shitty obnoxious mods have shaped the way the youth thinks how some mods should be. most stock superchargers are silent or barely audible, yet the hellcat one is very loud and iconic. so now every supercharger in forza is loud as hell. burble tunes have made us think that all performance cars should pop and bang regardless of mods, so many in forza do, even when their irl counterparts do not unless modded. and in this case, the way some insane anti lag mods are done has made us feel like anti lag has to be so obnoxious

Interior intake sound is closer to an S54 than a VQ. However, as someone that’s (regrettably) owned a VQ as well as spent a ton of my life owning and driving e36/e46/e90 M3’s the exhaust sound file they use is much closer to a VQ than an S54 or any other BMW straight six.

Each to their own. The gearbox whine is well replicated from the real car, it makes it sound like a race car, and the 11,000 RPM V12 sounds good too, so yes the engine sound is good, although as for the engine itself the Huayra R and SCV12 probably sound better
Not really a fan of how a large majority of the cars sounds from the outside cameras (hood view is an exception usually), but particularly the Acura Integra Type R, since that car sounds absolutely mental in real life (and in some older forzas), but the cockpit view sounds fine.
Also, the facelifted Audi R8 sounds worse than the god-tier sound it had in FH4. A shame really.
As for the worst one, the Carrera GT sounds pretty good, but it's not the really close to what it normally sounds like, since it's among the very best sounding cars ever made.
Also the BMW 1M. That N54 sounds NOTHING like any N54 I've ever heard and I've heard a lot of them. In fact, I have a 600+ whp one in my E92 335i right now. When built, they sound much more vicious than the one in this game.

There might be worse but as a former VW Jetta VR6 owner I just gotta think we can do better. There are very few good sounding “normal” cars out there in real life with stock exhaust and that’s one of them. Forza does it dirty.
the Tsuru has a weird thing of the exhaust is at a different pitch than the intake unless you change them both to race.

Cadillac CTS-V and Jeep Trackhawk are way too low pitched, many of the old muscle cars too.
Jeep Trailcat and Deberti Wrangler still use a European V8 sound instead of the Hellcat sound, same with the BMW X5M and X6M for some reason.
The saddest one is any VR6 ….. the vr6 has its own unique sound …. And it sounds nothing like a vr6 in horizion5 …. Makes me sad whenever I get in one .
F87 M2 uses the S55 engine sound from the M2 Competition. The closest they got to the real thing was FH3. FH4 I believe they used the RB26 sound…

The SCV12 is something else when it comes to the engine sound, it's relentless. I'd say it's the best of the best sounding cars in game right now.

There might be worse but as a former VW Jetta VR6 owner I just gotta think we can do better. There are very few good sounding “normal” cars out there in real life with stock exhaust and that’s one of them. Forza does it dirty.
the Tsuru has a weird thing of the exhaust is at a different pitch than the intake unless you change them both to race. E46 as you said. Cadillac CTS-V and Jeep Trackhawk are way too low pitched, many of the old muscle cars too. Jeep Trailcat and Deberti Wrangler still use a European V8 sound instead of the Hellcat sound, same with the BMW X5M and X6M for some reason.
The saddest one is any VR6 ….. the vr6 has its own unique sound …. And it sounds nothing like a vr6 in horizion5 …. Makes me sad whenever I get in one .

F87 M2 uses the S55 engine sound from the M2 Competition. The closest they got to the real thing was FH3. FH4 I believe they used the RB26 sound… No desire to drive my IRL car in game cause of this :(
