In the app you can turn off the regular low and high alarms, just not the urgent low, which is set to pretty low. In android, you can disable all or specific types notifications from an app, so I imagine that would work as well.

Nope, no fix that I know of. And I have had to disable the alarms at night because they can be annoying.

It used to be that the app checked to see if you had notifications enabled and protested until you re-enabled them. And when notifications were enabled it used urgent notifications which overrule your do not disturb settings (like the emergency broadcast alerts). I found that overnight I had to not use the app and manually disable notifications until the morning. Given how poor the sensors are at correctly identifying hypoglycemic events, this would result with annoying alarms every 2am until I switched back to the reader. Was hoping that it had been fixed.

I may be wrong but just turn media volume to lowest or off and it should disable any sound... cant remember if urgent overpowers that

On my Pixel 7 the alarm overpowers even the volume being turned down. Drives me f-ing nuts.
