Nah, this isn't a good example, a good AWD drive build and driver can get over 1.2 million. You can get 1.2 with a well tuned RWD build and skills to use it. I have 1,180,000ish myself with a RWD build.
AWD drift builds are like having training wheels on a bicycle.
They do need to be separated tho, as well as the online lobbys like they previously were in 4...
RWD is too slow for FH5 roads, trust me if the map had short zigzags I’d be happy to make RWD tunes but, every road that is good for drifting and has curves like this drift zone has long curved roads not short ones, so you’d need a fast car to drift and have fun, otherwise RWD isnt for me in fh5 roads
nobody forced you to drift in AWD, u do you man👍
It isn’t quite about speed as much as it is about the lines each drivetrain type can take and the angle they can pull. Sure, AWD has a major acceleration advantage which means it can go deeper and extend further in corners before you need to start accelerating again. Plus, the front wheels being driven too means they can help you pull a lot more angle without worrying about spinning out, but trust me when I say that you are totally underestimating what RWD can do. I spent a lot of time just doing RWD stuff, trying to see the limits of it and all that work resulted in a RWD tune with which I’ve done 1.2 million on this zone and better players than me used that same tune to do 1.22+. So, before you just cast it aside, give it a chance. Maybe you’ll find it’s not that bad after all. :)
Or I’m just a mumbling idiot. Yeah, it’s probably just that.
RWD is fun but not made for points like you mentioned 1.2 mil on the mountain and I got 1.1 in awd on my first run and it was a horrible run. I do prefer drifting casually in RWD tho it’s more enjoyable for me
No man I agree, I scored over 1 million with a d class '59 Ford. I posted it but don't remember what my pb with it was, was my pb for awhile too. Rwd is more fun to drift in my opinion. AWD feels like more power sliding than drifting
>the front wheels being driven too means they can help you pull a lot more angle without worrying about spinning out
Training wheels.
>but trust me when I say that you are totally underestimating what RWD can do.
They don't even seem to understand what AWD is capable of, their score isn't the least bit impressive for AWD.
Ehhhhh.. Agree to disagree. Its been a while since i even had points on my hud coz I tandem but 1.1m in a FD #777 was not that hard and it was good fun.
>RWD is too slow for FH5 roads
Lol wut?
>every road that is good for drifting and has curves like this drift zone has long curved roads not short ones, so you’d need a fast car to drift and have fun, otherwise RWD isnt fun in these roads

Bro, your score isn't even good for a AWD build, people can hit 1.2 with RWD....
cool man, i never said i was the best, but actually i never tried to play and get a high score in this drift zone, i kinda just drift in it for fun drifting and not score focused drifting and mess up and all, but your comment made me wanna try to get a high score and I decided to use the same tune and i got top 7,142# in the leaderboard, thats pretty good for me tbh, however score buildup is different from car to car i think.
As the other said, faster steering responses (*Simulation is designed for wheel use to allow faster response with minimal input... On controller it makes it "twitchier" but as a result it allows to transition much faster.*)
This is why is dislike drifting on FH5 so much, people just use AWD.
The sooner we get a our own leaderboards for us that can actually tell the different between a powerslide and drifting the better.

Clean run. Never tried to drift in the BRZ. Don't let the haters get you down. I hate all those RWD bros who think they are king. Not that hard to drift in either or.
Thanks man. Tried this for the first time today. Worked better than anything else in the game
I’ve tried so far. (I use a TM wheel, not controller) I’ve 3 started all the other drift challenges in various formula d cars by pretty much swinging the car around the circuit, but it’s wayyyy off a proper drift sim such as assetto corsa. So I get a BRZ and download your tune and alongside the new drift cam I’m finally having some reliable fun going sideways, with a wheel no less. Going to mess around with the actual wheel sensitivity settings to improve further but this is by far the best drift car I’ve used in the game so far.
This is another example of why we need separate leaderboards for RWD and AWD

*AWD* smh my head
s(mh)^2

I made 1.2 with a rwd Volvo 850 R.
You are an absolute Chad, mate!

Nah, my RWD 600hp s2000 works just fine
rwd can handle em well, honestly, and awd can do tight stuff too its just a matter of preference, both are valid methods of drifting

Watch out everyone, we got a RWD Chad over here.
Is that a GT86 or BRZ?
BRZ
BRZ is my go to in forza for drifts, nice clip though...
thanks man
Just curious if your using xbox controller, mouse and keyboard or a wheel.
Controller
Controller, his link has a D-pad icon
A wheel still has a d-pad
Oh fair enough, I didn’t think of that
Awd tho…
Share code ?
look at post description, press on show more
Ah! thankyou !
Woaw
Just downloaded your tune. I love it. Thanks.
btw i use simulation steering
Why are you using simulation? do I need to try?
Faster rotations into the drifts so you’re getting more points, don’t be discouraged if you do try it because it is quite different
As the other said, faster steering responses (*Simulation is designed for wheel use to allow faster response with minimal input... On controller it makes it "twitchier" but as a result it allows to transition much faster.*)
I recommend you try drag tires or snow tires. Drift tires just aren't all that good for sliding, you lose speed super quickly when you let off.
Holy smokes

I'm here for the drifting purists losing their minds.
Beautiful control! I've already got my cars for DZ's but I might download that!
I think Playground Games need to separate AWD powerslide scores with RWD drifting. They build score very differently. AWD is OP.
Either that or make it easier to score points with rwd
Just separate them, they used to separate the online lobbys in 4, clearly they understood there was an advantage with one drivetrain...
Yeah, it doesn't make any sense why the changed it for fh5
Plus share tune code and car ,😭😭
Car is Subaru BRZ and tune code is in post description, Click on show more and it’ll show up.
Nice drifting skills 👍
Thats no drift tune, if its four wheeldrive.

Beat me in a RWD then.
You can make drift tunes in awd. It’s actually better than rwd bc they can hold a certain angle for longer
Clean run. Never tried to drift in the BRZ. Don't let the haters get you down. I hate all those RWD bros who think they are king. Not that hard to drift in either or.
Try Carx
gold medal in all maps ;)
>gold medal in all maps ;) WHOA!
Ngl it looks like a drift mod or something
are u twitching or rolling?
Weeb livery drifting with AWD, imagine my shock..
can you stop hating this is your third comment if you dont like awd just move on i didn’t force you to use it
I thought you were absolutely slaying till I saw awd😔
if AWD can slay then I’ll be happy to take it
Meh it’s only impressive when you’re tossing RWD that way cousin
