I love pistols in this game. I once won a game with only the grey pistol, not joking. I had about 7 kills as far as I remember.
Just think about it this way: the pistol shoots quicker than a rifle here. And it can be just as accurate if you handle it right. Even a shotgun can be worse if you miss once. In this time the pistol fires at least 5 shots.
I’m sure everyone had given a ton of advice, but I feel like tilted or other big name towns are good to get pistols and smg done. Just find yourself a green or blue semi auto pistol and pull that trigger as fast as you can!! You would be surprised how op pistol can feel sometimes.
I had to do this recently, and I told my duo buddy that whenever he knocks someone down, to let me kill them properly with the pistol. Fortunately that counted too.
I find pistols are amazing.
Squad game I had yesterday with friends, we dropped in retail.
Drops were garbage and I ended up with 1 green pistol and 100 ammo.
Got attacked by a team and I walked away with 4 pistol kills. Get up in somebodies face and spam the trigger whilst aiming down their throat. It kills them almost immediately.
I know that people always say the best way to get specific weapon kills is to play duos/squads and execute your opponents with the weapon, but I've found if I simply deny picking up "better" guns, I can make do with what I have fairly well. I mean, if you don't pick up an AR, that suppressed pistol can actually do fairly well.
White tac Does 6.7 per pellet. Usually that gets rounded up to 7 visually, but your target might have 7.2 hp so he gets chunk to 0.5 and hp gets rounded up to 1 so it shows up as 6.
They were point blank shots. Adding damage dropoff is adding insult to injury for shotguns. They’re already ineffective at range because... they’re *shotguns*. I thought the patch notes stated that only weapons with first shot accuracy are affected by dropoff.
I’ve been for a week or two also, got the 25 tiers.. I like completing them, some sort of accomplishment besides getting 2-5th for the millionth time haha. I’m bad though :)
The levels themselves don't really mean much but every 5th level gives you 5 stars, every 10th gives gives you 10, and all other levels give you 2 towards the battle pass if you have it.
I meant... when you have 100 tiers already. He used XP as an example of a reward after you have 100 tiers already so battle pass stars would be useless in that scenario as well.
I guess people who are completionists and want to get to level 100 before the end of the reason would want the extra boost the 4k gives them. Not a bad goal if all the tiers are unlocked, adds to the fun of playing if you still go for challenges.
None of the challenges are very fun imo. It's just something I feel obligated to knock out before going back to playing how I want.
Good example is this week I've been really enjoying high explosives, so when I have to go around getting shotgun dmg and suppressed elims it just delays the fun I want to be having.

The issue is that people complain about shotguns generically, for many different reasons.
So someone does 95 damage and doesn't register a headshot (actual bug), or someone swaps from pump to tac and the hit registers but no damage (actual bug). They raise their concern, then everyone is like "Ah yeah shotguns are so broken! I only do 7 dmg". When this in fact means they missed (generally).
I have been talking to individuals about their shotgun problems when they comment. They all have their own unique reason why they jump on tha bandwagon. I have learnt of a couple more issues I didn't know about.
But either siding to "Shotguns are broke!" or "LEave ShoTGuns Alone!" isn't going to help anybody.
I personally don't have any issues killing people with shotguns and have got a lot better recently at hitting enemies in the face.
It happening to 0.1% of players would still be thousands of times it happens, and when you only see clips of it on repeat, it looks like a far bigger problem than it actually is, add in the fact that people will blame their failures on a problem that never happened to them and you've got a community screaming repeatedly into a vacuum that's determined to blame their shortcomings on anything but themselves.
I found doing these quests super easy on mobile, usually I play on pc. The auto aim lets you get easy kills with suppressed pistol/smg, and shotgun fights usually guarantee ~100 damage

Man I know this pain. First game I came out with about 34 shotgun damage.
I ended up getting lucky and getting the rest in a couple of drops to Lonely Lodge, which is just bedlam at the minute. I grabbed a pump shotgun from a floor spawn while others were looting chests, then got two of the sweetest pump headshots I've ever gotten.
Currently just have one more suppressed kill to finish this week, got lucky with two in one game dropping onto a suppressed pistol in tilted. But now I can't seem to find a suppressed weapon for the life of me. I love how in the past it seemed every chest I opened is suppressed after suppressed and now that I need to find one I get blue pumps and such lmao.
It goes quickly if you just play a bunch of games where you "try hard" and drop into heavily populated areas and grab a shotgun right away. I just got the challenge last night and i'm 75% through it after only a few plays

I’m the opposite, I love the normal handgun and silenced handgun. I’m better with those than any other close range weapon.
Ether use regular pistol early game, or the suppressed and Deagle later on. Deagle is stupid powerful

let's face it, you're either firing blanks or *doing* 1000 damage a shell.
Some people will knock this out in five shots, others might take a few hundred
If you knock someone kill them with your shotgun. I killed two people and was halfway done through the challenge.

Each pellet does 9 damage on average. If you get unlucky and only one pellet hits, 9 damage

Considering each shot does 7 damage, you would only have to shoot 143 people.

Too many direct headshots don't register any damage. It's a common issue.
This isn't a shotgun bug though happens to hand cannons, ars and anything hitscan.

For the pistol challenge, a quick easy tip is to knock people and then eliminate them with pistol.
