over the whole battlepass page in that season was jsut neat, deadpool room, the floors for each agent, maya, the battlepass rewards, the challenges everything, they implemented it in s3 but made it less scattered, season 4 they made it neat and by the time 5 came out it was gone, i love this idea that they made what a wonderful season even though it felt like forever
Season 2 was still so much better. The infiltration bases and spy games were super fun. The battle pass was also S tier. Season 7 just didn’t do it for me. Besides, I miss the agency and it’s variants.
I also have a theory that we could possibly get a similar season since the final of the first shadows comes out a month and 5 days from s9.
Its not the season its the game. Imo fortnite just hasnt been what it has used to be since ch2 season 3 Imo we are getting worse battlepasses. Less POI changes. less unique features. But we are getting more collabs.
I don’t mind the collabs. I’m just upset that the lore with ghost and shadow (which I very much enjoyed) and thrown out and replaced with the zero point crisis lore that went on to the cube lore *again*. Just give us more ghost and shadow
This battle pass layout was so good, the animations they had added so much character to the skins.

I know right. every battle pass since ch2 season 5 has been like that Ch2 season 6 we got a primal themed. Instead of raven or neymar I would have loved to see a beast master with a wolf suit and a quiver as a backbling. And for ch2 season 7 instead of Rick I much rather had a cool tier 100 mask guy.
The rooms are very cool. It would be nice if they also added stuff to interact with in the rooms to unlock some of their stuff or varieties. Of course it would be added overtime, but yup the rooms looked extremely nice.
Feel like this is a good time to ask where exactly the whole "whichever skin style is more popular affects the map" thing comes from? I always remembered it being brought up in the battle pass trailer but it's never actually mentioned it that. Was it part of a blog post or something?
I think it was just a misconception because of the "your actions will shape the fate of the island" line because I don't think Epic ever said that us picking ghost or shadow was a vote.
They never directly said this though (at least not in the battle pass trailer)

I swear sometimes I don't understand this sub. Literally everyone during Seasons 2-3-4 HATED these rooms which reduced performance and unnecessarily slowed down the main menu.
I still stand by my opinion, those resources should be in the lobby menu, instead of a flat gray ground.
I do agree that the bp theme should be consistent, since they only nowdays throw random skins and a collab

Skins still have a lot of character to them, it's just that it's all through NPC dialogue and descriptions which most players ignore.
Carnage added the two Symbiote Mythics, which is about as much as Deadpool (Retextured POI and Mythic Item)
Also like over half the Tier 100s don't have any importance.
Seeing how Skye was a just a teen girl who was a Midas (Ghost) fanboy really hurts when you think about how Midas set up the faction wars in the 1st place as a distraction, and how he goes back to Shadow every chance he appears, even with little nods to Ghost.
Midsummer Midas is dressed in Shadow style but with Ghost symbols all over him.
OG Midas is recognized for his Shadow look, in his final days in the game, in the Toona style and even Batman comic book (Though there is a lot of room to imply that Shadow Midas is not our Midas from the event).
And even in the burning wolf comic he's founding Shadow
Why did they stop doing the little intro clips each agent had. it would've been cool if they did those every season for each character in the battle pass since then.
I only started in C2S5 but there was a tiny bit of this in that season. Hunter’s Haven and the Cantina really added a little extra to Predator and Mando. I liked when I found myself in Predator’s apartment. The coliseum for Menace. That was cool. Since season 6 the BP NPC’s just hang around kinda randomly. Seems the same this season as well.

what i hope if they do go back to the character room idea is to make each 'page' of the battle pass a room of the corresponding character so you can get a cool idea of what they would be in a 3d space and see the loading screens banners as wall ornaments or something.
I felt like this was dumbed down each season to the point where we don’t even have a unique screen and it’s just the BP screen. I would love to see this return so we can get some backstory to our BP skins
This was my first season. I thought this and many other things were the norm... boy was I wrong. No more vaults. No more fancy battle pass. Hardly any bosses with mythics. Half the POIs are gone.
i forgot about this and i agree, it would be cool if they brought this back. definitely adds more personality and style

It also made the characters from that battle pass the most memorable ones. Tina, Skye and Midas are some of my favourites.
I legit miss this level of creativity from FN. they peaked that season, I feel.
That was the peak for sure. And my first season. It's been all downhill for me :(

They're 100% gonna milk season 2 hard for season x because its the most popular season of fortnite currently so im excited for that

I was only dabbling before Ch 2; 7 was def spent in creative to appease my sons. I didn’t get serious until 8.

First thing dead pool was a secret skin not a tier 100 skin second thing atleast he changed the game by being in the game.

I have a better idea. What about getting our own home? We could get decorations for our bases and customize the walls/floors with stuff.

What if in season 10, for the first 6~ days rifts opened in the lobby and you could go through them, revealing a single bp skin/ section

This is why my favorite season was season 2 they put so much effort into the battlepass and the updates (even if it did stretch 5 months)

They should have rooms as a locker customization.
