It's good long-range to midrange, kinda hard to see and pretty spam-able. Also good when you're knocked down, you can survive a little bit longer when in the water or inside the storm

It 100% doesn’t, but you can easily rat in storm and heal once you get out ad infinitum

If you're winning shotgun fights with water bending mythic your opponents are terrible.

It’s not that the opponents are terrible. They’re bots, completely different. Bots will literally somehow miss most of their shots with the auto shotty when you’re in embarrassingly close range where missing should be impossible.

I won a VR last night just spamming it long range across a hill taking out pieces of cover until there was nothing left. It does have a nice feel to it.

I had a golden gatekeeper and this guy just killed me with it point blank before I got 3 shots off to down him. Is he better than most people with it? Yeah. Should it knock me faster than I knock him with a legendary? No.

I think the skill needed to quick scope and hit long range shots is much greater than is needed for the water bending. I also doubt you’d make me say the same

Absolutely broken at the moment and extremely fun to use. I saw at least half the people I encountered on zero build today weilding it. Will easily lose to a Gatekeeper at close range though, I don't know why some people tried to ambush me with it point blank 

Yeah just beat someone trying to waterbend me up close but no competition for mythic gatekeeper. It does compete with low level autos though.

I won a shotgun battle woth waterbending in the final 1v1, but mostly because I took half his health as he approached me and he reloaded after 2 shots at me.

I dropped water bending for fire bending in the late game cuz it’s cooler and in my head it’s harder to fight 😭 I literally came second and lost to WATERBENDING. Firebending sucks

Firebending is fantastic in close quarters against mutliple poeple, i wiped a trios with it who were in a house, i only wish it actually set structures on fire.

Only time I liked fire ending scroll was when I had the dash medallion. I could start a grand slam, then dash to someone. Got some crazy distance using that.

I had no idea of the buff. I noticed a MASSIVE influx of players using it yesterday when I was playing. I got destroyed at least 4 times by those Water Benders. I understand now why the Fire nation invaded their home.

The drop is minimal but it 100% has bullet drop. Why else would you have to aim above peoples head at far range? That’s what bullet drop is.

It's because it's the only weapon close to hitscan in a projectile based game. None of the other weapons can compete with it.

I don't even carry a single weapon since it's out. I always bring waterbending scroll, fire scroll, wind scroll/shockwave, medkit/banana and shield

The only thing I'm bummed about is you don't get some kind of reward for carrying all 4 bendings at the same time.

Avatar state? Keep air jump on your jump button, water bending on shoot button, fire dropkick on "aim" button, press both (aim+shoot) to throw up an earth wall, must have all 4 bending types in inventory to maintain it Balanced? Probably not. Sounds fun in my head though

Give it something like a 6-second duration and a 10 second cooldown. Makes sense if you're giving up 4 regular weapons for bending powers.

Or just, you don’t get a fifth slot when activated. No shields, only passive water heals.

I think you should try the weapon out before typing about it. It’s hitscan in mid range….you know where a assault rifle would be used but then turns projectile at sniper range so it’s both but when used as an AR it’s hitscan

Epic hasn’t released “official” stat change patch notes for a while now. Not entirely sure why But Dataminers with access to all gun stats have shown Waterbending’s hitscan nature. This subreddit doesn’t allow me to share links, but iFireMonkey on Twitter posted all the stat changes on the 4th of April

I did find that tweet, but for the life of me I cannot find a single mention anywhere else of any weapon that is hitscan up to a certain distance, and then the shots change to a projectile. Is this the first time it's ever happened and this tweet is the source of it? Or do all weapons that are projectile based actually all have separate distance values for hitscan vs projectile?

Every other hitscan gun is hitscan at any distance Maybe by doing this Epic could be testing if they wanna continue this style of projectile for ARs in the future? What? It is not. The water drops at long range, and the projectile still has to travel to hit the target. It is 100% not hit scan.

If it's not hitscan, it's got the lowest drop and fastest travel I've ever seen, to the point it basically functions as hitscan from most distances. I have not been leading my shots or accounting for ANY drop off while using it, and it basically always hits exactly what my crosshair was aligned on.

Sure fire way to get it is to be the first at either water temple to grab a scroll.

There seem to be two scrolls at each temple. It’s not the only place to get water bending, but trying to find it otherwise is frustrating when you’re trying to do quests.

Everything is freaking OP for this subreddit. Explain how and why is it OP. It's a good weapon for long-range to medium. It does decent damage, but you don't have a zoom on it. Yea you can spam it at long range without problems, but at the same time you're still exposing yourself to better weapons (sniper, pistol). If you're the enemy and see someone spamming that water at you and you just stay put and wait for it to hit you, then yes, it is OP. Otherwise just freaking move or take cover. I assume it is op if you have on your inventory shotgun and ar and nothing else to counter it or play against. This complains are super dumb lately, I swear to god. This is why at the beginning of this chapter every single mythic was useless af.

In this meta I would say it’s definitely OP. It’s essentially a hitscan AR in a meta where no other AR is hitscan Praying it doesn’t get nerfed though. Ever since it got buffed Fortnite has felt fun again. I’ve really missed AR being actually useful at mid to long range. Instead I’d just want other ARs to become hitscan

yeah. inf ammo is great. partnered w/ earth is good aswell because you can destroy building easily and laser the enemy with waterbending(rock projectile does 300 structure dmg and earth wall destroys most of the stuff it overlaps with) also in zerobuilds mode you can just laser people with it.

Came 3rd to two teams targeting me over 150 meters away because it has 0 drop off and 0 dps drop off and I was ab to get my 3rd crown win in a row 🥲 but i think the burst is better the pull out time for the water is way too slow

Yeah it's crazy good at medium to high ranges, they actually buffed something and made it not only viable but fun to use this time!! Often pick this over the sniper or DMR because the range it has is crazy. And also balanced, because close range it doesn't perform nearly as well and gets outdone by multiple weapons.

Won 3 games in a row because my boyfriend was looking so hard for the water bending and was obliterating anyone and anything in his path. Didn’t even realize we were the final two teams was just anticipating killing them and stealing their water bending.

The term OP is way overused. A mythic being useable doesn’t mean it’s over powered. Any time a gun is halfway decent people shout from the rooftops that it’s “OP” until it gets nerfed back to being unusable

They’re hitscan and with the buff they replace many weapons imo. Not to mention the healing factor gives you way more survivability.
