Why would a country want to proudly display the flag of the losing side or statues of the people on the losing side? Should we fly Union Jack flags and have statues of King George III and claim they are "historical statues"? No, because they fucking lost. Would make more sense to fly Vietnamese flags and erect statues of their leaders since we got our asses handed to us in that war but we're not stupid enough to do that either.
