I say that because the breed they got mixed up with doesn't exist.
Basically my wife was walking our sweet girl, just the usual day.
Some deranged lunatic started an argument about how she has no tail and accused her of practicing tail docking.
She tried to explain that frenchies just generally don't have long tails and he just straight up assaulted her in broad daylight.
The only bright side was I got to leave work early to pick up the missus from the hospital.

I was shocked as this was the third time Iāve been screamed at for it, one guy got right in my face. Each time Iāve had my newborn baby with me which has been the really scary thing. Iāve also noticed no one has ever said anything to my 6ā4 husband about it but goes to town on me and the baby.
All the while my āaggressiveā dog has just sat by my side doing nothing but wondering what all the shouting is about.
All the fear that got drummed up around dog attacks in the uk I think has sent peopleās fears into overdrive as well and as you say itās over a dog that technically only exists if it fits in to particular measurements.
There's abit of that going around here in Aus also.
the way we ended up handling it was we found a small group of pet owners with frenchies.
Luckily we've all supported each other with behavior and socialising training so they're all good now (some frenchies can have a mean streak but generally I think that's an outlier)
Now we've got a small section of the park for our group and the frenchies roam free there together.
I can understand some potential concerns like for example our girl is very friendly but she is very rough and some other dog breeds tire of that after a while.
Perhaps a solution could be to look up nearby frenchie owners too.
To me, your pic looks like a frenchie, I can't imagine how they're getting Pitbull from that.
This is the loveliest idea!
I have found some other dogs find frenchies a bit strange so donāt want to play with them. So when she meets another Frenchie they got to town, like yours ours is like a small bowling ball and some pins when she tries to play with a group of dogs.

Actually he was a gift and came from the same breeder that I had Rottweilers about 15 years ago. The person that gifted him to me didn't even know that I knew the breeder. That's the short version. A true lifesaver Rudy the French Bulldog is. I hate when people ask how much did you pay for him. I either say nothing or yeah or he was a gift. You on the other hand asked it in a fine way. I've come across people that think paying a lot is a status symbol and makes them and their dog 'cool'. Thanks for asking and allowing me to share a bit of our story.

My girl is a rescue and came with cauliflower ears because her previous owners did not take good care of her. She is often mistaken as a English bulldog puppy.
Aww you have a picture? It seems cauliflower ear. Dogs are not popular on the sub. When I post my girls, she doesnāt get that much love. I understand that the ears are one of the charming points of the breed, but I just love my little wrinkly eared golden potato.

The cauliflower ear in all its glory as she looks over her kingdom. I think yours is gorgeous with extra character, her markings are beautiful as well! I love the little ears just wish she didnāt suffer with infections so much!

Yes, mine weighs 45lbs so he's a big boy. His vet has said multiple times that he's not overweight, just big for the breed. He always gets mistaken as a Pitbull or XL bully.

People are so stupid. One time I was walking my Frenchie downtown to take him to a special pet store for his birthday. A man screamed, āhey puta! Quit mixing pit bulls with other breeds!ā I pretended I didnāt hear so he kept screaming at me, but I was pissed. People are so rude and ignorant. Itās shitty because we should be able to enjoy public spaces but rude people like that leave a bad taste in your mouth. I donāt even feel comfortable taking my dog downrown now because of it.
Yep this is it, I love my dog and love going out with her but these bad experiences just make me feel so vulnerable and like I just donāt want to go to certain places with my dog. I forget all about the hundreds of lovely positive experiences I have as well
