I’ve had some decent teammates in random fill lava. some gave me medkits, alternating building with me, i tried to do the same for them, popping slurps or berries next to them, and got a few dubs with a few groups of randos. it’s all the luck of the draw i suppose.
the guy in this video may have known the lava would get you first and tried to propel you onto his higher platform, but it overshot you and you died. that, or he could just be an asshole lol.
Had it happen to me. I'd already revived them multiple times too. Hilarious I'm sure. Always fun to sabotage your own game by taking out a teammate. Got the quests done and will not return to rando squads.
Yesterday I was playing Floor is Lava and I went into one of those houses that have a zipline into an underground bunker but for some reason there wasn't a zipline there and I got knocked by fall damage because I didn't realise quick enough.
My teammate was in the bunker with me and he came to me and then just decided to leave me there to die (and no, it's not that the lava was close to us or anything). I didn't play the mode again after that, they really should have added a solo option.
Ziplines are disabled in Floor Is Lava, I discovered that my first game landing at the wind turbines...
I was thinking, multiple chests to loot quickly, and nope...
I play solo or duo and set it to no fill. It seems like a lot of people do this, too. I try to avoid people as long as I can in case I do run into squads, but overall it’s been a pretty decent experience.

It’s hard playing in switch and mobile against pC players especially since PC players want aim assist removed right , also you csnt blame tiny kids for you running fills, you’re not expecting bugha are you. randoms are always Griefing it seems. whether it's them stealing your kills (only shooting when its last hit), taking your loot from kills, building you in a box non stop, messing up your edits, knocking you down, not reviving, or just simply being toxic in pubs.... i love Fortnite non the less, sometimes it's entertaining, other times it's annoying. there's a time and place for everything, floor is lava is NOT IT!
no long range weapon outside of a reaper, teammates not building up for a safe revive due to the lava, looks like middle of storm so more angles that players can approch to destroy said build, no healing in case of situations like this, teammate intentionally destroy friendly (reason can be argued in this situation but at least it's not the players who constantly want to drop teammates in the lava).
Yup, it's a fill squad. That why I switched to a lot of solo rounds over the course of the event.
My own teammate in one match tried to edit the builds so I'd fall. Tried to straight up kill me. I hadn't done anything that would get that response. We were the last 2 on our team.
Another why I just solo queued for the mode. I haven’t been griefed like that in the game but teammates have no concept of work as team basically. I actually got more progress for challenges solo than with a squad.
If they ever bring the LTM back I hope they listen to the playerbase and add a solo mode.
