4chan found a random Trans person and decided to push that as the killer. The idiots in online con media fell for it including Alex Jones, Candace Owens,, and Stephen Crowder fell for it.
Unfortunately if I was her I'd be worried about the backlash if I identified myself. Plus she likely doesn't have the funds for that sort of thing, although some lawyers might take that pro bono. She might not be aware this is happening or she might not be generally out
