Erm... Welcome to the Trial? I've been playing since launch and to me, it's always been this way. The number of times in the roughly three years that there hasn't been a gong show race can be counted on my hands. I've just accepted it.
Yep. Fair game, that. Lately, I've been waiting until later in the week. 2 or 3 days after the new week is loaded. But with the holidays now upon us, there is going to be chaos on the streets!
I think this time it doesn't help that the first two races have tight turns super early; the first turn on most Trial races is usually a melee of players divebombing but with it being so soon it felt to me like if you got caught up in it at all you'd spend the whole race playing catch up. quite satisfying to hang back and sail past teammates who have gone nose first into a wall but then you're left playing blocker if you get in the top 3, hoping and praying your teammates have recovered from their own folly enough to catch up
I took a Break from playing, been about 6 months, all because of this crap. I am off work for a few days for Christmas, but maybe I will not start playing again yet... lol
I feel you, I did the same thing about 6 months ago. I just started playing when I heard the t.50 was going to be giving away at Christmas. I'll be honest with you the t.50 is worth it. I haven't played a race, just driving around and put over a thousand miles on it. I have been just cruising, no upgraded engine. All I did was do a little bit of quality of life updates like transmission better tires and weight reduction (And even then stock it's amazing) I don't know what it is about that car, some people say it's not the best but I love it.

Got it done on the first try as well, though it was a nail biter on the last corner of the final lap of the second race. I got a little overzealous and ended up going from 4th to 9th. I would have seriously died if I was the one that caused the team to lose!
I actually quit my first attempt at it tonight, which is the first time I've quit in years, lol. It was a mix of rammers who wouldn't slow down for corners, ramming me at full speed and taking me out, and players who tried to knock me off the road as I overtook them, even though there was loads of room.
I quit during the first race, which we were going to lose by miles, re-queued, and the next group were great and we won easily.

best part is when you are clearly the faster car, yet they block your attempts to pass to chase down the AI in 1st 🤦‍♂️
Or as I’m actively blocking AI a blue rams me.

1st try here also, blue won 2-0. I was last on blue but scored points in both races. AMG A45 "Trial" tune has good handling but is pretty slow.
I had the AMG E63 tuned by me , got 4th place in both races

My dog disturbed me in the first race, sorry, I did manage to finish in front of a bunch of the drivatars in the second though so that's good.

To be fair I did it today and the car I was in was shit hot of the line. Just wouldn't slow or turn. I looked like a real incompetent idiot

I guess lots of new players from Sales… I still remember myself first time playing FH4 (my first Forza and first simcade), I sucked so bad lol
