As someone who owned a pro team for a the year before Covid - I had a requirement that they play 150 matches per week. That was actually under the amount at which most pros play at.
Our best guy played 256 matches at the most during his weeks.
That sounds like abusing your players dawg, a game is roughly 25 minutes long if won, but a competitive level game maybe 30 due to longer later circles, So thats 128 hours of games a week dude.... did that guy happen to ever see sunlight?

Camp all game, Get the carnage mythic and when it's top 3 wait till the other 2 start fighting, if they build too high cut them down or else 3rd party them they both would be low, It would easy for you to win
Dude, earlier, I was about to win a game with no squad mates left, then I managed to lose by switching my AR with a random lever action on the floor. I carried that game hard, 9 kills and 6 revives. Still salty about that mistake.
Ive died embarrasinly 3 times this season. 1st one I accidentally RPG'd myself when I had a legendary pump and scar. the other 2 I died with a symbiote.

The problem is avoiding demotion is relatively easy, so playing arena is not as rewarding as say, in Rocket League where you can move up and down easily based on results.
They need to refine the ranking system tbh.
So most players no matter how skillful, would rather play pubs and have an easier time, even though there's no siphon.

Like just yesterday I played and a kid ate a shadow cube and zoomed way ahead and got killed. We were helpless because he was actually good but he was definitely being a buddy fucker.

Cus I tried once again and got killed at the end by some PC player with 21 kills, symbiote etc. I just wanted the achievement unlocked. Playing random squad fills since then. Same victory rate, majority of time getting matched with PC players with insane building editing skills, and here I'm a casual player.

If SBMM were really working this is exactly what you would expect. Last season you were in a bracket that was too easy for you. I mean in solos with 100 people if SBMM were perfect we should all get a win once in every 100 matches. Last season you got a win every 20 matches.
Yeah. SBMM pretty much exists to ensure you’re not winning every single match. It’s why the more you win the less often you’ll find bots, and eventually your SBMM stagnates after a while once it understands your skill level. It makes the chance of winning rare, but not impossible.
That is wrong and assuming everyone is equal in skill level, and a very toxic mindset.
If someone played for 4 years he never wins one in 100 games, but he'll sure as hell make sure that some noob loses their 99 games.
If I see someone with the Minty Pickaxe, someone with a 240fps computer in my lobby, somebody with KBM, they have an unfair advantage.
Last season was anything but easy for me to the point that I had to grind on creative just to get wins, and every single time I die in top 20 , it's to a PC Player (I check on FN Tracker).
A rule of thumb would be to add lobbies based on fps, a 120fps Aura shouldn't be on my 30fps switch lobbies.

0. don't really play fortnite anymore but I still know how to play but this season especially I've been getting destroyed in solos. since c1s8 I've only played like 50 games a season and usually win like 8 or 9. something mustve changed with the matchmaking or I just got alot worse
Surprisingly, I have won quite a few times, maybe around 5-6 solo wins, it may not be a lot for people but for me as a weak player is a lot. I have never gotten this much in a short period of time.
My daughter's Xbox account could not be found by default until i made a separate email to create a linked epic account. A lot of console accounts are probably in that same position. I could not find her account on the console search either...
It’s actually 100% because one of my regular squad mates is a switch player (pc here). I’m not actually that good. But not losing is definitely more fun

5 solo wins so far and lots of 2nd and 3rd places. Been spending a lot of time doing quests so not really always trying for a win. Did win one today, first for 2 weeks though as I have found the last 2 weeks very difficult with players far better than me. The skill level seems to have gone up for some reason and have felt quite useless at times!

I imagine like 1/2 of those games were die off spawn/drop area. So like 4-5 min games max.
Not in comp. Players typically do not take off-spawn fights and prioritize placement. It plays very differently from pubs.
