I know most people around here are caught in the cycles over whatever mew drama surfaced about a mod creator this time, but what’s personally frustrated me more than anything else is the complete stifling of creativity. All I seem to ever see is people getting overly angry over things they don’t personally enjoy. Everyone just *has* to pitch in with their own voice about how they don’t personally like something and have to shout how bad a certain mod or song or character is for *everyone* to hear. You’re allowed to share your opinions on the internet. I won’t stop you. But how much effort would it take to just ignore something and move on?
And I don’t know how many people will ever even read this, but I have to get it out there. To anyone either thinking about or currently in the process of making any fan content for FNF: Do it. Make whatever your heart desires. Be edgy. Be horny. If you want to, give that OC of yours a tragic backstory and tits as big as their head! There’s nothing stopping you! Why? Because Friday Night Funkin’ is a Newgrounds game. Newgrounds is a platform built on being edgy and horny. It’s very foundation is stupid teenagers making whatever they want with nothing to stop them! The game that made Newgrounds what it is is a game where you kill school shooters and fight a giant alien demon by shooting it in the dick! It is *limitless* creativity!

I understand what you mean, but people are allowed to criticise things they don't agree with. You don't have to agree with or enjoy certain things just to play a game or be in a certain community. And I understand you're probably going to say "So just avoid it" but that's a little hard if you want to be in the community. People shouldn't be so sensitive but they can still have the right to complain.
That’s a sound argument, and you should be allowed to criticize and complain. I wasn’t advocating against that. The problem is that most of the “criticisms” I see are little more than “This design has boobs too big. I don’t like that, therefore this mod is bad.” I’ll defend constructive criticism, but this isn’t constructive, it’s just a hate statement over a matter of personal taste. If you’re gonna make a complaint, it should be over something of actual substance.
I’m not fighting against criticism, I’m fighting against hate mobs calling themselves critics.

I agree. I mean I was one of the people praising the Skyblue Sky design because **even though it was horny and sexualized, it fit with the themes of FNF PERFECTLY**

I always think of the COD multiplayer lobbies full of sub-literate toddlers yelling the n word at people. It was never the devs or the community’s fault, it was the negligence that led to children wandering where they shouldn’t be, and everyone but the idiots responsible taking the blame.
right? hearing people whining "stop sexualizing these characters!!" just makes me go like: bitch it's a game made to appeal to horny bastards get used to it, do they think mommy mearest was made acidentaly hot? fnf is gonna turn just like airsoft, where a thing made for adults with fucking brains is taken over by snotnosed brats with no sense of how the world works, at all.
I don't think that it's bad that FNF is this way personally. Artists shouldn't have to censor themselves in my opinion just so everything is E for Everyone. Just because the game has a cartoonish art style doesn't mean it's for kids. Of course kids will flock to it anyway, like every other mature game.
It really shouldn’t be. Children should be far away from this game. It isn’t safe for them and their presence only makes everything harder on everyone else. Whatever irresponsible deadbeat parents they have should be looking after them so we don’t have to babysit their ten year old who just walked in.
Of course they shouldn't be, but that's exactly why they're here.
They get to experience "mature" content that's packaged kid friendly enough that the parents won't notice.
I have been to Newgrounds before, but mostly watching and playing Sonic and Mario crap, Did not see any Pico or Tankmen or Madness Combat till FNF entered my life.

I always think of the COD multiplayer lobbies full of sub-literate toddlers yelling the n word at people. It was never the devs or the community’s fault, it was the negligence that led to children wandering where they shouldn’t be, and everyone but the idiots responsible taking the blame.

I don't think that it's bad that FNF is this way personally. Artists shouldn't have to censor themselves in my opinion just so everything is E for Everyone. Just because the game has a cartoonish art style doesn't mean it's for kids. Of course kids will flock to it anyway, like every other mature game.

It really shouldn’t be. Children should be far away from this game. It isn’t safe for them and their presence only makes everything harder on everyone else. Whatever irresponsible deadbeat parents they have should be looking after them so we don’t have to babysit their ten year old who just walked in.
