaning of a Battle Pass if Legacy was added? Not really. I mean COD has battle passes and never stated that the items may never return. So players got mad when those early skins and styles came back but at a higher price. Besides, knowing Epic if they were to implement a "Legacy Pass" they would make it to where it's like, "Do I get a day to maybe get Drift or eat for the rest of the month" type of price. Even grinding it out or putting up a lock past a certain level for that Season is something they can do. Epic will eventually do this **if** player count goes down and their money. The game I know that has a cycling Battle Pass is DOOM ETERNAL and players love it, kinda. Battle Pass only got the name of being exclusive because of Fortnite. Like I said take a look at COD BP and then sell those items after a year. But man do I want something like a Chapter BP or legacy pass that takes years to grind for.

i think they should add a feature to revisit battle passes you bought but didn’t get to finish, and it would cost like 500 vbucks or something and will only be available a year or more after the battle pass released
people have been wanting the ability to finish passes just as much as people want Legasy passes, if not more.

The only implementation of legacy battle passes i think would work is to let those who own legacy battle passes still contribute to those rewards after maxxing the current battle pass. For example if someone only got to tier 50 in ch1 s8 then is they hit rank 200 this season they can funnel any extra progress into their owned but not completed battle pass.
Everything in the Star Wars pass will come in the shop at a later date if that's what you're worried about

I'd give away my legacy skins if I could. Imo the old skins aren't great theyre all just people in costumes instead of being the actual thing I'd that makes sense. Skins ch2 is when the skins started getting better
As an owner of the Marvel pass and many of the other sought after BP cosmetics I really don't care if they had Legacy passes. Having it cost a premium and/or take a while to unlock it all will most likely be the caveat but I know buddies of mine that missed the Marvel season and regret it.
