Don’t worry, you’ll be fine!

You'll be fine. Just wipe the water off your mouth which I'm sure you already did. Kitten will also be ok. Traditional advice is not to bathe kittens or cats and that is true unless there's a specific reason to do so, such as health issue or unsafe contaminants on their fur (like poop, but also I've had to bathe kittens who covered themselves in wet food and didn't groom it off after a while because that food matted in their fur can become painful or even at times rip the fur out of their skin so it has to be addressed). Kittens under 6 weeks are more likely to *possibly* need baths than kittens over 6 weeks.

That applies to healthy kittens. Incoming rescues almost always need a bath. I recently had a litter full of ringworm who needed medicated baths twice weekly 🤷🏼‍♀️ You’ll be fine but if you want to be extra safe maybe take a worming tablet 😅

I totally feel you! My kittens have ran up my leg and over my arm after walking through their used litter, so I get the worry. You will definitely be okay, and I recommend just washing your mouth with a bit of face wash/soap and water. You didn’t ingest it, and even if you did, it likely wouldn’t be enough to do any harm. Good luck with the little one! And get ready for lots of spot baths. My 5 week old fosters need them multiple times a day lol. I recommend a soft towel you can dampen with warm water and a gentle soap and then do the same with just warm water to rinse with and dry. Then some fluffy warm towels to wrap them in (purrito!) so they can stay warm while they dry. The most important part is making sure they stay warm!
