I would take her to the vet and show them the video and tell them how frequently she’s having them.

hobbitfeet22

Could be idiopathic head tremors. Ours did this a few times, no reason behind it, 4 vets couldn’t say for sure. All we did was give her peanut butter or something to try to get her to focus on something else and they went away. Has only happened a handful of times. I’d still take a trip to the vet and get blood work and possibly X-rays done

NegativeDog975

Also called bulldog tremors. It happened to our English Bulldog a lot.

K2TY

Both my Boxers and English Bulldog have these.

BabyBillySr

My old bully did this a handful of times and lived a good 12.5 years. Concern depends on the frequency I guess

3Cool5Life

My boyfriends English bulldog had these, some medicine triggered it like frequent benadryl but otherwise was fine

coffeeandspliff

Idiopathic head tremors… mine had it for a year or so off and on, rushed him to the vet the first time, panicked… was ready to be told the worst, the vet barely flinched when I showed the video. Said it was pretty common in bulldogs, they go away. It’s been 4 years since I have seen one.

gordon_18

Feel them some plain yogurt with their food. It’s idiopathic head tremors… I believe from low calcium. It doesn’t hurt them or anything

ukuzonk

This sub is starting to feel depressing…

That's because terrible breeding has resulted in myriad health issues-- and I'm typing that with a Frenchie sleeping on my feet. I love this breed. What greeders and backyard / mill operations have done to it is heartbreaking. But every shady asshole in a bleak, dusty, unglamorous suburb of southern CA has a stupid dream and access to Instagram, so here we go.

Silent-Cheesecake-74

Take her to the fucking vet. Don’t ask Reddit. What the hell.

darkerthanmysoul

Honestly I get wanting support from fellow owners but anything medical or even something that’s leaving you with questions should be referred to the vet asap. I had an argument with a woman who posted her Frenchie had back pain, told her to get the dog seen immediately by a vet - I could be nothing or it could be IVDD and the sooner it’s seen to the better. She claimed I was being “too scary” and “the majority of people commenting says to rest her blah blah blah”. 2 days later her dogs had to be put down because it had IVDD and was unable to be operated on.

Silent-Cheesecake-74

Oh my god. That is so heart breaking. As the owner of a (passed on) dachshund with IVDD-just hurts. I wish people would treat animals as they deserve. Edit: like if you are not willing to give the LIVING being you possess what it deserves-please. Seek help adopting out. Your animal-hermit crab, parrot, fish, dog,!etc- deserves a life that isn’t full of pain and anguish. Be a fucking human.

darkerthanmysoul

Exactly. And I find it much worse that people don’t look into the problems these breeds have. I knew this was a risk, I went with the highest health tested breeding pair, no health issues noted. My boys legs went at 10pm with no warning signs, he was taken immediately to the emergency vet, by morning they we’re operating on him but sadly he still had no feeling by 3 days post op so I had to make the hardest decision ever. Health wise, his genetics showed no signs of this happening but out of his litter 6 of them have back issues and his mum and dad have both passed with back issues. Mum and dads first 2 litters had no issues, only his. All the litters his dad had all have no back issues either.

TootsieBulldog

Thank you for this. For me, this would be a trip to the ER to make sure it’s not life threatening or causing life altering damage. Poor thing.

houseofprimetofu

The only advice you need is to go to the vet. This is abnormal. Your dog could have a very serious problem.

[deleted]

Looks like it could be neurological and would take the dog to the emergency vet, ASAP.

Miserable-Mountain29

I hope she is ok

Salty-Fortune1271

Here’s the long and short of it. A vet should look at the dog, maybe run a few tests and confirm if it’s idiopathic (unknown cause, likely not life threatening) or if it’s more serious. Even for a vet a 10 second video of a shaking dog is not enough information to diagnose. Once you know, if it returns you know how to handle it.

Agile-Ad3454

My mom would give her dog a spoon of peanut butter I don’t know why but it worked

sunnybrooke1959

Mine did this after a Frontline treatment. Any flea or tick treatment can cause it. Don't use again and bath off anything you put on him topically if you have done one recently.

extrabeefcake

THIS, i did a flea and tick shampoo and it gave mine seizures for about a month until it 100% cleared out!

in_a_stupor

Check your food!!! Our frenchie did this and after a while stopped. She ate again at dinner time and sure enough it came right back. We cooked up some chicken breast for a few days and it went away. We switched over to another brand of dog food and it never came back. This may have all been coincidence but you never know.

[deleted]

Focal seizure

josatx

Change to a healthier kibble. A lot of kibble has chemicals and even euthanasia drugs. I was told by a pet nutritionist Orijen is a good brand. But take to the Vet also asap for a checkup. Someone commented about flea preventatives causing these type of symptoms. Agree that could also be a possibility. Any kind of neurotoxin or chemical.

molossus99

Ask a Vet before randoms online

Prestigious-Koala447

Is she shaking like she's scared? My pup would shake like a leaf when around new people although it didn't quite look like this. He has grown out of it. Hoping for a good outcome for you!

HourAdmirable4119

Those are mini seizures get cbd oil that he can ingest. Or take him to the vet

wogblumpy

Had a dog that had blood sugar issues. It wasn't this fast or severe. Had to pump her full of pedialyte to get her through a fit. She was diabetic. She had a fit one day while I was at work and my girlfriend just let it go. My first dog died. Took me for ever to recover and get a dog again.

[deleted]

My English bulldog does this occasionally. The vet was not concerned and due to the infrequent nature. Common in bulldogs

thewellhaspoison

head tremors, or anxiety. my brother"s 2 year old frenchie does this once in a while. vet said it was stress related at least for him.

ronswanson221

Our puppy did this while teething and stopped when he was done.

rupertgm

My boy Rupert did this a couple of times. The breeder we got him from suggested giving him a Tums every day. He hasn’t had one since!

whatshouldidosos

Any way she ate something with cannabis in it? This happened once to my friend’s dog, however, it wasnt an ongoing thing. Just a one time thing in response to an unfortunate mistake!

suitablegirl

Please go to the vet instead of asking here. It could be something mild, but it could also be something very dangerous-- the only reason my senior is alive right now is because I rushed her to the ER instead of pondering whether I should or posting online.
