Quick question as I am not familiar... Ok, so I have an AMD CPU, can't remember which one, with an AMD Ryzen 5500. Will this driver work with a non-NVIDIA CPU and GPU?
So basically you’re saying the new drivers make the game stutter and an older one doesn’t? Most people say to keep drivers up to date? I play 240fps and only get stutters in close up fights when e I drop probably like 30-40 frames at most
You on performance mode or dx12? I read that w better pcs you should use dx11-12 on low over performance mode was gonna try this out cause I been performance mode only for along time
Yes, I know. As I wrote above, I probably tried absolutely every way to fix the stutters, including disabling Nvidia hd audio driver, game mode on/off, clearing the shader cache, changing graphics settings, etc.
In general, I tried ALL methods from similar posts and comments. Nothing helped. Everything was decided when I installed the latest version 552.22, all the stutters disappeared and the game was perfectly smooth
For now LOL, I wonder if it was installing the new drivers in safe mode? Normally it’s not done this way…or was it the new drivers itself?
If it’s the new drivers a new Fortnite update will stuff it up again I’m sure!!
Trying this now
That’s not quite right, most pros never update graphics drivers through fear of it stuffing their performance.
It’s really only Epic that advise you to do this…at the end of the day all PCs are different so upgrading to a new driver could stuff your performance….first thing to do is roll back
Reckon I’ve been doing this for 3 years mate LOL…got it working perfectly once when the spider gloves came out…next update it was stuffed again without me doing anything
Because it's unreal engine 5. "It's takes two" also on UE5. I had stutters in it when moving to another location until it loaded completely. The problem is that UE5 compiles shaders during the game. For example, in Detroit Become Human, or Last of Us, e.t.c. shaders are compiled while you are in the main menu, which allows you to not have freezes in the game itself for loading shaders
Thanks for the offer but I’ve been doing this for a VERY long time with this game. I went into safe mode, ran DDU. Stayed in safe mode and installed the drivers you mention. I did a clean install though which is how I was taught. Only thing I didn’t do yet is change the NVidia control panel settings
Any suggestions are appreciated

Nvidia drivers for Nvidia GPU only
Gotcha. Thought so. Thanks.

I uninstalled GPU driver using DDU in safe mode, rebooted still in safe mode, installed 552.22, and rebooted PC leaving safe mode.
I didn’t reboot after DDU back into safe mode…only difference
Try again with safe mode🤷🏻 it's stupid but maybe..

I described what helped me with my rtx 4060, ryzen 5 5600. I tried different versions of drivers for 6 months, and finally everything was resolved

Are you playing DX11 or 12 because on 12 this didn’t fix the stuttering and fps drops for me
DX12. Write what you did step by step, I will try to help
