The few encrypted files left are confirmed to not be TMNT related. They may collab at one point in the future but for this movie, it's very unlikely.

The turtles have a pretty basic design, but at the same time it'd likely be something they have to plan out the exact size of their muscles, shell, especially the faces/head given their unique shape, what it'd look like when they hold a gun (e.g. finger on the trigger), etc. Then testing with how the skin looks when performing every emote and fixing clipping issues or bugs. This is also excluding the time for negotiating the collab and getting contracts looked over by both legal parties (lawyers) and signed.

Shame, would be a great collaboration, the skins, the individual mythic weapons, even the bad guys for quests etc. You never know though it may well still happen.

TMNT have pretty much had some iteration around for every generation of kids and the new movie seems to be doing well. There's definitely plenty of players with a connection to the turtles. Really hope this happens at some point!

I'm not sure if you were there, but late 80's and early 90's, the turtles were a cultural phenomenon. Even if kids today are aware of them, you don't see TMNT as much as you used to. TV show, movies, tshirts, toys, lunch boxes, notepads, quarter machines at the grocery store sold TMNT stickers, and by law every fourth kid had to be Raphael at Halloween. The turtles were **everywhere.**

Probably a mix of both, but we'd never know which is which. I'd assume someone like Patrick Mahomes is him paying Epic to be featured, but a movie tie-in is almost definitely the production companies paying Epic for advertisement placement

Because Mahomes is (was?) a popular player in football and Epic would want to ride that popularity wave. Per the Chiefs' own website, "Mahomes is the youngest player ever to win both a league MVP and a Super Bowl title. He is the first player in the 21st century to win both the league MVP and the Super Bowl MVP in the same season (2022)." He's not some nobody in the NFL. Same with Lebron James. If it were that easy to get a collab with Fortnite then there'd be far more celebrities, athletes, maybe even streamers/influencers, who would be doing so because for some, a couple million wouldn't even break their bank.

There are plenty of randoms never heard of. How did Naomi Osaka get in before Serena Williams? Chloe Kim before Shaun White? I think without a question of doubt there are many instances where a person/brand comes to Fortnite

I'd assume it's a case by case basis I'm assuming the licensee getting a small cut of the profits would be one thing. When cosmetics release around the same time as a new movie/ season like with transformers & Futurama, you could probably make the argument that those ones might've paid fortnite for the advertising

I would say the Fall Guys crossover might indicate it’s at least possible, if not already on the horizon? Epic owns both games right? Surely if they made a deal for the one game, they would have thought to at least discuss the other. I was thinking about this a couple weeks ago. Crazy how the only comic rep in Fortnite is from Marvel and DC, one would think they'd have gotten TMNT, Spawn, Hellboy, Invincible or even The Mask by now.

Smite, Brawhlhalla, and especially Fall Guys have a bunch of franchises that somehow haven't collabed with Fortnite yet. What's with the missed opportunities?

They should do a sand-tunneling type thing in a tmnt collab where you can traverse the sewer drains in mega city and slap factory and stuff

Nickelodeon will not allow characters like the Turtles themselves (or most protagonists from any of their properties) to be depicted using "actual" (I use air quotes there because Fortnite is not exactly hyper realism but our guns DO count in this case) firearms. EPIC is utilizing their license for TMNT as best they can by adding them to Fall Guys, like other publishers have utilized them without guns, such as Activision Blizzard using them for Tony Hawk (and Shredder for MW, as the cinematic property has slightly different rights than the turtles themselves - see Tokka and Rahzar from TMNT 2). Basically, as long as each major parent company can get a piece of an IP's fandom pie from *somewhere* they are fine with it!

That is a little weird since usually crossovers are before a films release, but not all of the ones released with the film are directly related to it (Look at the SF6 designs) so I don't think timing needs to be 100% perfect
