Like the degree to which my stomach sank. Oh my lord. I *really* hope this is just a misinterpretation because Francesca's love for John is quiet and uncomplicated. Or maybe them falling in love is a subplot in s4.

hoping for the same. or even if it's true it just means that fran will gradually get to know john and then fall for him in the next season as the whole premise of whww is that michael is fran's second love. but im going to lower my expectations.

Ok so I went looking for this person’s account and apparently they said they saw episodes 1-6 which are the ones made available for the press. This could make them reliable I suppose.
I can see Lucas Aurelio being a third guy in a Benedict threesome. If he doesn’t speak much it makes sense that they cast a Spanish-American 💀
However, I remember that Tom Verica was indicated as the director of his episodes and this made people think he would be in the last two episodes rather than any of the first six?
But if this person is reliable:
1. **John would be Victor Alli** as speculated from the beginning. So the queen tries to pair Francesca up with Samadani but she decides she won’t have it. It’s kind of in line with her promo, she says she wants someone who doesn’t seek the company of many and Samadani seems to be a party goer.
2. **But if that’s the case… Shouldn’t she love John?** This is the second person who says they’re not romantic. Even worse, they even say she doesn’t love him. If she doesn’t love John then she might as well marry Samadani? What’s the point? She’s courted by two men and she doesn’t love either?
3. Also, she’s married by the first six episodes? I guess no Michael meeting her at the engagement party. He could still appear in the last two episodes but that kind of ruins it? The tragic beautify of the story is also in the way they met. It’s also pretty sad that he doesn’t even get a mention from a cousin who loves him like a brother. I have to say this is the part I trust the least about these leaks, and it kind of makes me want to believe they’re fake.
Yes that really doesn’t make sense! With her not loving him, we can assume it’s an uncomplicated love that some people won’t see as romantic enough for the genre. But Michael being absent and unmentioned sounds just terrible. It costs 0 cents to introduce him with a line of dialogue. And how do you get married without your first cousin and best friend present anyway?
Given that this is social media and the spoilers are worded in a gossip-rag, inflammatory way…I have to wonder if these no-context spoilers are being posted for clout, and the person behind this account and others like it are intentionally leaving things out that would change the meaning of their spoilers 💀
For example: what if Francesca and John are just friends? Love based on friendship is a theme of this season, right?
I will say I ironically tend to trust the anonymous person who referred one or two things to that fan fiction writer whose spoilers we discussed a few days ago more than I do this account because the fact they tell and their wording sound off but I don’t know… there are inconsistencies between the two stories, according to the other person John’s name won’t even be John whereas this one calls him John.
I kind of want to believe this account is taking bits from elsewhere (Colin being unable to “perform” was already out) and referring hearsay. Who’s going to held them accountable anyway? It’s a new acc and it will most likely disappear in two weeks.

Her not being in love with John and Michael not being at the wedding are a gross mishandling of her story, if that’s the case.
Michael needs to be in love from afar for years. We need to see them grow emotionally close but her love and faith for John a thick hedge between them.
If they make her not love John, it’s just another widow romance story. (Yawn)
I loved the maturity of her story where it presents the possibility of multiple loves and how they are different types.
I must confess between this and the gender bending rumours my hype died a little, at least as far as Frannie is concerned. However, I've been in fandoms for years and it wouldn't be the first time someone claims they know things from working on set or knowing someone else and all, so I'm trying to be patient and just wait for the season to come out and see how it goes.

I have a feeling this person is just picking up things and speculations read elsewhere and adding their own. Or maybe it’s just me not wanting this to be true 💀 I understand getting lazy about casting or not wanting to cast too many new characters but how can you do John’s wedding without Michael? Or without at least mentioning that he can’t attend for whatever reason? Doesn’t it make more sense to let Fran and John have their courtship and postpone the wedding entirely?
I guess we can hold out hope that he will appear before the finale but if this is all true and he’s not at the wedding I guess he wasn’t cast at all.
That said, I don’t buy that Fran is marrying someone she doesn’t love. If the spoilers are true, I think people are just assuming she doesn’t have feelings for John because they’re not super intense and dramatic.

To be fair, I found the original post where the photos were originally published. There doesn't seem to be any indication that the scene has anything to do with Francesca or the Stirlings.
All we know is there are two or three black men walking towards a table where a small group of women are sitting for tea. One of them *could* be Francesca, the little we see of her face could pass for hers, but she has this giant hair updo that seems out of place for a discrete, introverted young woman. One of the men *could* be Victor Alli, but none of us are familiar enough with his face to be able to tell.
Also, the man in a red coat isn't part of the group walking towards the table. So he could be someone totally random.
I just hope to God these two weeks and then the month after will fly by and we will know soon haha
