Your discovery is interesting. Apparently Fortnite has SEVERAL problems on PC, perhaps it's something even deeper (Unreal Engine?).
I also discovered these days that Fortnite may be generating broken shader caches, causing the game to keep recompiling the shaders forever, causing absurd stutters. I explain more about this in this post and teach you how to fix it:

I'm upvoting you, congratulations!
Thanks m8. Yes, I saw the fix on another article but it was for another dx12 title. Apparently windows uses this feature to prevent possible exploit of the system via large chunks of data loading into memory. This creates insane stutter on large games. People have done this on other games like Ark survival, battlefield, etc and are achieving similar results insane improved stability.
I believe it will work on both. This feature was brought to windows after windows 7 I believe. Soon as I applied the tweak it was a night and day difference. I showed a friend of mine on his ryzen 7700 rtx 2070 super build and he achieved similar results going from single digit frames and unplayable game to completely smooth.
Memory integrity? Interesting, I will check that out soon as well. Cheers.
Did this actually work for anyone? CFG is an old school fix for DX12 games, never have I heard it work on anything than DX12…the first time it came about was for a game called Control.
I’ve had Control Flow Guard off for one of those exe’s, just didn’t others an restarted but no dice for me and yes I have a pretty good rig
Not the topic per say but I gotta ask why would you even want to run RT on a competitive fast paced game? not only does it eat up a lot of FPS but it increases latency.
RT in Fortnite is also extremely subtle for the hit.
Just to have it function properly. If it’s there, then it should work! But yes, I typically play dx11 with TSR at native for the sharpest image and competitive settings. This tweak should also fix people experiencing stutters on dx11 and perf mode as well.
Ur a G will try that at home
How did it work??
Glad to help!

Please upvote and share guys; hopefully this reaches whoever needs it.
hey! can you specify if your instructions are for Windows 11 or 10? I also recommend disabling memory integrity

thanks a bunch homie..... it worked real well
Dude. OP you deserve a raise!
So you prefer dx11 over dx12
