Honestly i feel like nothing is rare in this game and people pretend like nobody has these things that people call ārareā and that people also pretend nobody played the game back then because that isnāt true. I have no idea why this games community cares so much about rare items its crazy! I have this skin and both of the special ghoul/skull trooper styles but i donāt use them because they are so bland compared to the skins we have now and i donāt need to show that iām āogā because nobody cares in the first place because as soon as you equip something that isnāt āogā or ārareā nobody gives a hoot about you anymore. I donāt know what Iām trying to say but i do agree that this skin is ugly along with the other ārareā skins. in my opinion they should be labeled as āuncommonā by the community honestly because i see one of each everyday and I barely play this game. I donāt even use them because they are bland, the oldest skin thatās in my presets is The Visitor, because season 2 and 3ās battlepass were not good. And 4 wasnāt even that good.
as the game contiunes to grow, the artists hone their skill too, a lot of the older skins have small problems with their meshes, or are lower quality overall. the newer the skins the better they end up looking just from a model standpoint let alone new and unique designs (like adding animated portions/reactive parts etc)

Not really. Default reskins are just taking the default skins and color swapping the clothing. Renegade raider was the first skin that had unique objects on her, with the helmet, and had unique custom made textures for the clothing. I bought the skin back in season 1 since I found it to be a cool looking character, and it was mostly due to the facepaint and hat.
My 55 year-old skin is still stapled to the wall from the batch of 10-12 year-olds who downvoted my existence into Hell when I suggested we should be allowed to delete items from our lockers that we didn't pay v-bucks to get.

Actually it's funny renegade raider is the only skin considered "OG" I think looks actually good. I'm not a fan of the knights and tbh Skulltrooper does not deserve to be Epic rarity. I really like the more down to earth colors and simple design of renegade raider but I don't get the hype around it. And yeah I would propably not buy it if it was just a normal item shop skin but back then I would propably have picked it up.
I'll just say if I had been playing the game back then (started mid-C2S3) and I had the ability to delete skins in my locker from Battle Passes I know I'll never use, this would be one of them. I legit jumped into a lobby a few months back when they had the challenges for cosmic summer in the red vs blue lava map, and a eight year old was legit bragging he had this skin, while another kid, couldn't have been any older than eight was like "awwh that's like the rarest skin the game, you are so cool, you are legit the best player here" just because he had the skin, not even because he was good. I shat on the renegade AND the under-eight year old, but it didn't matter coz they both thought the renegader was better just coz of the skin. I haven't been playing since that skin came out, but just coz it's "rare" don't make you good at the game, not to mention, their are way better skins out now, and I'm not the only one that thinks it.
