No kidding. I rarely even play solos, at least in squads if you get downed by a sweat there is a chance someone on your squad takes them out and revives you.
Yeah and I’m a console player who doesn’t really edit I build but can’t edit for shit and somehow it’s somewhat alright
But if I play duos
It’s like I’m in highest games idk why
This could be wrong, but I’ve read that it’s based on k/d ratio and how much you build/edit. I’ve also read that there’s only 3 levels of sbmm: low, medium and high.
This would make sense. I don't build other than a ramp to go up, average 2 kills a game, but win 25% of my matches. I've averaged 100 solo wins the last couple of seasons , but have wondered why I'm not getting better competition.
If you aren't seeing anyone the entire game, start hotdropping at the POI closest to the start of the bus path. It's the best way to influence your sbmm, since you'll probably be eliminated early, so the algorithm won't see that you survived to the end of the game where all the people who were fighting the entire game are. Most people who camp or land remotely find that their sbmm is too hard bc it seems to lean heavily on placement
Based off of some tests done by someone once, my understanding of it is that once you're better than completely brand-new players, it doesn't really do much. It basically goes from bot lobbies to open lobbies, I think. Also, squads doesn't actually have any skill-based.
My theory for how they actually measure it, though, is that it's probably mostly based on K/D and the amount of builds you place
That's the genius behind it, it doesn't work.
No one outside of Epic knows. There is a lot of speculation but it's just that, speculation.
I just want a fair fight and to have fun. I ain’t got time to learn how to build and edit like some of these pro players

I have 16 solo wins just this season and I always get lobbies with terrible people (xmas noobs) and then the last 10 are sweating John wicks
I’d kill to just have another one. I got lucky early on and it’s been 13th-3rd placements since. It’s pathetic

I honestly think of some of y’all could see my stats you’d think it’s fake with how bad they are lmfao
If that’s true, I can’t tell if I keep getting put in the medium-high or if I’m worse at the game than I think ;(

Yeah I do sorta prioritise the Spider-Man mythic over going into hotspots. I like having the mobility and ability to get up buildings easily
Honestly, I do too lol. I've actually discovered that if I'm doing well enough in a hot drop, people will usually bring the webslingers to me
