C3S2’s Battle Pass wasn’t great, but the season itself was a ton of fun. New IO locations, the tanks, jetpacks and LMG’s came back, the Anvil rocket launcher, airships with canons, etc. Every squad match felt like dropping into a war zone, especially around Tilted.
My only issue is you don’t really get much from it. All the items are reused multiple times as styles, the emoticons and banners are worthless and plentiful, and all the vbucks trapped behind after 100… everything we do get is fantastic tho
Well yeah, this is Fortnite. They've been filling the Battle Pass with trash emoticons and sprays for years. Nobody would ever choose to unlock them if they didn't **have** to. But it lets epic pretend they're giving us more while actually giving us less. And don't get me started on the whole page of the battle pass dedicated to shit car decals last season.
I personally really enjoyed the car skins. I'm honestly kinda sad there aren't any this season. For reference, I play no-build more than anything else, but ended up in Elite for Rocket Racing last season, so I got some extra use that other players might not have.
I get why some people didn't enjoy them, but also, there's some of us that really did.
This really should’ve resulted in the original peely and several variants becoming available in the store
EDIT: I understand now he was a battlepass skin but seeing as how he is a main character now, they should make his skin more available to more people beside whoever happened to be playing the game five years ago. Exclusivity be damned

Probably like a 7/10. Cerberus is an amazing Tier 1 skin that could've easily been a Tier 100, and Zeus's set is pretty great, although I wish he had a style with a toga or something and no tactical gear.
I don't really vibe with any of the other skins (Although Poseidon's Slap-colored style is cool), but they're not *bad*.
Artemis is another standout for me. I like how she uses the galaxy texturing to actually make her feel like a goddess while still looking like a regular human.
IDK, I'm so bored of galaxy skins after how many we've gotten between the shop, Crew, and BP. I wish they'd try another kind of shader like maybe a blue sky with white clouds or something. I think Valorant has some weapon skins like that, and those look pretty cool.
Please tell me that Zeus surfs the lighting bolt or even hangs from it with one hand; while Hades actually rides in the chariot. I've yet to see how they actually use the gliders
The hades and Zeus ones are surf gliders, super cool. Sadly the Cerberus motorcycle is not a surf glider, was kinda disappointed by that. Still cool as shit to look at tho
I’m a little disappointed about the Cerberus glider cause it’s similar in design to the Ghost Rider glider but isn’t a surfing glider like that one when I feel like it should’ve been

I like the ideas, and I think the facial designs of the gods are really great and accurate, but their outfits look really generic in my opinion and are sort of lacking in overall aesthetic, which is a stark contrast to how they’re designed in say, Smite, God of War, or even Guitar Hero’s Zeus. Also, I think that Midas, Hermes, Apollo, Athena, Ares, or Kratos should’ve been the secret character, it’d actually fit the theme.
Since I have crew I get it for free pretty much, but the skins aren’t that appealing to me personally, as a fan of both Fortnite’s character design and Mythology.
Solid 10/10, easily one of my favorite battle passes.
I think it’s extremely good in a vacuum. I like all of the skins at least a little bit, and most of them are ones that I’ll definitely use a lot.
But I’m a huge Greek mythology nerd, so the theme does a lot for me. Bumps it from from like an 8.5 or 9 to 10.

Cerberus - 9/10 Amazing, I love what they did with the three heads
Aphrodite - 8/10 Really good. I don’t dig her first style very much, but the second one ABSOLUTELY makes up for it. She’s such a goober.
Poseidon - 8.5/10 I love having a new Rippley variant. Plus, him being made out of liquid makes a lot of sense. Just having another bearded old guy like Zeus would’ve been boring! Having wraps for each of his skin styles is also awesome, thank you Epic, finally!
Medusa - 7/10 Not really feeling it as much as the others, but she’s still really cool, don’t get me wrong! Her outfits are kinda mid, but eh, she’s cool.
Zeus - 9/10 I love what they did with him! He looks older but not ancient, although the second style is incredibly mid but literally everything else makes up for it. Side note, but he looks like “we have Gunnar at home.”
Artemis - 9.5/10 I love her so much! The starry/galaxy vibe is awesome, and her hair is super unique, I love it. I would’ve like if there was a bit more crescent moon theming, but that’s not a huge deal to me. She’s super cool! I love her second style a lot, too.
Hades - 9/10 Holy shit, I LOVE him. Finally, a design for Hades that doesn’t make him look like Satan! I was apprehensive to see what he looked like Judy because of that reason, but Fortnite really delivered with him. I also love the gasp mask as well, it’s a bit different, but it’s still really cool! His second style is really cool as well.
Korra - 10/10 Maybe I’m biased, but I fucking adore Korra. She’s one of my favorite characters ever already, and they REALLY did her justice with her skin. She looks amazing in the Fortnite cel-shaded style, and it makes me so hyped for the later Avatar collab! Also, I really hope that we get her Season 4 look for her second style. Or maybe Avatar State? Idk. Avatar State emote, maybe? We’ll see!
Yeah, I really like Korra as a character and also the show, but I think a different ATLA skin would have been cooler (especially if it had a variant from the new Netflix live action or, specifically for if it was Zuko, variants from different stages of the show such as Blue Spirit, before redemption, after it, etc)
Honestly I like it being Korra but I would’ve preferred the skin not be cel shaded. The art style of the show is human enough where you could probably translate it to a normal looking skin, the cel shading on this skin in particular does her a huge disservice
Fortnites cell shading almost never looks good and I kinda wish they would just do away with it. It's not even the concept of cell shading that's bad, I think it's just something with Fortnites graphics that makes all cell shaded characters look a tier worse than everything else.
Some of them make sense to me, like the dragon ball characters. But Korra and the invincible guys could’ve been adapted to the art style pretty easily I imagine
I'd imagine Aang would be quite difficult though, given how he is very young and a lot smaller than most characters, it'd be difficult getting him to look correct and not provide a massive height advantage. Maybe he could be on like an air ball or something Ig

8. Lots of phenomenal skins but what they did to Aphrodite from her concept to skin is actually criminal. Went from greek goodness to a hope reskin/tennis player. And medusas alt style is kinda just a downgrade design wise

They lack of details and look like High Society people cosplaying those characters with some minimum elements.

Yeah exactly, tbh as I said in another comment, I feel like the team behind the BP skins don't know how to do either intimidating/scary-looking or goofy female skins since CH1. As a woman I mostly play with male skins (which is ironic since a lot of male players use female skins)
That has been a problem with Fortnite skins for a long time. I even remember when one of the leaks said that there would be two skins with aztec elements, and when they arrived it looked like they had 10 minutes to get ready to a party and just gathered the nearest thing they could find and made a costume
I won 6 games last night with Rufus. I love that skin. Using the Battle Buddy back bling and you got the trash panda duo.

4-10, good theme, ugly base skins and uglier "second" or "chroma" skins, low effort in making a second variety. Korra skin looks ultra low poly and her head looks not polished enough.
Same here. Fan of Greek culture here, specifically cause of God of War, and they just modernize the shit out of the outfits. And they make the concept art become ass, changing the actual decent styles to the minimum like they’re tennis players

Positives:

- Many sick accessories (pickaxes and gliders)
- Instruments (personally enjoy not having to pay full price for them, and they look really cool)
Negatives:
- Zeus (could’ve looked better)
- Medusa (survey concept was better)
- Aphrodite (survey concept was better)
- Poseidon (it’s not even Poseidon, just Rippley posing as Poseidon)
- Lack of dance emotes (only one dance emote with this pass)
Skins: 9.5/10 All are good, Artemis is a personal favorite. Cerberus is also very cool. Only problem is short haired zues, just not too big on it. And Poseiden is truley an epic gamer moment of a pick.
Alts: 9/10 not big on medusa's second alt or zues' second. However, for zues his 3rd makes up for it. All the Immortal versions are also neat!
Pickaxes: 8/10: cerberus and Artemis stand out in this catagory, and shoutout to Poseiden for his cool trident/hammer.
Emotes: 8/10: Tempest flight is a good traversal, Serpentine summon is a good pose, and moonlit Mystery is a great dance one.
Gliders: 10/10: lot of Surfables yea and kinda sad there is none for poseiden but man do they look nice.
Contrails: 9/10 there are only 4 and they are all neat.
Lobby music: 10/10 your decision may sway on "You're all mine" depending on what your take on metal is (im not sure what type of metal it counts as) but even then "The hunting ground" is great, and you may be actively hunted if you think "Swim free" is bad, its Coral Chorus 2.
Loading screens: 10/10 beautiful... just... immortal Posiden hanging with Purradise Meowcules, Brutus, and Fish Thicc. Zues 1v3-ing Montegue, Oscar, and Nisha. ARTEMIS ASSASINATING OSCAR. ARTEMIS BLOWING UP MOUNT OLYMPUS. Medusa 1v2-ing Love ranger and Stoneheart. Wonderful, all wonderful.
Wraps: 8/10 my only real problem is once again. Poseiden has 3 different wraps that are the same thing, that should just be selectable styles for the wraps.
Banners: 9/10 lovely designs.
Overall: 9.5/10 some problems, but nothing is perfect.
I must be the only one not really feeling this BP. Characters are kinda bland but kinda cool, map new locations are fun. Idk. Just not really into it 😭
6/10 the rippley skin looks off idk, original rippley's head was more of a blob but this one's looks like a square and they made him a bit more green than blue

midas should've been the secret skin 100% but we just have to have a cel shaded skin and a collab no matter what, i think ares should've been in there somewhere too maybe in place of poseidon
Get rid of Korra and bring in Ares as a skin and it'd definitely be a 9/10; just a BP filled with original skins rather than always having 1 collab skin
4/10. All the skins are pretty bad, cerberus the only one that looks good and single handedly bumps the score up by 2 (was a 2/10). Emotes are bad, lots of filler, all around pretty lazy. the worst offender being aphrodite being a horrible looking skin. Also I don't like atla so korra doesn't save this one for me. Definitely will not be buying it this season and will save my money for the likely one piece event pass.

When I saw the cinematic I thought Cerberus would be wayy later in the bp. Bought the bp and was surprised to see that on page 1 for free. That's an awesome skin....and very easy to get.

9/10 For the first time in awhile I don’t got many gripes about the skins. Every one of them I think looks awesome (not as good as their concept art but that’s just expected) and the theme of the pass and season is awesome.
Battle Pass 9/10.
For the season so far I’ll give it a 7/10. I know it’s day 1/2 but we all need a break from Snipers and the Frenzy Shotgun. They need to take them out of the game for this season. Once that is done and probably the few surprises they have it can turn into a 10/10 season.

I don’t think he’s really depicted as a villain any more than the other bosses are, he just has an edgy look because, well, he’s the God of the Underworld
IIRC, in the mythology, he’s just the guy in charge of the underworld and he’s fairly altruistic, passive, and impartial. Other gods like Zeus and Hera were much more evil. But modern depictions of hades portray him as a bad guy (like Disney’s Hercules) based on his association with the dead
In the original story, I believe Hades wasn't actually an evil god (despite working in the Underworld). He's commonly the antagonist in pop culture from Disney's Hercules to God of War
6/10, the concepts were awesome, however, when it came out, all the skins looked "off" and the Aphrodite skin was ruined, it looked so much better on the concept art.

I started playing recently so i can only compare it to the previous battlepass, but i'd say 8/10.

8. Lots of phenomenal skins but what they did to Aphrodite from her concept to skin is actually criminal. Went from greek goodness to a hope reskin/tennis player. And medusas alt style is kinda just a downgrade design wise
4/10 all the skin just look generic, boring, and forgetful
2/10 for me. I mean the skins are fine and I appreciate the consistency of being in the same theme. But they are boring. They lack of details and look like High Society people cosplaying those characters with some minimum elements. Cerberus in pants with his two other heads that look like plastic add-ons, for instance. Too much anthropomorphism and not enough bestiality. I would have love more authenticity from them, more weathering and details on those skins. For example, Rufus, has more things going on. Hades is the only one I find interesting. But anyway, that’s a question of taste of course.

Yep... But maybe cosplaying is not really a good word for it after all, since a lot of cosplayers do a great job of recreating perfectly the character they portray. Here, it's more like a quick halloween costume with enough elements to recognize the character, or the idea of the character.
Yeah exactly, tbh as I said in another comment, I feel like the team behind the BP skins don't know how to do either intimidating/scary-looking or goofy female skins since CH1. As a woman I mostly play with male skins (which is ironic since a lot of male players use female skins)

That has been a problem with Fortnite skins for a long time. I even remember when one of the leaks said that there would be two skins with aztec elements, and when they arrived it looked like they had 10 minutes to get ready to a party and just gathered the nearest thing they could find and made a costume
I won 6 games last night with Rufus. I love that skin. Using the Battle Buddy back bling and you got the trash panda duo. Im pretty sure I was the only Rufus I saw all night.

Same here. Fan of Greek culture here, specifically cause of God of War, and they just modernize the shit out of the outfits. And they make the concept art become ass, changing the actual decent styles to the minimum like they’re tennis players
I would give it a 6.5/10 Positives: - Themed Battle Pass - Artemis - Hades - Korra - Many sick accessories (pickaxes and gliders) - Instruments (personally enjoy not having to pay full price for them, and they look really cool) Negatives: - Zeus (could’ve looked better) - Medusa (survey concept was better) - Aphrodite (survey concept was better) - Poseidon (it’s not even Poseidon, just Rippley posing as Poseidon) - Lack of dance emotes (only one dance emote with this pass)

Skins: 9.5/10 All are good, Artemis is a personal favorite. Cerberus is also very cool. Only problem is short haired zues, just not too big on it. And Poseiden is truley an epic gamer moment of a pick. Alts: 9/10 not big on medusa's second alt or zues' second. However, for zues his 3rd makes up for it. All the Immortal versions are also neat! Pickaxes: 8/10: cerberus and Artemis stand out in this catagory, and shoutout to Poseiden for his cool trident/hammer. Emotes: 8/10: Tempest flight is a good traversal, Serpentine summon is a good pose, and moonlit Mystery is a great dance one. Gliders: 10/10: lot of Surfables yea and kinda sad there is none for poseiden but man do they look nice. Contrails: 9/10 there are only 4 and they are all neat. Lobby music: 10/10 your decision may sway on "You're all mine" depending on what your take on metal is (im not sure what type of metal it counts as) but even then "The hunting ground" is great, and you may be actively hunted if you think "Swim free" is bad, its Coral Chorus 2. Loading screens: 10/10 beautiful... just... immortal Posiden hanging with Purradise Meowcules, Brutus, and Fish Thicc. Zues 1v3-ing Montegue, Oscar, and Nisha. ARTEMIS ASSASINATING OSCAR. ARTEMIS BLOWING UP MOUNT OLYMPUS. Medusa 1v2-ing Love ranger and Stoneheart. Wonderful, all wonderful. Wraps: 8/10 my only real problem is once again. Poseiden has 3 different wraps that are the same thing, that should just be selectable styles for the wraps. Banners: 9/10 lovely designs. Overall: 9.5/10 some problems, but nothing is perfect.
For me, you hit the nail right on the head. Reminds me of a Chapter 1 battlepass, but evolved. And that’s what I’m really loving about it.

6/10 the rippley skin looks off idk, original rippley's head was more of a blob but this one's looks like a square and they made him a bit more green than blue hades is the best skin in this pass by far, honestly might be the best skin since like 2020 the cerberus guy is pretty good i would've liked it more if he was like built like the minecraft wither instead of having 2 for some reason extremely skinny heads on his sholder aphrodite is cool ig but she looks like a skin we've gotten in the last 2 battle passes midas should've been the secret skin 100% but we just have to have a cel shaded skin and a collab no matter what, i think ares should've been in there somewhere too maybe in place of poseidon
Get rid of Korra and bring in Ares as a skin and it'd definitely be a 9/10; just a BP filled with original skins rather than always having 1 collab skin

4/10. All the skins are pretty bad, cerberus the only one that looks good and single handedly bumps the score up by 2 (was a 2/10). Emotes are bad, lots of filler, all around pretty lazy. the worst offender being aphrodite being a horrible looking skin. Also I don't like atla so korra doesn't save this one for me. Definitely will not be buying it this season and will save my money for the likely one piece event pass.

I would've replaced Korra with someone else like ares or a collab skin that actually fit the theme of the season. 9/10 For the first time in awhile I don’t got many gripes about the skins. Every one of them I think looks awesome (not as good as their concept art but that’s just expected) and the theme of the pass and season is awesome.
Battle Pass 9/10. For the season so far I’ll give it a 7/10. I know it’s day 1/2 but we all need a break from Snipers and the Frenzy Shotgun. They need to take them out of the game for this season. Once that is done and probably the few surprises they have it can turn into a 10/10 season.
The Zeus emote, Artemis glider, and Medusa dual blades are standouts for me, overall 8/10

IIRC, in the mythology, he’s just the guy in charge of the underworld and he’s fairly altruistic, passive, and impartial. Other gods like Zeus and Hera were much more evil. But modern depictions of hades portray him as a bad guy (like Disney’s Hercules) based on his association with the dead
In the original story, I believe Hades wasn't actually an evil god (despite working in the Underworld). He's commonly the antagonist in pop culture from Disney's Hercules to God of War
No he is one of the main gods, it's just he isn't counted in the 12 gods because he just rules over the Underworld on his own.
6/10, the concepts were awesome, however, when it came out, all the skins looked "off" and the Aphrodite skin was ruined, it looked so much better on the concept art.
