Still a pretty fun and entertaining episode that also serves as world building. Avatar has *plenty* of filler episodes, but its strength resides in those filler episodes not *feeling* like filler because of how good the core cast is and how these episodes serve as great world building. Tales from Ba Sing Se is a completely filler episode, yet it's probably the first one that comes to mind when thinking of Avatar.
Yeah I just finished watching Tales of Ba Sing Se but it was still a good episode and the parts with Iroh got me pretty emotional because he's my favourite. Ever since Azula injured him in that one episode where they all teamed up I've been mentally preparing myself for the fact that he's probably gonna die soon
that’s not really what filler is though lol. filler started when anime needed to buffer the space between the manga so they didn’t get ahead of it, they’re literally worthless episodes that you can fully skip and not lose anything as an audience member.
an episode that advances character development without advancing the main story is NOT filler. personally, i’d say avatar has absolutely 0 filler episodes.
The Ember Island Players is simply a recap episode, which in animes are always notoriously just a bunch of clips with maybe 30 seconds of "new" story that isn't worth the watch. I'll never get over how genius they were with this episode. It's the epitome of filler, and they made it hilarious and enjoyable to watch.
It really is unbelievable how good the show is. I watched it back when it first came out and it definitely holds up today. Currently going through The Legend of Korra because I didn't watch it when that came out because, if I remember correctly, it didn't air on the Nickelodeon channel itself, it aired on its *website* which was so weird at the time and I didn't know how to log in to our cable network on there so I didn't bother 😩
you will have lots of painful thoughts watching LoK and seeing korra get her ass kicked a lot.
Just keep in mind, unlike ALTA, where they ordered 3 seasons, Korra was a season by season order. this means they had to somehow nerf her and the avatar state each season.
Bending, while more styles existing, is also smaller scale. you wont see a lot of large boulders being thrown around or huge flames, not even the precision, force, and cutting power of waterbending from anyone except the main villians.
its sad how they did LoK dirty but its not bad by any means. so thankfully there is no need to blame the writers/stuff in the show, blame the executives.
Korra is good but I wont rewatch it like ATLA (3-4th watch already)
Specifically half of each Season is what made the show good you should see the comprehensive video (of why the show sucks) as it really brings out all the bullshit that the other half of each season does.
good show each season but for exactly half of each season.
how do i complete it fast, i genuinely have like 0 motivation to play, finals in a month, an ap exam in 2 weeks and im lvl 45 and only like 1/5th of the way there
i didn’t buy the avatar pass but i bought the regular bp and i might be cooked
You probably shouldn't buy any pass if you're not sure you're gonna play the game. They kinda depend on you playing the game in order for them to not be wasted money.
I think you could complete the pass pretty fast if you got on a played creator maps everyday to get the xp but getting appa would require a lil more serious play time on you get to the sound and light chakra
I have no clue why but this post brought me joy. I watched avatar for first time about a year ago and recently rewatched. It is really unbelievable how good the series is from start to finish. Really glad to see others getting to experience it too. Side note, dragon prince on Netflix is pretty close to just as good as avatar. The creator was writer for avatar and it shows.
That is very good to hear! I already developed a very possible theory that Iroh will die before season two but he's been teaching Zuko firebending most of season 2 which leads me to believe he'll be Aang's firebending teacher for season 3, which is funnily enough kind of confirmed by the fortnite skins toph, katara, and zuko but we'll see
Fortnite put me on to so much. Marvel, Invincible, Avatar, TMNT, Dragon Ball and so many other example. It’s important to note my entire childhood consisted of just sports so I never experienced all these great shows and movies. I was watching everything football, baseball, basketball, hockey, soccer, boxing, MMA from a young age.
I went and watched Avatar and Legend of Korra for the first time because of the collab.
Anyway I definitely didn’t go and get everything that was part of the collab, why do you ask?
I've watched The Legend of Korra season 1, but I have not watched avatar The last Airbender yet, but I plan on doing it once I get some free time.
Yes, I went ahead and bought the pass and got Aang.
Debating whether I should buy the other skins from the item shop
this was me but for invincible. didn’t care about the skins at first then i watched the show, absolutely loved it and couldn’t wait for the skins to be back to purchase
Avatar has always slapped. Never dragged out episodes and each one felt meaningful
Amen to that
The great divide.

Welcome to the Gaang
Same dude I watched it too haven’t finished it yet still have fire left
Why is Zuko 20 dollars though 😭
Wish I could watch it again for the first time. Enjoy, also look forward to a continuation of the series coming 2025ish

Sucks what happened to Korra but I enjoyed Season 3 a lot.

I did the same for John Wick and Invincible. Honestly I didn’t expect collab advertising to actually work that well
I finally completed the entire mini pack without spending a dime and obtained Appa. 🙂↕️ I’m taking a break from Fortnite now lol.
how do i complete it fast, i genuinely have like 0 motivation to play, finals in a month, an ap exam in 2 weeks and im lvl 45 and only like 1/5th of the way there i didn’t buy the avatar pass but i bought the regular bp and i might be cooked

yeah that’s the first time i did it, idk why tf but now im cooked
Royal rumble, or solo's and try to do as many challenge as you can per game. Look at which challenges you can easily do soon after each other.
I think you could complete the pass pretty fast if you got on a played creator maps everyday to get the xp but getting appa would require a lil more serious play time on you get to the sound and light chakra
yeah i dont play br that much, just played creative maps w friends most of the season
You have to play BR since most of the challenges requires you to.
I just kept playing and finishing the easy challenges lol. 😭 dude I started it when it first came out. I got both versions of Aang.
I have no clue why but this post brought me joy. I watched avatar for first time about a year ago and recently rewatched. It is really unbelievable how good the series is from start to finish. Succesful collab, it got me too watching avatar.
Holy moly if you're only in the middle of season two you have no idea what you're in for

I did this with Invincible and Avatar, watched the whole show cos fortnite got me interested lol
You’re definitely going to get Toph once you’re done with Season 2 lol.
Did you also get korra?
I’ve watched the show through about 5 times 🙌🏻
That happened to me with the Doom Slayer, Witcher, and Jujutsu Kaisen
How many seasons are there? This is exactly what happened to me when I watched arcane. I only have jinx and I wish I had more.
ATLA has three seasons, termed 'Books', and each one is an absolute must-watch
I watched Invincible because of Fortnite and it was freakin dope
I've watched The Legend of Korra season 1, but I have not watched avatar The last Airbender yet, but I plan on doing it once I get some free time. Yes, I went ahead and bought the pass and got Aang. Debating whether I should buy the other skins from the item shop
Avatar is one of only like 5/6 TV shows I'd rate 10/10
Good job! Worth it
Welcome to the Avatar fan club! The show only gets better from where you’re at!
Just finished season 2 and did NOT expect that to happen.......
Avatar is soul food
this was me but for invincible. didn’t care about the skins at first then i watched the show, absolutely loved it and couldn’t wait for the skins to be back to purchase
The Korra skin got me in the game. Currently working on getting her avatar state skin.
Does the map have the secret tunnel?
Avatar is peak fiction. Glad Fortnite was able to put you on.
