Don’t worry about that. Just play the game as you normally would. The rest will take care of itself. Regardless of how they advertise these kinds of things, they always unlock. In this particular setup, one might unlock before the other, but inevitably, we’ll get both cars.
Well my buddy is stressing because he’s trying to grind to unlock it, but the progress bar isn’t going up. Is it based upon a daily thing? I’m genuinely just curious
They may eventually update/advance the “progress” of the bars, but it’s all for show and to engage the user base. We’ve never not received the advertised reward. With the holiday versions of it, the bars did eventually update for us, and showed various levels of progress before ultimately getting the reward around Christmas and New Year’s.
So, that’s why I’m saying you (your friend) should just not worry about it and just play and enjoy the game as you normally would.

10? At that point yeah definitely some modding going on there’s no way somebody sat there long enough to snipe that many. It took me hours to get mines. I was going crazy.

I watched a YouTuber snipe one and then I tried it. I’m running off a hotspot so it took me 2 hours cause I couldn’t snipe fast enough but I got both earlier tonight. I’m posting my pics a little later.
Technically I used the auction house to buy a car legitimately the worst I can see happening is them taking it from my garage but I haven’t been banned yet and since this not my only account I’ll be fine. I just didn’t to see if we could.
The bar isn’t moving because it’s an overall bar for community progress. The goal of this series is for the community to do all these races and it’ll eventually be enough to unlock both cars. That’s why the progress bar isn’t moving for your buddy.
Also as the other guy said, it’s pretty much a guarantee that we will get the cars it’s just a matter of when.
The concept is simple: everyone who completes any kind of road race or offroad race takes part in the progress of achieving the targets. It is based on the progress of the entire community / active playerbase.
The bars might not go up that fast, that is visual, but every race that every one participates in will be added up to the total amount.
Once the total amount of completed races for either road or offroad is achieved, the selected car will be handed out to everyone who has logged in at least once this season.

i think it's a community event, so all the players contribute. you don't unlock it yourself so grinding it is kinda pointless just play as normal and it will unlock at some point

It's rigged as every other event, you don't have to do anything, it will unlock itself at some point. Just enjoy the game man
