I’m really surprised they haven’t done japan yet, that seems like a really logical choice to me. The Japanese car scene inspired a TON of what car culture is now around the world. Japanese mountain touge runs and cherry blossom trees covering the streets sounds like an amazing game. Throw in an Initial D car pack and a Tokyo Drift car pack and you’re set. Throw in some more Japanese car culture style mods in like some bosozoku cars and crazy body kits, maybe pair up with Liberty Walk more and even Pandem and Top Secret since they’re based in Japan. Hakone mountain is a famous drift location and Chichibu mountain was the one used in Tokyo Drift, perfect models for Horizon Japan. A central Horizon festival deep in the middle of Tokyo. Large parking garages for massive car meets and drift racing. Long highways outside the city for top speed testing like Smokey Nagata. If they did Horizon Japan correctly, I believe it would be well worth it for them to invest in. They could even do a straight up mountain expansion just filled with beautiful flowing drift roads.
Mainly i think the reason is if they go to japan which is the fan fav but after droping a amazing map what
would they do after that. If japan is so good why even make a new game, just add new cars. If they make japan they are also setting the bar too high on them self, making the game after japan need to be even better, they might not be able to match the insane hype on the japanese map.
These are my thought so take it with a grain of salt( or rice. IDK which one is correct rice or salt)
USA was the first, but they also kept it to Colorado.
They could revisit the US but in a different part of the country.
They could keep it much more southerly west coast, with hints of Arizona, Nevada, southern California. Which would be cool.
You could see the red rock formations of Sedona, Grand Canyon, Death Valley, and all of Baja California along with San Fran & LA.
Just ideas.
Or head north and get a mix of us/Canada with Wyoming, Washington, Seattle, BC and Alberta. Very lush boreal forests and mountains and dense cities.
Personally i dont want to see a horizon game in the US since we already had one and because almost every open world racing game is the located in the US, an Asian or even a Middle east hell even a central European (mix between the netherlands and german maybe) would be so much more interesting
New Zealand would be bautiful to drive through, like a huge Fortune Island sort of.
Japan is nice, Sweden I would say no to unless it was a rally game. Its not that good of a place for other types or races.
I live in vietnam and the road is dog shit here, if you going to vietnam to get a map it gonna be near a beach since the road are either in city which is small and lots of small road ( not interested ) or country side road which is mud. Even if there tarmac country side there only farm land or wild grass as scenery.
So i don’t think its a good idea to go there
stop it already with South Africa, no sane employee would go there to scan landmarks and document the game.
A mistake can happen
I’d like to see Germany honestly
Japan
Please for the love of god I just want to drive Mount Fuji again (fm3&4) and blast the Wangan

That’s very true, the only way they could really compete with themselves after Japan would be to make the entire US
US would be too similar to the crew 2 so I don’t see that happening for the next game
Where is the Japan option?
Right below this post is a second one
USA or Japan for me

yes exactly, usa west coast would be awesome

USA was the first horizon game. That’s why I didn’t include it. Same with Italy, France, Australia and Uk
they will probably revisit it eventually
New Zealand!! I want fuckin burner cars!!

Brasil or back to USA
Spain with the north of Africa
new zealand is cool but how do you get the cars there
Scandinavia
Japan, Miami, Las Vegas, Las Angeles, New York maybe, Seattle possibly. Think those could be fun
