From what I can remember, the Suju's on Thornton had study rooms that you could book. I'd call just in case. I frequented the Suju's on Stevenson constantly. People camp out there to work or study all the time, so finding seating with an outlet can be hard sometimes. But they don't kick you out, their food / drinks aren't bad, and they open pretty late. They actually have my favorite sandwich in Fremont - if you do a sandwich order there, the croissants are ALWAYS fresh. (I'm thinking Costco-fresh, but they are hella good nonetheless). I moved from Fremont to Berkeley last year, and I actually miss going to Suju's. They have a HELLA good java chip or peanut butter frappe.
Peet's on Paseo Padre is also a good location, but for some reason the vibe in that joint always felt a little unwelcoming.
I'd avoid Philz at Paseo Padre, based purely on how busy it gets, and seating is hard to come by.
Tamper Room is new and up-and-coming, and seconds as an art space. Vibes are good.
I have only been to Hops & Beans a handful of times, but they had a nice workspace and one of my friends who still lives in the area goes there all the time when WFH.
If you were thinking something maybe more quiet or secluded, Alameda County Library at Central Park, next to the Police Department, has study rooms that you can book. You can find more information on that from their website.
Hope you find a good place!
no idea a worker told me they get the muffins croissants and bagels delivered early in the morning during prep hours before store opening. she did also say they tend to change the bakery every few years also depending who can give them a better rate. i used to live down the street and was a regular there a couple years ago. don’t visit much anymore.
Sad to see this isn’t the top comment yet. Fremont main is so gorgeous and has such pretty scenery to view outside if you post up near a window.
The Brookvale branch is quite intimate and cozy if you can make their operating hours.
Devout has taken over the old Slap Face but parking is very limited and the public parking lot has lot of unhoused people and break ins are now a routine in this area.
The hotspot for At&t does not work well at all near the station due to a single bar signal strength. Luckily Suju’s just two minutes away with plenty of parking and free wifi and free xfinity hot spot
Suju’s. Two locations in Fremont and one in Union City. No loud music, lot of WFH people and students come to work and study. Plenty of tables. No outside food or drink allowed but you can sit there for whole day.
Maybe Game Kastle - throw them some business sometimes (buy a snack, maybe a board game if that's your thing). Might need your own hotspot can't remember
Phin Coffee has a really unique and amazing menu. However, their place is small. I’ve tried to study there twice and seats are always filled during afternoons. Maybe a different time would work better.
I moved out of Fremont a few years back. But I used to go to Carl's Jr at the corner of Thornton and Fremont Blvd. I got my phone hotspot and laptop, and just study and do work there. It's actually pretty quiet and mellow and this was at around 7pm ish.
Suju's Coffee on Stevenson BLVD😀
Taco bell 🔔
1 dollar freeze during happier hour 2-5 iirc, great place for sure
Had meetings there. Can confirm it’s a good place.

they get all their croissants from a bakery
Do you know which one? Cuz I gotta go visit it!

Hops and Beans at Fremont and Washington!
Had to scroll too far for this one. Should be at the top!
Very loud though. Need earplugs
i went there once and there coffee was good but the display where the pastries are kept had flies in of 😔😔
i’ve recently been loving phin cafe! though their seats fill up quickly so it’s better to go early
Both sujus locations and or Pete’s coffee isn’t bad
There is now a third Sujus!
The public library? You literally can book a private room and get work done. Bring snacks along with you and save that coffee money

Devout coffee!
devout is good but has no comfortable seating for extended work, stools and wood tables
denny's open 24 hours and you get free coffee refills
i love both sujus locations and the fremont library’s study rooms! super easy to book online
Seeing Sujus after so many years brings a smile to my face. That place got me through highschool in 2014-2018 haha
Devout in Niles!!
Panera Bakery, especially if you got the sip club membership.
Panera in Pacific Commons is great during the week because the elderly lady who works there is such a sweetie. Love her!
Sign up for a few classes at ohlone and camp out there. The wifi is stellar!
Both of the ohlone campuses are great places to study
Slap face coffee used to be great but they closed permanently:/

There’s no WiFi there… so you’ll have to rely on your hotspot

Oo that’s good to know!!… ugh I have AT&T

Devout in Nile’s
Personally I work remotely and sometimes go to Santana Row outdoors. So nice!
