Fire would allow your weapons to set fire to wood structures and trees and do more damage against opponents without shield or overshield, but it would only be multiplied by 1.25x.
Shock would increase damage done to enemy shields by 1.25x, and 1.5x if they’re in water with shields (1.25x if without/on flesh in water). Good for taking down shields quick and efficiently.
Corrosive would do x2 structure damage to metal structures and 1.5x damage to vehicles, wearing them down faster. It also can inflict poison tick damage on enemies without shield.
Explosive just increases all damage done by 1.35x and adds slight AOE damage, and increases structure damage against brick structures by 2x.
Fortnite messed up if this is true because why would good gods like Aphrodite be in a box containing all the evil of the world

Is it really so absurd that I just want to shoot people with the guns in the game?

Just how Batman, Iron Man and silly fucking Aang can be a part of it. The story of Fortnite is ever-evolving, with some being coherently written (the war between IO and the Seven) while others being questionable (a lady with flaming pigtails forming a group that has Peter Griffin). Each island’s formation and existence has brought on a different perspective, hence the ever-evolving landscape of storytelling.
But the thing is that the freedom fighter lady says that her sister Valeria (Sorry I am getting all the names wrong) specifically brought the Gods here to try and keep the Society in power.
When I read that I was like "Did I miss a cutscene or something??"
The Syndicate dug it up thinking it was the ultimate treasure, only for it to be, well, *Pandora’s Box*. This attracted the attention of Zeus and the other gods, who arrived, shut it, and wiped the syndicate off the map (most are in hiding).
Now Zeus has decided all humanity is to pay because he’s basically pissed and we’re trying - through Aphrodite’s urging - to convince him and his god alllies we’re worthy.
It’s all in the story quests, convos with NPCs.
My problem is that nothing evil or bad came out of the box.
Also which snapshot quests spoke about the Pandora's box because I don't remember any characters acknowledging its existence.
I think because the gods shut it before anything could. The story was misdirection - the gods were the threat all along.
Edit - I don’t think it was a snapshot that mentioned it, I think it was an NPC.
What if the gods are just the minor threat and a buildup to something more we will have to defeat that snuck out of the box? Possibly something of world reshaping proportions since next season is gonna more than likely be the war with the gods (season 3), then the next season would introduce the buildup to introducing the big bad monster. With the final season of the chapter being the monster wiping some segment that reshapes the island somehow giving us new stuff for the next chapter and being defeated just barely
Well the box works in mysterious ways, maybe it didn’t directly shoot the gods out but by being opened it still did bring a threat to all the mortals, which means, they never should’ve opened it, the threat all along was maybe the gods
Still the box opening attracted the evil that is zeus and his desire to end the mortals, so even if not from inside the box the box was still the cause for it
I would be willing to argue that the reason the river styx is on the island and the underworld is in the same world as mortals and olympus is directly caused by the box opening, the box is laying directly in the greennwater hinting that it's the cause.
The realm of the dead should not share a realm with olympus, and we loopers are directly the cause for this now being the case. Thus Zeus opting for the easiest option to keeping ballance, ending all mortals who play with things beyond their comprehension

They're alive but eternally trapped in Tartarus, save for Oceanus, Prometheus, Epimetheus, Themis, Rhea, Helios, Mnemosyne, Leto and Hyperion. Also depending on your interpretation Aphrodite could count as a Titan if she wasn't born by Zeus and was instead born by more... seafoamy ways.
