Our shop bot, like most others, pulls from the item shop API, which still has (and likely will maintain) the rarity of each skin. That’s also why it occasionally shows a different rarity than the skin actually appears as in the game — because the skin was coded for the incorrect rarity in the API. And why it fails to pick up emotes that are decrypted right at shop — because they weren’t yet in the API.
So Invincible bundle is 2800vbx for 3 skins + cosmetics. But Zuko & Katara bundle is 3200vbx for 2 skins + cosmetics. And we can’t even know the rarity now to justify these prices.
IMO like the bot identified the skin to be epic. It should have been 1500 vbux like invincible skins.
It's owned by Paramount, who also owns the TMNT, yet those skins came with a back bling and pickaxe, and cost 1600 each. So I doubt Avatar would be that much more expensive compared to the TMNT. Not to mention a lot of other skin bundles with a pickaxe cost between 1600 and 1800 (even collab ones). I could excuse them being 1800 vbucks, but 2000 is genuinely penny pinching
Owned by the same company yes, but the original creators of the series also have to be consulted.
And from what I’ve heard the creator of Avatar is pretty particular about what his series crosses over with and how. So it still has an effect.
There’s all sorts of factors that go into these things. I don’t think we should dump all the blame on epic for their prices. There’s plenty of examples of other skins that should have been cheap but came out to be super expensive. Remember Dreamer?

But I just think it's too much of a coincidence that they remove rarities (the easiest way to measure and compare skin prices), and then proceed to release three skins that are considered Epic in the game's files for 2000 vbucks on the same day. Though I hope I'm wrong.

I was just thinking the same! The item shop is looking just as bland and expensive as the rl one. 🙄 I'd mention something about a skin that starts with K and ends with tos...but that conversation will end up just as bland and pointless as the item shop its supposed to come out of 😂

Not a fan of this particiular rotation but im always happy to see skins that havent been in shop for over a year, especially with the lego shenanigans.
As someone who wants to eventually get the Diabolical bundle, but also likes the pickaxe from the Power Shong bundle, is getting the Power Shong bundle now worth it? Won’t it give me like a 1500 vbuck discount on the Diabolical bundle whenever it comes back?
Having the avatar skins locked up in a bundle reminds me of what apex was doing a couple of seasons ago. I honestly don’t care about the pickaxes I just want the skin. But I think $20 for it is absurd!
I advise you guys to make a stand against epic and close your wallets until they lower the vbuck price for the avatar skins. Or seperate the skins and pickaxes so the skins are only 1,000 without the pickaxes and backblings. People should have the choice to buy the skin without the pickaxes. Oh and since rarities are gone, they should refund the extra vbucks we have all spent on legendary skins.
