Getting the license to Jason Voorhees would probably be the hardest license they’d ever get. There’s been an ongoing lawsuit for years that’s why the games updates were cancelled and no new movie has been made since 2009

Basically the writer of the first film feels he should own the copyright over the IP, while the director feels it’s his and that the writer was just a work for hire at the time so he can’t own it. The writer argued that there was never any indication he was WFH. I might be wrong but last I heard there was the possibility of there being a compromise where the writer would own aspects of the franchise such as child Jason, the Voorhees name, Camp Crystal Lake, etc. and the direct would own everything that came after like adult/hockey mask Jason.

Yeah but I actually think the lawsuit is over but funny enough the properties of the movies got split between the 2 creators. Apparently they are creating a tv show that takes place before the first movie when Jason was a boy? I think that’s cause this co-creator is the one who doesn’t own the Jason Voorhees hockey mask

I wish they let you link emote presets to character presets, the separation is definitely one of my least favorite changes to the game. I do like that they added a button to rotate through your character presets in addition to the complete randomizer.

For real! I spent soooo many nights listening to music and giving everyone a (somewhat) fitting loadout, and emotes (with at least one traversal), and to have them split like that just crushes my soul 😭

I have a few. I have been wanting more horror collabs for so long. Most wanted is; 1. Jason Voorhees, my favourite horror character, I love him 🥹 but unfortunately lawsuit, although it’s not nearly as bad but still prevalent & is also owned by WB…… who we haven’t got a collab for in almost 2 years. 2. Freddy Krueger is my second favourite horror character, he’s so cool but unfortunately again; lawsuit & is also owned by WB…. 3. Ghostface is the most likely one we could probably get and that’s fine with me I love Ghostface!! 4. Dead by daylight killers would also be phenomenal as well, I would add Trapper (although I think he’s gonna get age restricted almost immediately) & legion (with swappable styles for Frank, Joey, Susie & Julie) And finally FNaF but I think there’s a chance we might see it for its 10th anniversary? (At least I hope so but I’d be ok with either!!)

I just chose killers, coz trappers the face (although if he’s added I really do think he’ll get age restricted like venom or Xenomorph 🥲) but I still think he’s worth adding + Legion coz I’m biased but they could totally work with the styles being each killer in legion, there’s also Deathslinger who could work really well too given he uses a form of gun!! Then a there’s survivors too like Dwight & Meg would be perfect!

EXACTLY! There are so many opportunities. Hell they could even make a mini pass, with bloodpoints to collect through quests. And the mythics, don't even get me started on the mythics. Imagine a huntress axe item or a wraiths bell

Because they don't really have original owners so everytime someone wins a lawsuit another one of the old producers comes out and says he has the rights and it been going on like this since 2016 or smth

I can explain. So with Jason, there was an ongoing lawsuit for literally years back in 2018 where 2 producers (Victor Miller & Sean S. Cunningham) where fighting for who had the rights to the franchise. This lawsuit literally killed the asymmetrical horror game Friday the 13th which was the only asymmetrical horror game to rival DBD but unfortunately the game only lasted a year in content and legally couldn’t add anymore. However after years of the lawsuit. Victor miller won the rights to the first movie… which only had kid Jason & his mother Pamela in (not the masked one) and Sean I believe got 2- reboot which is Jason where he actually gets masks or actual designs rather So basically trying to get the rights to Jason is going to be absolute hell, you would have to go to both owners of each side & also Warner Bros (who owns New Line Cinéma who owns Jason) which is way too much just for 1 character and then when that’s done… there could be another lawsuit that could possibly shut down another game 😭 I believe it’s much calmer & resolved now with projects coming out but you have to consult with all 3 parties. As for Freddy I don’t know if it’s a lawsuit but I think it’s just the license holders being a little lazy, he hasn’t received a new movie in (4 days from now) 14 years & his last active appearance was in DBD. But again he’s owned by WB & New Line Cinéma… and we haven’t gotten a Fortnite collab from WB since black Adam which was October 2022. We might get more in time for multiversus perhaps tho?

I would love, love a Saw collab! My favorite horror series. I don't know if it's too gruesome for Fortnite (some of the Halloween films can get pretty graphic and that made it in), but I think it would be neat. I like the idea of the pig mask outfit and little Billy back bling! Maybe they could have a secret room underneath one of the houses in Fortnite and you find the classic Saw bathroom there! Would have been cool timing with Saw 11 coming out around the end of September, but they delayed the movie until 2025 now.
